Pleasantly surprised by our two night stay at this hotel. The room was warm and comfortable, with facilities for making tea and coffee. Did not see a hairdryer though. We did not have breakfast but we did have an evening meal the first night and it was excellent. Generous portion of fish and chips, and I had the hunters chicken which was really tasty and filling. The prices weren’t bad either! I would stay here again when visiting Stirling.

Avoid at all costs Staff are unhelpful and borderline rude. Booked a double room for sole occupancy and was given a twin room. When I protested this was not what was booked I was fobbed off. I asked to speak to the duty manager and waited over 30 minutes before going back to reception. Duty manager was aware I’d asked to speak to them but decided I wasn’t her priority. Fobbed off that the hotel was fully booked and could not change my room and offer no alternative so agreed they would give me a refund and checked out. Went to another hotel. Now radio silence and struggle to get an answer from them with regards the refund. This hotel is tired and dated and the room I was given just felt unclean so I wasn’t prepared to stay there. Won’t be going back
