Comfort Suites Sulphur-Lake Charles

Easy check in process. Friendly staff. I picked this hotel because it was close to the casino. The room #234 It had a smell of old mold, old carpet. I thought smell might have been because the room was closed so no air ventilation. I called the front desk and got some air freshener. It help for about 5 minutes, Unhelpful. Curtains stained and couldn't close properly. Lamps old and stained. Sofa unclean stains unsuitable for seating. Carpet smelled old. The bedding sheets where clean but middle sheets was yellow. It was a unrestful night.

Very friendly/helpful staff, very clean in all areas, nice pool, great breakfast optiins, easy checkin and easy checkout

The room was in poor condition. Chair was missing upholstery in spots. Couch was old and had dirty spots. Shower had soap scum on floor. Floor needed mopping in room. did not have carpet. The key would not work so you had to go get the front desk person to use her master key. I have pictures if you need to see. Breakfast was only good thing.

The room was clean, but the curtains were torn and part of it was unattached. The breakfast was okay but could have been better. The staff was very friendly and helpful, that alone is worth staying there again.
