Parking was quite limited. Lovely place!

Beautiful hotel that is close to bars and restaurants. They do have a shuttle, but due to being short staffed they are not currently offering the service. Phil at the front desk is absolutely amazing!

Downtown. Street parking is limited although they have valet.

We were a little disappointed with the return shuttle from a concert. We called and lady said he should be returning to pick up soon. Too many people for that one, tried calling again and again, no answer and then got mailbox full. So no shuttle, had to Uber.

Very clean and classy, really enjoyed our stay! The bar area was absolutely amazing. You walk through the old bank vault and enter into this “speakeasy” type bar area….very cool concept.

Location is fantastic. A very comfortable stay. Parking is less than optimal but valet is super affordable and totally worth it.

Clean rooms. Parking was limited but did have valet. Staff was very helpful. The vault was cool. Definitely recommend to friends.

We were on the street side and even six floors up street traffic was so incredibly loud. We had two dirty towels, one had a hair embedded in the towel and one was stained? The staff are wonderful but this wasn’t our best stay.

Coukd have been cleaned a little better and our floor was bubbling up all over

We enjoyed being downtown with easy walking access to shops and restaurants. The hotel was beautiful and I enjoyed being able to select the style of room we wanted when booking. The only reason my rating is not 5 stars is because we walked into our room and the trash can was not emptied from previous tenants and it looked like the carpet had not been vacuumed. Everything else was wonderful.

There were long black hairs in the bed and bathroom

Staff was very friendly and accommodating, beds were super comfortable, rooms were amazingly clean and inviting! Parking is a little tight, but not a deal breaker at all. Hotel is perfectly located within walking distance of SO MANY THINGS~Falls Park, shopping, eateries and even a theater!

Great place to stay -- close to everything in downtown Sioux Falls, theaters, coffee, variety, restaurants etc. Room was clean and the bed was so comfortable! Next time I'm traveling to Sioux Falls, it will definitely be my first choice of places to stay.

Cleanliness was an issue as there was fecal matter on the toilet seat. Street level Parking lot is a nightmare. Room was very comfortable and loved being downtown.

This was a remarkably clean and comfortable hotel. The decor is modern and the room and hotel in general were tastefully decorated. Also the bed was extremely comfortable.

The rooms were great and the front desk was awesome. The cleaning service of the rooms could use some help.

Beautiful room overlooking the city. Room very clean and very nice furnishings and wonderful bed, linens, and pillows. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and has an excellent location with a very polite staff. However, I would not stay there again. The reasons are: The bed is extremely soft and very uncomfortable. The pillows are way too high and also uncomfortable. The room is very small and has no closet. For us, staying just two nights, it was fine, but for a longer stay it would be terrible. What they provide are three hooks on the wall and a few hangers, but it is not functional. I’m not sure if the windows are soundproof. Even though we stayed on the highest floor, the noise from the train and cars throughout the night was very loud and made it impossible to sleep well.

Rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable. Our room has a view of the river and the Arc of Dreams. Beds are super comfortable! Haven't slept that good in a long time. Lots to do within walking distance. Wish there was a microwave though. Didn't realize there wasn't until we went to heat up our left overs from dinner.

Super chill environment. Expected the staff to be more energetic and overly friendly for the price point. The room didn’t have a closet, but they did have hangers in a basket with hooks on the wall to hang your things.

Room was small and dimly lighted. Minimum desk space so not a productive environment if planning to do some work. Small morning coffee shop inside but, no breakfast.

Room furnishings were above average in style and quality. Revving engines of cars and especially motorcycles on the street below were loud late into the night. It was a Saturday night and there may have been more motorcycles than usual because of Sturgis.

The location is good and the view is nice. The staff was helpful. There are no drawers or closet for clothes- only 2 hooks on the wall. This alone is why I won’t return. The bed had a hard wooden frame that sticks out on all sides from mattress making it easy to hit your shin in the dark. We had no problem parking but that’s because it was Easter. There’s only like 12 spaces. All in all would say it is not worth the price

The room very nice and spacious. But could not regulate the room temp, unless you shut the shades… the towels are very rough as well as the robes… the room very dry… overall very spacious

We chose Hotel on Phillips because of the downtown location, near shops and restaurants, etc. It was lovely, and the room was well appointed and clean, the front-desk staff were kind and accommodating - that is up until we forgot something in our room and went back to retrieve it shortly after we had checked out. We popped up to the room and gift bag I had forgotten was gone. I went down the hall to ask the housekeeping staff if they had seen it, and to my relief, it was sitting on the counter of the staff room. I went to grab it only to discover the contents were gone. Only one thing remained. They had gone through it - including a Mother’s Day card they had ripped open and discarded, along with the other contents that apparently held no value. Those were tossed in the trash. This was all within one hour of checkout. I was so shocked I couldn’t even speak. It was so incredibly disappointing and such a violation. I immediately told the front desk, and apparently it was as shocking for them because I never heard a word from the hotel regarding the incident. I hesitated to write this review, but felt that since the hotel management felt no obligation to address this issue, I had to. While I realize that the dollar value of the contents of my gift bag didn’t exceed more than $150, it was my property, and it was taken. That is not only unacceptable, it is wrong. While the property itself is lovely and well kept, I have to say that their accountability is lacking.

The rooms are amazing, the hotel atmosphere is very relaxing and all the staff were exceptional!

The woman at the front desk for check in was very unfriendly. Seemed bothered when I asked for a dinner recommendation. However, the gentleman who greeted us with the luggage cart when we arrived went above and beyond to be helpful.

A never fail WONDERFUL experience at Hotel on Phillips. Convenient location and very gracious staff. Phil is always such a welcoming soul.

For the price paid, I expected a better dining experience and higher-quality customer service. On one occasion, I called the front desk with a request and was told to come down and handle it myself, which was quite surprising and disappointing.

Very nice hotel and comfy beds, but aside from the valet, the two individuals we encountered at the front desk may have been the most least friendly individuals I've ever encountered at any hotel front desk. Not one smile nor nice word (how about "welcome" or " enjoy your stay" or even ask " how was your stay & goodbye", I would even have accepted a smile.

Super clean hotel, super clean room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was lucky to get a parking spot but im sure the valet parking is just fine. Honestly one of the best hotel stays i have ever had anywhere.

Hotel is very nice! We have stayed multiple times. This time it was very noisy until 3-4a from the noisy cars outside and people in the halls. Windows don't seem to block out noise much. Would recommend not facing Phillips Ave. Also, no staff was at the front desk when checking out, waited for a while and didnt see anyone around.

Hotel on Phillips is a great hotel. The location gives you access to restaurants and the main drag is walkable. Front Desk staff had a great attitude and gave us helpful information. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sioux Falls.

The street noise. Loud motorcycle and car noise late into the night was annoying and disruptive to say the least. I wouldn't stay there again due to this noise issue.

This is a very nice hotel. It has lots of character, the rooms are nice, helpful staff, convenient location. We didn’t have time to check out the bar, but it looked cool. My only complaint is that it was loud outside while I was trying to sleep. It was a Friday night so people were out downtown, but in the middle of the night, there were loud cars which sounded like they were drag racing and a man yelling loudly out on the sidewalk. Maybe a room facing the river would be more quiet.

Great location! We enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants & shops. Really cool sculptures on Phillips Avenue.

Repeat guest. I will always stay here. My roommate had not been to Sioux Falls before. The downtown location enhanced the charm and ease of the city!

Great location and amazing hotel.

Room was very clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Parking was excellent, I was right by the door. Room was cool initially. Couldn't get the TV to work but it was possibly dead batteries in the remote. Advertisement said there was a restaurant but there wasn't. They had some bagels and muffins for sale but these were gone by 10 a.m. Room did not have an iron or a hair drier.

Beautiful and historic hotel and an excellent bar/restaurant!

Hotel itself was superb, however the hotel bar & restaurant called ‘The Treasury’ was poor. Hotel exhibited high level of customer service, but was quick to let you know it leased the bar/restaurant out to another company. Overpriced compared to multiple surrounding bars/restaurants on this active Main Street, the poor customer service here detracted from the overall Hotel Phillips experience.

Restaurant closed on Sunday nights.

Outstanding! My room was spotless and the staff were friendly and helpful. Fast and easy check-in and out. Great location and so close to so many dining and entertainment options within walking distance. But if you don’t feel like leaving, you can eat and drink on-site at The Treasury, which had great food and drinks. The bartenders were all 10/10. Overall a fantastic experience. This is the place to stay in Downtown Sioux Falls.

We highly recommend staying here! However, be aware that the restaurant is not open on Sunday nights. We are at Crawfords on their recommendation, and it was fabulous!

Excellent place to stay!!!! Beautiful historical hotel very charming, comfortable bed, great view, loved it was walking distance to shops and restaurants and if you don’t feel like going far it was so nice to go down to the main floor and enjoy a drink and appetizers at The Treasury, Highly recommend it!

I didn’t like the fact that the restaurant is not affiliated to the hotel. They don’t even open for breakfast. That service should be offered in order to improve the experience.

It's consistent and comfortable. Staff on hotel side is friendly. Bar staff could be a little more on top of things, service feels like there is room for improvement. But the hotel is great.
