Despite the ongoing renovation, the Holiday Express Leland was fully operational. Louise and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make sure we were not inconvenienced in any way. Breakfast was varied, fresh and plentiful, and our room was clean, updated and comfortable. We’ll be back!

Overall, our stay was really great. The majority of the staff were super friendly, and the breakfast was SO good each day! My family and I stayed 3 nights total. The only downsides were our room was not able to be cleaned a single time because they were short staffed (but where isn't anymore?!) and the pillows on the bed flattened very quickly once our heads touched them (but maybe some people like that?) The indoor pool was also broken which saddened my children but we know that was unable to be controlled. But the BEST part....the lobby had fruit filled water (lemons and/or oranges) daily. It was such a nice touch on hot summer days at the beach! Overall, it was money well spent.

They were in the middle of renovating the lobby and breakfast area and it was a bit of a mess. When asked why they didn’t let people know that before we stayed, we were told that it IS on the hotels main website but not on outside travel websites. Breakfast was nothing like what the hotel website showed due to being in a smaller room with few food and seating options. Will be returning to the Best Western across the street next time. We’ve been there and enjoyed it much more.

Our bathroom was dirty. The beds weren't made. Stains all over the carpets and the hallways. Pool was dirty and ice cold. Staff was nice is about the only thing this hotel has going for it.

Staff friendly. Lamp not plugged in and could not plug in. Room noisy and heard person above me walked around all night, frig bussing noise, broken tile in bathroom floor and missing grout. Outside environment backed up into wooded area that was secluded and not lit up very well and few placed to park in front and were taken.

Staff was friendly. Room was roomy. Coffee 24 hours was great! Breakfast was good. This may be a one off but the tub was not clean well. Had a lot of hairs and dirt particles all over. But overall, I enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

The girl, Allie, at the front desk was great, super nice and friendly. However, the carpet in the room was absolutely filthy, there was a small stain on the sheets and the sheets were not freshly washed, old residue on the coffee pot, and an overwhelming smell of marijuana in the hallway. I stayed for 15 minutes and checked back out informing Allie of the conditions. This is the 2nd time in 2 months that i have been very disappointed in a Holiday Inn Express and I will not stay in one again or recommend it. I requested a full refund and i expect to get it.

Beds were comfortable and sheets were soft. Shower head was great… but… Floors were dirty, dead bug in bathroom. Noisy air conditioner, squeaking noises all night. Arrived at midnight and random people were walking all around. Not worth $170 for a Monday night.

The sink was broken and so water filled up in the sink and would not drain. This was a housekeeping issue and should have been corrected. I checked in very late at night and was tired, so I had to let it slide. Also, there were pubic hairs on the bathroom floor and buildup of crud under the sink. Hair was in the shower, too. I did not enjoy my stay. I arrived for breakfast at 7:30am and they were already out of eggs and I had to ask for more to be made, even then only the smallest portion was brought out.

Clean, quiet and close by downtown for us love that they have all your needs for bathing. And they staff is very friendly and breakfast was delicious and well maintained thank you for a great night I wish we would have stayed longer.

Overall 9/10 experience. We stayed Christmas night to visit family in the area. The first room we were given smelled like a smoke stack , but the office attendant quickly offered another room once I communicated the issue. Room was spacios, and clean. Breakfast was good too. We would definately stay again . Hopefully they will crack down on the smoking in a non smoking hotel .

Unfortunately we stayed here on a night when they had a conference room rented out for an adult birthday party. The room where the party was held had no A/C so they had to leave the door open. Between the music and bass vibrating the floor of our room we weren’t thrilled to come back from dinner and find our respite from a long trip over. When I inquired at the front desk I was told about the posted quiet hours and starting at 10 pm the party would be over.They turned down the bass and we turned the fan on high to drown out the noise. Of course that didn’t stop people from coming down the hall being extremely loud. One person even fell outside our room and screamed out in pain. Before we could get up to see if they needed help we heard doors open and close and that was that. While I appreciate there are quiet hours in general I didn’t appreciate the way the whole night went down or the clerks tone. He did offer to move us to another room but by then my husband was ready for bed and we didn’t want to pack up having just unpacked. Maybe they could have isolated those who weren’t there for the party to the highest floor upon check in. While our overnight stay was not relaxing, we did like the proximity to dining and shopping and the property seemed clean and well kept.

We booked a room with 2 queen beds and a pull-out sofa. When we got to check in there was a sign that said they no longer offer the pull-out sofa and offered us blankets to make a pallet for someone to sleep ON THE FLOOR! I asked for a discount on the room and they refused and stated that it was the fault of Hotels.com for not updating their website. There was no security lock on the door inside of the room. The indoor pool that my 5 year old was looking forward to swim in had cold water. There was no seating in the room other than an office chair. There was certainly room for a sofa of some kind in the room (they had a coffee table pushed against the wall). Overall we were very dissatisfied with this experience with Holiday Inn.

Very nice property. The rooms were a bit dated. I understand they've started a renovation project. The staff were friendly and very nice. The cons, very difficult to access from the main road. You actually access the property from an adjacent shopping center. Also, there's no charging station for electric vehicles. Overall, id give it an 8 out of 10.

We've stayed a 3/4 times this year and loved our stay service and rooms are great but we were put on 1 st floor and we had a dog barking on one side and people above were stomping Evan at 2 this morning the tilt water was running for hours on n off after flush we traveled from Tennessee and it was not a good night sleep for our return travels

Nice, clean room, Friendly front desk. No hot breakfast during first two days, the oven was broken. The TV malfunctioned. Front desk was very busy and could not help, she was all by herself. No maintenance man. but I did some tinkering and got tv working.

We traveled from NY to visit friends and were having such a hard time finding somewhere to stay within our budget. Not only was this hotel in our budget, but was amazing. We were able to bring our dog for such a reasonable fee and the room was very comfortable. The free breakfast was delicious and a great selection. But the real reason our stay was amazing was JENNIFER!! She was the sweetest, most accommodating and so extremely helpful! I would stay there again, just because of her. Thank you for making our trip so smooth!! :)

This was an amazing stay I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel for the weekend. It is in an amazing location, 15mins away from Wilmington and only 30mins from the beach. I will only be staying in this hotel the next time I come back.

Property was well maintained and up to date. Room was clean, had every small appliance needed, as well as plenty of shower supplies. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful and offered wide variety of choices. Staff were all incredibly friendly and presented as genuinely interested in wanting to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Special shout out to Liz who was the sweetest, she treated us with such kindness and respect, thank you! We will definitely return to this facility for any future visits.
