The bathroom and shower doors slide close but don’t lock (never seen this in a hotel before). The doors are also just frosted glass so even less privacy and the bathroom fan is barely audible. House car was nice that does close by dropoffs but only one car so availability was scarce. The shuttle from the airport wasn’t running. Good food at the restaurant and you get a $23 food and beverage credit. Construction right out front and the entranceway is a tiny lane with a wall on the left. Very difficult for larger vehicles.

Conveniently located - close to the hospitals, which is why we booked at Springhill Suites/Downtown. The only thing is the parking fee. In my opinion, a bit too much (over $30 incl txs) per night. We paid $8 valet at the hospital. Big difference!

Arrived to a crime scene, ambulance out front and 18-20 police cars. Took 2 hours to get checked in and to our room. My children were scared for their safety. I asked local and corporate to move us properties and they refused. They just offered to cancel me. Once in our room and settled down, a drunk man knocked on our door and woke the kids around midnight. He knocked for 30 minutes, I called the front desk 3 times and got put on hold each time for several minutes. We travel frequently all over the nation and my children have never been so nervous in any other property ever. Parking is very easy, safe, and accessible! Pool was clean but closes early!

I chose this hotel because Bascom Palmer included it on their list of nearby hotels and said it has an airport shuttle. I was disappointed to discover that there was no airport shuttle. Someone needs to contact Bascom Palmer to update them on this change. The room and premises look nice but the bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way and the towel rack fell off the wall. It would have been nice to have a nightlight for the bathroom. The shower pressure was great and appreciated after a long day. The location is directly adjacent to a highway and it was noisy. Fortunately, I brought earplugs so I was able to sleep. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Not clean, the rooms smelled bad and the AC was noisy. Breakfast is very limited and poor quality. There are so many other hotels with lower prices that are much better. I stayed there because it is close to Jackson Memorial Hospital but you can stay in much better hotels in better areas, cheaper and better quality, and use Metrorail to go to UM or the hospital

Here for work and yeah… great size room, but smelled like sweat. Poop particles on the toilet seat, disgustingly dirty carpet, and a semen stain on the ironing board. The smallest pool I’ve ever seen. Water provided in the room for $8 a bottle.

The staff was nice but the hotel itself wasn’t as nice. Weird room setup, air conditioning was very inconsistent both in the room and as you walked through the sections of the hotel, from the hallway, to the elevator, to the entrance of the parking garage. For a hotel right in the city and next to a major highway soundproofing was clearly not a consideration. I was on the top floor and could hear everything from outside clearly. Glad they allow pets and I had my dog with me, taking great care to be sure he didn’t make a mess, but the hallways reeked of either mildew or peoples cats, couldn’t figure out which. This was the perfect location for going to the medical services of UM but that’s it.

The hotel was nice but the area it is in looked unsafe, and roads weren't in the best condition. The parking was very uncomfortable to navigate not to mention you have to pay extra to stay in the parking considering the aforementioned surroundings. The room was nice but extremely dark and had limited lighting.

Checking in took some time. One person for a lobby full of people. Breakfast was good and the staff for it was helpful. Room was musty smelling, very dimly lit, and the bathrooms are definitely in need of some attention. Better bring a flashlight as even with all the lights on in the room, you can hardly see. Several mystery stains on the carpet too. Rooms are crying for an update especially at this price. Location is not walking friendly unless you are going to the UF Hospital. Hotel does give you a 20$ credit towards the in house restaurant which is nice, but when everything costs so much it’s kind of a wash. 5$ for a small bottle of water is crazy. Overall an average hotel stay I’d expect at a Days Inn or Motel 6, but not at a Marriott Property. Beds were clean at least which is the biggest deal for me.

The hotel is clean, comfortable with ample parking. We went for medical purposes and it was super close to the hospital. What makes this hotel shine is the amazing staff! From the cleaners, to the kitchen staff to the wonderful front desk people - they all were polite, friendly and accommodating. They did whatever they could to ensure that we were comfortable during our stay and we are thankful for their care and attention. If I HAD to give a critique - it would be to increase the variety of foods at breakfast - it was a little monotonous. Otherwise - an amazing hotel with wonderful value. We will absolutely recommend to any of our family or friends who need to stay in the area for business or health related issues.

Only rating because we had such a pleasant experience with Thomas at the front desk! Our original hotel booked fell through so we had to scramble finding a new room after arriving late to Miami following multiple flight delays (don't ever fly American Airlines). But Thomas helped us get into an available room around 8am despite letting us know that it wasn't a guarantee. Overall would come back just because check-in was such a pleasant experience!

Overnight front desk staff (women wears glasses) absolutely disgusting attitude terrible service made racist remarks with another guest . Was completely embarrassed and uncomfortable. For I booked this hotel for my family to be treated weirdly. Wasn’t attentive stood behind another guest She was helping for quite some time. Completely ignored us .with them, conversing about nothing and laughing at the fact that we were waiting insinuating, racist remarks. Late at night. Never answered the phone when we called front desk from our room. Coffee machine was dirty, and broken. Microwave barely worked. Made our experience uncomfortable. I hope she improves her customer service and does not discriminate anymore. She also lied about curtains policies/fees and my bank statements did not match the price that she told me upon paying . Never have a problem paying I just don’t like to be lied about the price. It’s unprofessional and misleading. Just very unnecessary weird behavior from this individual. Overall the stay was tolerable other staff was friendly and informative when I addressed my issues and had great problem solving skills. It was just this one individual that worked overnight that just seemed that she hated her job and hate people. I will not be booking here again.

There needed to be more staff. The young man that checked us in was drowning by himself. Also we came back to the hotel late a night later that day and there was no one at the front desk. We needed towels and a blanket and the security guard had to help us after 30 minautes trying to reach somebody.

Would not recommend area. Doesn’t seem safe. Nothing in real walking distance Front desk and bar staff curt. Furniture and decor show a lot of wear. Obvious the cleaning people do the bare minimum. The courtesy vehicle is literally only run by 1 individual. You only get a ride based on his availability.

Decent hotel with a number of amenities and some transportation to places if needed. It's in a weird spot downtown though and access is really a pain. Even just parking and checking in is tough because they don't offer a good place to temporarily park while getting a key for parking. Also, the area is pretty sketchy with homeless around, police roaming the area, and generally not a clean surrounding area. Rooms were nice though and breakfast was decent. Not sure I would go back because of the parking and location.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff greeted me warmly and were attentive. The food was atrocious and very slow to take order and complete order. Finding hot water in the morning for tea was almost impossible. Hotel served its purpose; I was there because a loved one was in the hospital for several days.
