This was a nice hotel with big rooms. You can catch several trams from outside the hotel which is really convenient and there is a metro station not far away. There aren’t any restaurant options in the hotels proximity but we rode a couple of tram stops to a lovely area with plenty of choice. We booked this for the pool as there was a heatwave when we were in Rome. It was okay however it is very tired and feels like a public lido. They open up the pool to the public so it felt quite busy and meant the showers and pool weren’t the cleanest. The sun loungers are very uncomfortable. The rooms however were very big and the beds were comfortable.

Stayed for 4 days with the kids. I thought it was a bit out the way but 15 mins to the Metro and walkable to Spanish steps, Trevi etc. Also 15 mins to the McDs , restaurants and ice cream shops by the Metro. Pool was a God send. Big and cool. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Room big and ok. Comfy bed and our own patio. Worth what I paid. Area around is nice, a carrefor nearby and we felt safe even in the park cutting through.

This a nice Italian style hotel with very friendly personal. Every day the airconditioned room was cleaned up with new towels. The breakfast was a buffet with many choices of different food. The swimmingpool was clean and very comfortable. It was not very clear if there was an entree fee for the pool, but at the end the fee was only for external users and free for the hotel guests. Tram and bus are very closeby as is the villa Borghese park. There is a bit noise from the tram, but we sleeped very well.

Nice quiet property outside the busy center of Rome. bus and tram lines right in front of hotel. The pool was great, especially as it was hot during our stay. The morning staff at breakfast hustled and were very friendly and great healthy selections for breakfast. Very clean pool and surroundings. Not a lot of dinner options close but a 10-15 minute walk away.

The pool at this location is a very nice reprieve from the summer heat. If they did any upgrades; it was the pool they did upgrades on & if the pool is what you need - this is a good place. Otherwise - this really isn't a 4 star hotel. The suites look like it was built in 1950's - and has not been updated either since 1950's either. The suite is carpeted from living room to all bedrooms. There is a musky scent & none of us wanted to go barefoot in the hotel. The beds are unfortunately extremely uncomfortable. You would feel every single spring on the mattress & 2 out of the beds had a noticeable dip in the middle of the bed from likely just overuse. The location is on a hill on the outskirts of city centre. We knew this booking this; but just beware that you'll be climbing a hill to come back "home" to this hotel each day if you don't want to splurge on an Uber. A typical Uber trip to Rome city centre from this hotel for 5 passengers is around 30 - 45 Euros each way; so be aware. The place is chepaer then most hotels around city centre but do note the cons above.

Ich war doch schon sehr erstaunt, dass ich für ein Spiegelei zum Frühstück extra bezahlen sollte, weil nur Rührei der Standard ist. Die Küchenmöbel waren stark reparaturbedürftig. Es gibt kein Restaurant im Hotel und auch die Poolbar mit begrenztem Snackangebot schließt bei unbeständigen Wetterverhältnissen.

Located by the beautiful Borghese Gardens, this property is in a nice quiet area, about 25 - 30 minutes walk to the Spanish Steps, which on a summers day @ 36 degrees is a fair walk. Perhaps a shuttle bus would be a good idea for elder patrons who can not walk that distance or families with small children. There are no restaurants close by and the nearest supermarket is a fifteen minute walk away, there is no mini market close by either. The staff provide excellent service though, were fluent in English and eager to help out. The apartment we had was a great size, comfortably appointed and breakfast was very good, the rooms and grounds are spotless, as is the pool area. However, at over 200 euro a night, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, it was one of those where two single bed mattresses are placed together to make a king sized bed. The mattress on the left hand side was obviously old and had collapsed on outside, the timber base creaking with every move made.

The room I booked was a good size and nicely furnished, but it was on the ground floor facing a busy street and not only was there a lot of noise, but passing trams caused things in the room to vibrate too. On the final day ants started to appear in and around the bathtub, there was an unenthusiastic apology at the front desk when I pointed this out.

The people and staff were very friendly. 5+ for how kind everyone was. The property was different than what we expected. I have attached pictures that look different than the website. The bathroom is very small. Only one person and no room to store anything. The stairs to the upstairs are very narrow and steep.

The unit we were given at Aldrovandi had a poor or too small air conditioner, no tv, and no wifi. It was hotWe could not stay there. We booked another hotel for those 4 days. Please understand that we cant be expected to stay in a misrepresented room.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. They allowed us to store our bags on our final day free of charge. The pool is included with the stay and is lovely. September is a perfect time of year to visit as it’s out of tourist season, the weather is still great and it’s not too difficult to travel. You can buy a 3 day transport pass for all transport and there’s a bus stop directly outside of the hotel which we used a lot. Also all of the city wonder tours to Pompeii are about a 15 minute walk to Piazza del Popolo and the drop off point is 10 mins. Would recommend. There aren’t too many restaurants nearby the hotel in a short walk, but you can take the bus anywhere you want so it wasn’t a problem for us.

My son and his family have been enjoying the Aldrovandi City Residence for many years .this year, my wife and I joined them there and we could not have been happier and more pleased with our stay there. Fairly priced (we stayed in the Senior Suite)..a wonderful breakfast with " endless" cappuccinos, classy entry Thanks Rafael’s! ( Luigi was the main man at the front desk..and he was gracious and professional..he even booked our Train trip to Florence and back for us). Great pool and pool bar,beautiful tropical grounds and walking distance to great restaurants, villa BORGHESE and shopping. We highly recommend it for so many reasons

In general a good option to stay in Rome. Located on the edge of Borghese park which is very nice. Borghese Gallery is also not far, Piazza del Popoli, Spanish stairs 10-13 min away. A few really nice restaurants - 10 min walk. The property is screaming for renovation but this is not unusual for Italy. Staff were nice, but room keeping were forgeting to replace body lotion. Breakfast was not superb, but quiet decent. As we were at the begining of Apr, the garden and pool were not functional and even not gaken care of. The area itself is kind of quiet the by Aldrovandi street get busy early morning and the noise wakes you up with windows open. Bus stop is nearby.

The staff at Aldrovandi was amazing! Great place to stay where you are close enough to the city center, but you can retire to a green area to get away from the hustle and bustle. It’s close to a wonderful park and zoo for different types of family activities. The pool came in clutch in those hot summer afternoons, especially for our little daughter. 10/10!

Rustig gelegen, tramhalte voor de deur - het openbaar vervoer is echter niet erg betrouwbaar, wij hebben vooral de elektrische step gebruikt. Kamerinrichting wat gedateerd, maar compleet en in goede staat. Zeer vriendelijke receptie, goede schoonmaak. Wij hadden de junior suite, erg ruim. Zwembad redelijk groot, rustig, ruim voldoende ligbedjes, handdoeken verkrijgbaar. Ontbijtbuffet compleet en zeer voorkomende bediening. Tip om daar een koffie-/heet water automaat neer te zetten i.p.v. de kannetjes aan tafel. Bij een volgend bezoek aan Rome vind ik dit een uitstekende keuze.

Die Unterkunft hat zwar ein begrenztes Parkangebot aber um das Hotel kann man gut parken. Die Unterkunft selbst ist zwar ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen aber die Ausstattung ist dennoch gut. Der Pool ist nach einem ausgiebigen Tag super! Das Frühstück ist gut aber ausbaufähig, da die Auswahl beschränkt ist. Das Hotel ist für einen Städtetrip sehr zu empfehlen und wir würden wieder kommen.

We enjoyed our breakfasts before long and dense days in Rome museums. Good transport choices to get around Rome. Very friendly staff. Will definitely stay next time in this hotel.

I like the location of this hotel. Its right next to a large park, which was good for my morning run. The room was equiped with a cooking/ washing area. The fridge was useful. Breakfast had a good continental selection.

Ich war doch schon sehr erstaunt, dass ich für ein Spiegelei zum Frühstück extra bezahlen sollte, weil nur Rührei der Standard ist. Die Küchenmöbel waren stark reparaturbedürftig. Es gibt kein Restaurant im Hotel und auch die Poolbar mit begrenztem Snackangebot schließt bei unbeständigen Wetterverhältnissen.

Nice hotel and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good , lots of choices. The hotel is a little isolated which was ok for us. We walked to some of the main attractions and the desk staff were able to direct us to some good restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are a little dated and in need of some upgrades.
