Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Corpus Christi Padre Isle

Overall fine, about the right price for the condition of the hotel. Needs some upgrades, repairs and deep cleaning. Location is great near the beach. Most frustrating was the lack of parking. They only have about 20 spaces for the entire hotel. People at the bar next door use their spots. First night we had to park down the street. The hotel next door has an entire large parking lot, but this hotel can't use it.

I will definitely book this location again. No pool but only 3 walk minutes from the beach, and breakfast incl. Room was clean and has everything one needs to feel comfortable. Clean fridge, freezer and microwave for in room dinners. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

We thought the property had a pool, but it did not. Evidently there are some old pictures from when the hotel was associated with the hotel next door and had access to that pool. When we arrived, the hotel smelled, but the location wasn't too bad being across the street from the ocean. We checked in and the staff were decently friendly, but when we got to our room, the best part was a decent view to the ocean, but the room smelled like a gym locker room and we chose to book a room at the hotel across the street and left. The staff reduced our charge to a single room night.

Expedia made some sort of error and cancelled our non-refundable reservation. All we had done was ask Expedia to modify the number of guests... The hotel was very accommodating and helped us work out the problem. Hotel was nice and clean. I loved the kitchenette and separate bedroom. Only drawback was no pool but we spent enough time at the beach that it did not matter. Very friendly staff!

Overall the stay was good. The parking situation was a hassel. Parking on the main road was not good, the small parking lot seemed to fill up with Tiki drinkers. We had to ask if parking allowed on the road all night. It would have been nice to have a place to rinse off beach sand.

The hotel is older but the location to the beach is great. The parking situation is not the greatest when the weekend arrived as there’s a bar adjacent the hotel. When I let the management know that all the parking was taken and the hotel next door had towing, he just shrugged and told me to park on the street…NOT OK as my husband is handicapped. Other than that, the staff were pleasant

The property was really nice and the staff super friendly. It was an easy 5 minute walk to the beach, which wasn’t at all super crowded. Has an awesome tiki bar right downstairs where karaoke was being performed. Overall great spot.

I liked the cleanliness of room, the staff were helpful, breakfast was good, parking was not to good, but we managed, wish it had a pool, but overall experience was great

Checked into our room, dropped our luggage off and then went out to meet friends. Returned late the night of check-in and notice there was defecation on the toilet lid and underneath the toilet seat. We used the public restroom that evening and notified the desk early the following morning and was told that the cleaning staff does not start until 9:00. We were checking out prior to 9:00 so we never got resolution. Emailed both the property and corporate and got a generic response. Will never go back.

Room was not clean. One side of the bed had chips and trash on the floor. Not what I expected from this establishment.

The floors were dirty when we arrived and there was hair all over the shower. They use tons of masking air freshener and everything is outdated.

Hotel is very outdated. The room we stayed in was very dingy. Mold was visible in shower wall/grout. Furniture is old. Window curtains were dirty.

This place was absolutely disgusting! Mold in rooms, growing on light fixtures, AC units, walls. The smell was awful

The shower curtain had blood stains and black spots what I believe was mold. I paid for 2 nights and only stayed 1 night.

We enjoyed our stay. We had a room that had a separate bedroom from the main room. We enjoyed that feature. Our room was big and had a small kitchen with a full stove, microwave and fridge. We liked we could make our own meals in place of eating out .

Hotel was old. It is worser than hotel 6 or 8. AC was waiting the floor. Water was leaking from sink. Floor was flooded. We found one cockroach in the first day. Lift condition was bad. Need to replace.

I would not stay here again. Pictures don’t match what you get. Room smells very musty & like mildew. Carpet ripped in areas, tile in bathroom cracked, a/c unit looked like it was about fall off the wall. Overall incredibly rundown. Our room was near the tiki hut bar and the music played until about 10-10:30 but the noise from the patrons continued until 1:30 in the morning.

Overall this hotel is great for the price and the room layout was wonderful. Beds were soft, bathroom had good Dove brand minis, and the full size fridge came in handy. AC worked well too! But there were two rather descent drawbacks: 1) The check in was horrible. The woman was very friendly, however we had already paid for our rooms (did so the morning of because someone called stating they had to run the charges or forfeit the room- so I went ahead and let them charge the rooms early) and she and her coworker insisted on swiping my card again stating it was for incidentals. I have fraud alert on my card to go off if anything over a certain limit occurs (especially on vacations-great idea and works well) it went off stating another charge was attempted by the hotel for the nights fee that was already paid. They insisted that’s not what they’re doing but they tried it three different times. I was frustrated, I let them process the charge again but stated if it did not roll off in the morning then it is fraud. They did this for all three rooms. 2) i asked when booking the reservation months ago for the rooms to be together(had 3 then added a fourth last minute). They not only didn’t have them close together but all on different floors. We weren’t thrilled at all. Total check in time took close to 45 minutes. We would recommend the hotel itself but we personally won’t be back due to the service.

Location was great. room was large just need to be remodeled. whenever you're close to the ocean like that everything gets beat. But would stay there again.

No Wifi in room. Would only connect for 5 minutes. Manager said because he could connect in the lobby it was too bad for us. Never got hot water. Was told to run the shower for 15 minutes and it was still lukewarm. This was an awful stay…. Please not give your money to this place

We like the location to the beach, however the property is looking run down. We found prior patrons clothes in one of the drawers. On returning one night we had to park on the street, the desk clerk was rude when we asked about the parking lot spaces. We then went out at 1:30 am to move our vehicle into the lot. The breakfast was sometimes cold and the pastries and bread stale.

I had booked through Expedia and had paid it before arriving there. However I got another charge on my card. I have email the property and called them which they keep telling me the manager is not available. This is an urgent matter I got charged twice for my stay. Im trying to get this resolved and Im not getting any answers. Please let me know what else you would need from me to resolve this issue. Thank you

My wife and I stayed here for four nights and really enjoyed the experience! The rooms were clean and the staff was amazing! A special shout out to the manager Jay who went out of his way to make sure we had an amazing stay! We will definitely be back!

The hotel was great. Large clean rooms. The best part was breakfast friday morning. The person on duty was Sid. Sid was very nice and accommodating to my kids as well as to all the other customers eating. It was a refreshing island vibe and great customer service to the point of “we would stay there again just because of Sid”!!!

Super friendly staff. Great room. Clean facility. Easy access to beach and seawall.

Close to Padre Island Nat seashore and the Island Market grocery store. Walk across the street and your on the beach!

Hotel was across the street from beach access. Room was clean and comfortable and loved having a full kitchen. Great place for the price.

Breakfast was a let down. The waffles had a sour taste, not sure if the batter was bad. Eggs and sausage were good but they ran out and it seemed as though the person working didnt respond to vomments about there being no main food items to eat. On a good note the coffee was good. Sleep arrangements were comfy but the room was tight. I had reserved for 8 people but it only slept 6 comfortably.

Great location for quick access to the beach. The staff was so friendly & helpful. Great breakfast on site. Room was comfortably sized. Lots of dining options nearby. We'll definitely stay here again.

We had an excellent stay here. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great and we loved that it was served until 10am, so you can sleep in if you want and not worry about missing the waffles. All of the staff was super helpful and friendly. It’s in a great spot very close to the public beach access and you can easily walk down to the beach in a few minutes. There is also a little bar on the same property which seemed like a fun place to hang out if you’re into that. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit!

Great service and good room type. We fit our kids and had our own space. I do recommend they buy a 2nd waffle iron though! The breakfast was good.
