Comfort Suites Sulphur-Lake Charles

Returning customer for a swim state championship. And as usual very satisfied with the hotel. It is conveniently located with easy self parking. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Clean. Breakfast included. Reasonable price as well.

It was clean. Service was minimal. Removed dirty towels but did not replace them. We had to go to the desk to get towels. Maintenance man was very good-replacing lightbulbs in 2 lights the day we asked. Front desk either could not or would not help with directions or information. Breakfast was plentiful. Gym was adequate.

I did not like this property I have stayed in comfort inn in other cities and states and this one was the worst not only did the front receptionist really not make a person feel welcome but the room was terrible dead cockroach in the bathtub huge door in the bathroom where you can't even move around in the bathroom and left the doors closed if it's open it's impossible to get past the toilet into the shower the TV was small the remote control was old didn't even have a sleeper on it no bathtub carpet to put down had to use one of our regular towels to step on to get into the shower coffee pot already had water in it who knows how long it was there and the location of the coffee pot up on the microwave was not good carpet was dirty had a mildew smell to the room elevator making noise needs WD-40 closing and opening breakfast was okay not much of a selection big trucks parked in the front of the hotel parking lot taking up more than two spaces would definitely not want to rent a room from this hotel again for $100 I could probably be in motel 6 or super 8 with a lot more quality hotel room

Room was fine, pool was lovely Staff was neither.

Appreciated the full hot breakfast every morning which included eggs and sausage. Also, was grateful for the evening infused lemon water in the lobby and for the night clerk "Chriss" who was super friendly and thoughtful. I will come back to this hotel in a heartbeat!

The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was very good. The only thing I could complain about was that the tub had a few chips in the enamel but it didn't take away from the shower experience. The hotel was an easy exit from the interstate but not so close that you hear the highway noise.

This hotel is old, out dated, and not clean. The toilet was dirty- dried fecal matter, and hair was everywhere. Would never stay here again, and definitely don't recommend.

The property and stay was acceptable/average. The place was clean and quiet. I will say, the AC unit needs to be cleaned. It was blowing some debris/dust bunnies onto the bed. Otherwise, I'd stay again.

Its a great nice kept secret. Room was clean and decent free breakfast. I'd stay there again.

Filthy filthy filthy

It was very dirty. The toilet was dirty, the tub u had to scrub down before I took a shower. The carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed. Over all it was dirty they need better cleaning crew

Place smells like an oil refinery. Hotel was dirty. Breakfast was gross.

This hotel has not been kept up to any standards. The room was filthy. There was mold/mildew. The lampshades were crumbling apart and the walls were filthy.

Reviews for this hotel are not very accurate ! Room felt dirty, restroom was moldy and lack of towels is something we had never experienced in hotels stays. Receptionist are not very friendly at least not to us.

Wouldn’t stay again too noisy in alway

The room was clean and comfortable. The price was affordable. The bathroom was a little run down but it was clean and functional. The water pressure was good and there was plenty of hot water.

The room was shabby. The carpet was disgusting—we had to wear our shoes because it felt wet and sticky. The lamp shades were torn. The bathroom door was coming apart. The lamps were super dim. The air conditioner didn’t work well.

The hotel is nice, we only had issue with our keys not working quite a few times and had to go get them redone.

Old, neglected property. In need of updating. Dim lighting in room. Odor in room. Well worn furniture, bedding, drapes. Lobby and entry way cluttered, dirty floors. Check in slow. Personnel not unfriendly, but not very interested in guests. I will not stay at Comfort Inn again.

AC was not working properly and everything in the room was poorly maintained.

Door was broken like someone tried prying it open

Hotel is old but has been restored. Bath room is pretty small. Overall I would stay there again.

Bed was comfortable. Room was dark and dingy - lighting was limited, one bulb was out, shades for lamps were torn. Bathroom tub could have been cleaned better.

Room was not big and front desk was not around when you need anything. No light bulbs in the lamps. And went to get some. They gave me the wrong size. The phone doesn't work.

I am actually locked out my room at this moment now 1:09am in the morning!! RIDICULOUS! Me and my wife stepped out to smoke and not were locked out because the hotel clerk says the battery is dead on the door!!!! I never in my entire life heard nor been thru a such terrible situation!! Please help me ASAP

Super friendly staff, great breakfast, and very affordable.

First off when walk into the property to check in. The front desk lady is playing on her phone and ask what do I want. Then after going back in forth with the lady on trying to check me in. She gave me a room that was dirty. The place has never been dusted and duct tape on the blinds. Also the bathroom had comment all on the ground that wasn’t cleaned up. Front desk said I need to deal with it cause they only have two house cleaners for the three story hotel. The only thing that was comfortable was the bed. The toilet would barely work. I asked for them to fix it and it never got fixed. The food was bland for breakfast no season. Then the front desk had attitude again at check out saying I shouldn't call corporate office to report them only contact the gm of the property. They sai hotel inc has not even responded back to my emails. I will never and do not recommend people to stay here

asked for towles at front desk because housekeeping never came next day the lady during the day stated housekeeping is supposed to give them without listening to me tell her she did not come by and i needed them to promtly shower and leave had to find housekeeping to ask myself and go out my way for towels should never happen

After checking out and at home. They called and wanted me to pay some sort of tax on my stay.

First off when we got there we could not check-in (and it was 3pm which is check-in time). So we waited until a room was available. They ended giving us a room, but it was not the room that we booked. We had to settle for lesser room. Once we did get to the room, we noticed mold in the bathroom around the tub area and also covering the ceiling. The beds were full size and we were expecting queen size like most hotels. I’m not sure why a hotel would ever have full/double beds. The place is desperately overdue for a remodel. We come to Lake Charles at least once a year and we do not ever plan on staying here in the future.

Check in was a breeze. Aysia was absolutely amazing! She was extremely kind and genuinely helpful. There was a problem with the room and she immediately took care of it by switching us to another room. She represented the hotel extremely well with her attitude and pleasant demeanor. Check out was easy and Tracey was helpful and friendly.

Checked in and left shortly after. Did not stay either of the two days I had booked. Went get another hotel. This hotel deserves a zero. The hotel and room smelled of vinegar and roach spray. Restroom was moldy and the back of the bathroom door looked like someone or something was scraping to get out. Very sketchy place. Loitering in the parking lot. Maybe good for a druggie or lady of the night but not for a family. Not sure why this hotel would get ANY good reviews.

Night front desk guy was very nice and helpful. Rooms need updating but were decent. Only thing that I definitely didn’t like was breakfast literally only carb choices, toast waffles cereal biscuits no options outside of bread

Stayed here for my 50th birthday. We were visiting Lake Charles. The hotel was quiet and clean. Nice, friendly employees. The free breakfast was great with a decent variety of food. I would definitely stay here again!

In comparison to other Comfort Suites this one needs to step up its game. Toilet didn't have sufficient fush power. A lamp shade was missing & the desk chair was broken. Room had a "quick clean" feel. The breakfast buffet with watered-down "vending machine" coffee is not motivating 😑

The property was close to the all the Casino's ,But the stay I had the doors keys would not work, The TV did not work brought it the front desk attention. Came up to help get into the room. Then breakfast was just biscuits and gravy and waffles no meat just bread.
