I love the Gulf front view of the channel. I always see dolphin, manatees, stingrays jumping out of the water right from my balcony. I love the privacy on the large balcony. It’s our favorite hotel in Clearwater Beach. We also love the rooftop bar - the wings can’t be beat and the view of the city with waterways and the Gulf is phenomenal. And I appreciate the parking garage. We always try to get a room that has our view but also steps away from the door to the garage. It makes loading and unloading the car under cover so easy. Continental Breakfast is also a nice treat and included with the room. The Edge truly is our home away from home.

It was nice and affordable. Located on the gulf side, but just a 3 minute walk from Clearwater public beach. They even have 2 pools, one is an infinity pool! Very Nice.

The property was very nice but the elevators to the rooms were still not working from the hurricane. It’s a long walk to the North end where most of the shops and restaurants are. Overall it was a very nice hotel- especially the pool and tiki bar area!

Overall, staying at Edge Hotel was a good experience. Just a few things to be mindful of when considering this as an option for your stay in Clearwater- The breakfast is minimal; a few cereal options, yogurt, bagels and english muffins. There is no hot option and as someone who absolutely loves (and relies on) hotel breakfasts, this was a disappointment. A few elevators were down during our stay and the majority of the time, waiting for an available elevator took >5 minutes. Lastly, the pool area has no real shaded areas available- no umbrellas or cabanas. The pool is also open to the public. This was never an issue during our stay as there always seemed to be enough room and people were quiet and respectful, but something to keep in mind. Overall I think Edge is a great place to stay.

The heated pools weren’t heated. The elevator didn’t work we had to always go through the parking garage to our room. No housekeeping services during our stay. Had to call for clean towels on the 3rd day. It wasn’t that nice. It could be nicer. The ocean view was a broken dock.

The Edge Hotel is an older highrise hotel on the Clearwater Beach. The rooms are spacious and clean! The pools (on 6th floor) are inviting, clean, and provide a beautiful view of the beach... and setting sun! The Jimmy On The Edge bar on the 10th floor is fun and the food is good! The staff are very helpful and courteous. The only inconvience was the elevator situation --- only two of the four elevators were in operation. Evidently, the hotel is still recovering from the 2024 hurricane damage it suffered. Great hotel literally on the shore front!

The property is dated with smelly old carpet in the rooms. The beach is a short walk from the hotel. There was a weird smell around the refrigerator and the room service tried to enter at 8:30 am when we were still asleep 😳. Parking is paid but in the same building which is convenient. Breakfast was disappointing, the usual cold continental fare.

We love Edge Hotel and have stayed here twice in the last 2 years! Great ocean view and employees are kind and accommodating. The only thing we would say needs improvement is the breakfast as there are no gluten free options, other than some ill looking hard boiled eggs...the breakfast could be alot better..maybe some scrambled eggs, and some bacon or meat choices. Too many cold carb items. The infinity pool this time was super cloudy and dirty and we stepped on cups under the water..last time it was perfect, but this time we felt disgusted. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed the Jimmy Buffet weekend also.

Unfortunately, when I first arrived into my room, there were half filled drinks sitting in my room. There were two soaking wet towels thrown on the bathroom floor. I called the front desk to let them know about the issues and they sent someone up to take a look at it. After they took a look at it, and sent House Cleaner up to the room who wanted to know what I needed. So much for communication. The room itself had stained carpets. parking was great, I was lucky enough to have a room that was right across from a door that led to the parking lot. The restaurant on the 10th floor could use some help with an upgrade or at least fix the tables and chairs. The staff at the restaurant acted like they didn’t care. The staff at the breakfast were really nice though the food itself was OK for the first couple days, but after that, it was boring. I was surprised that there was no Beach and barely any access to the water. The pools were OK. the front desk staff were friendly and accommodating.

Tile around pool very slippery. Maid service very poor. Elevators run very slow, and b/c of layout you’re always having to take elevator. ( we understand building has no beach so it’s the lobby is on 6th floor). On a positive note, the desk staff, bartenders and food service people were very nice.

Great place nice location, cool bars pools and staff. But, for that type of hotel to have dirty stained carpets in the room chipped furniture and not to have sound proof walls that you can hear a lot through kind of surprise you.

it was nice. it was a bit annoying when the staff would not care/stop kids or teenagers hang on the edge of the glass pool on the 6th floor. multiple times younger people would hang on the glass or slam into it trying to get it to break and the staff at the bar would just watch. the rooms were pretty hot and the water wouldn't get cold. it was a bit annoying to have to walk through the hot car garage to get to the hotel. other than all of that it was lovely, a bit expensive but it was a beautiful property.

Instead of air conditioning on the wall like you would have at home they had a noisy unit by the window that didn’t even cool the whole room, it’s suppose to be a newer hotel so I thought that seemed like it was from an old motel

The view from our room was excellent. It was an ocean view. Customer service was great. Room was clean and nice and cold. The only 3 negatives was the king size bed was super firm so wasn't comfortable for us. But that's a personal preference. The water pressure was very weak in the shower. And the ice machine wasn't working on our floor. Other than that our stay was great. Close to everything.

Breakfast options were terrible. Very busy/noisy section of town. Will not be back to the hotel or this area of Clearwater Beach.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at The Edge in Clearwater. Our room was on the 8th floor with a balcony facing the gulf. We saw beautiful sunsets every night, dolphins, birds, boats coming by, etc. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, although free trolleys are available too. Beautiful pool and a unique infinity pool that was a great place to gather and meet others. Rooftop bar is nice too. We had the hotel breakfast once but also used the coupon to get a hot breakfast at Jimmie's next door some days. Staff were friendly and helpful from front desk to bar staff and maids. We asked a staff member to help us with the tv too. We walked the beach everyday! We definately will be back!

Husband and I stayed 4 nights for a quick birthday, beach getaway. All the staff were friendly and accomodating. After settling in to our room we realized the AC was not working properly and the staff addressed the issue promptly and replaced the unit. Our room was larger than expected with a balcony, plus had a microwave, mini fridge and a safe. It was comfortable and clean. Very relaxed, beachy atmosphere. Free continental breakfast from 7 AM to 10 AM. Roof top bar and restaurant. Another Tiki bar next to 2 pools, smaller pool is an infinite pool (on the edge of 6th floor overlooking Gulf). Quick, close walk to beach access. Located on South Beach right at the middle point of everything from Sand Key to North Beach. We will stay here again, it was a good experience.

First impression: Front desk staff (female) wasn't welcoming and on her cell phone. It felt like we were interrupting her. We were on the 9th floor; the room was clean and a comfortable size. The microwave and safe box didn't work, 2nd day coffee maker stopped working, no full-length mirror to see yourself from head to toe, water pressure in shower is poor. The outside pool and view were nice. The housekeeper cleanliness was great. The parking lot lower level was flooded but our SUV was fine. TV/cable should be updated. Walking distance from other restaurants and beach was good.

The outside pool and view were nice. The housekeeper cleanliness was great. The parking lot lower level was flooded but our SUV was fine. TV/cable should be updated. It was very clean. The staff was pleasant and check in was quick. The only thing they really need to improve on is the complimentary breakfast. Its not worth getting out the bed for. It was not even the bare minimum a chain hotel supplies. Overall I would definitely stay again.

Desk staff were friendly and the cleaning staff were phenomenal. However, we complained multiple times to desk staff that the guests staying by us continued the to smoke cannabis in their room, hallway, and balcony. This filled our room and the hallway with the smell of cannabis. One day we found these guest had climbed over from our balcony to ours to see if our balcony door was locked. Once again nothing was done. This made us feel unsafe, unheard and nauseated from this continuous smell.

Expect to pay an additional $40. per day for parking and the worst breakfast ever. Even though they say included. In addition toilet would not flush and shower door handle broke trapping guest in the shower. Glass was broken where handle attaches and they just put on a new handle. Literally stuck in the shower having a panic attack. 4 repair people in the room in a 2 night stay. Asked to speak with a manager and was told to wait in lobby up to 30 minutes as staff would not call for them.

We have stayed at The Edge during all our stays in Clearwater Beach since 2018 and found the hotel to be exceptional until this last stay. We booked two separate stays over the holidays. Awesome views!!!! The deck pool with the glass wall facing the ocean is really cool too! Staff and service took a hit on the rating I gave only due to issues at the roof top deck restaurant, service was frankly non-existent, staff(4 or 5 standing around) was disinterested in waiting on us after we moved from the bar to a table with a view. We ended up paying for the couple drinks we got and went for dinner nearby. Maybe collectively chalk it up to a bad day, otherwise the service was excellent.

Loved everything about this property, the room the view, the cleaning staff, everything! The front desk staff is what lost the 5 star review for me. The property was very nice but the elevators to the rooms were still not working from the hurricane. It’s a long walk to the North end where most of the shops and restaurants are. Overall it was a very nice hotel- especially the pool and tiki bar area!

I was a bit hesitant on booking this place due to some negative reviews but I cant understand why? We stayed 4 nights, everything was great! Pools were clean, rooms were spacious, clean and quiet. Jimmys rooftop bar - free fireball shot at 9pm, good food and views were wonderful. Breakfast was plentiful - continental style, parking very easy in the garage. Walkable to the beach. This is not right on the beach but it is like a 5 minute walk. There are many hotels in the area..I think this one was a bit pricier due to being right on the gulf side which is what we wanted. People talk of elevators being slow..but I never waited more than 2-3 minutes. I would recommend this hotel.

The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Great ocean view from the private balcony. The pictures show a dock area which is no longer there. The breakfast was definitely a disappointment. They had bagels, pancakes, boiled eggs, cereal and yogurt. No meat whatsoever and just very basic options. For the price of the room and the extra $40 resort fee they tack on, I expect there to be a better selection. You needed vouchers to get breakfast, which they provided but then the attendant standing at the breakfast area seemed to hover and watch us which was super weird. The hotel is about a 5-10 min walk from the beach and they had options to rent golf carts which we definitely would’ve done had we been there longer.

Received a room with a side room with bunk beds. Not sure that is what I booked but we enjoyed it anyway. The cleaning staff was courteous and helpful with bring more towels. The buzzing noise outside from some sort of hvac or fan unit definitely impacting the zen vibe of sitting on the balcony. The continental breakfast was suboptimal. No matter what time we went down. There were items that were out. No milk no eggs, on the last day resulted us in having to go out for breakfast somewhere else.
