I would not stay again. Motion sensor lights in the room come on when one person moves. This blinds the other person sleeping. 4th floor but we had no nice view. The gym is just a small hallway with a few pieces of cardio equipment and a small rack of weights. The best thing was the Greek restaurant across the street.

The room was a good size and clean however my second room smelled heavily like smoking. Recommendation to the desk associate to work on the arrivals by assigning rooms in advance my case I had 2 rooms one for my self and other for the kids , I would be very happy if I was able to stay next to each other but I understand it s not always possible

Our first stay at the Residence Inn was good (7.5/10) The lobby and common areas were very pretty and relaxing. The hotel's breakfast was fantastic! It had a great variety of food and beverages. The hotel had 4 elevators that kept the wait to a minimum. The showerhead in the room was great as we really enjoyed the mist setting. We did not sit by the pool as it had didn't look to had been cleaned for a while. We also found a glass in our room with lipstick stains.

The hotel was nice, and enjoyed the breakfast. The bathroom had water damage next to the tub, and a stain on the lounge seat in my room (this was a minor issue and could have been overlooked by the cleaner). The worst part was showing up and realizing you had to pay $65 to valet park each time you wanted to come and go. They said this was normal for downtown. I did not know that, and maybe it was in the fine print, and I did not see it. Either way, the staff had no empathy and did not care as iff this was a normal routine for them.

It was nice for the area, i was there for a Conference at the convention center so it served its purpose. I did not like the room layout, very odd having the sink outside of the bathroom and no chair/sofa facing the TV mounted on the wall, just a weird overall layout. I also did not like that I was not able to do a late checkout due to my flight being at 10pm so i had to head to the airport way early to wait there.

The Residence Inn room was very nice. The room was a good size and comfortable. The only thing is the location of the TV makes it nearly impossible to see from the couch unless you're laying on the couch (as opposed to sitting), but I'm not sure how else they could arrange the room to fix that.

For a single traveler, i felt safe. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. The bed was super cozy. There was a topper on a firm bed. The linens were yum. I slept like a dream. Some people commented that the sink by the bed was weird but i love that it was not in the shower toilet room so 2 people could get ready at the same time. Their were plenty of linens. A fridge, microwave, stove top AND a dishwasher! A small table w to comfy chairs and a small table and living room chair to watch tv. I would stay here again!!

This Hotel is in a great location walking distance to everything but the up keep and overall feel of this hotel is tired and dated my room had a musky smell i didn’t complain or say anything because for the price and location i was ok with this.

Dirty, noisy, staff was rude particularly at breakfast one morning. Patricia one of the breakfast staff came up to me as I started to eat my breakfast and demand my room number. I showed her my room key and she said in a loud tone what is your room number. The breakfast area was full of people. I estimated around 20-30. I continued to show her my hotel key card and I also presented my identification. She made the statement that she didn’t have her glasses. Question for you. Why of all the guest would she just come to me and demand my room number and name? I reached out to the management team and have yet to hear back from them regarding this situation which was embarrassing and humiliating. I will reach out to their cooperate management team next week. I will discontinue using any of their properties until I hear back from them regarding their teams behavior.

Hotel was very clean and staff was helpful upon our arrival. Once we arrived at our room, the AC did not work and the heater was blasting. After notifying the front desk, maintenance was sent to our room. They said that the AC was fixed, but that was not the case. The heater continued to blast all night even with the thermostat set at 60 degrees fahrenheit. The next morning, we notified the front desk of the issue and they offered a room change. The front desk agent notified us that we would need to pack up all our items and bring them down to the front desk before she would change our room. I would have appreciated if staff helped to carry our heavy luggage throughout this process. The front desk agent was not very understanding or helpful during this process. The new room was clean and the AC worked better. Overall, I was disappointed with the service from the front desk staff.

So overall the property was good very close to at the park in the harbor in Seaport Village. I want to point out that the front desk was very rude to me on my day I was sleeping as I was looking to stay some extra time late check out she did not address me by my name she did not address me as a human she was so rude I had to walk away so FYI to Marriott that your people need to learn better manners !!

We had a very large homeless man come at us as we walked out of the hotel and no one from the staff that was by the door did anything to protect us. It was another guest that came to our rescue. You might want to get security to protect your guests coming and going to your hotel. Two women are an easy target.

The valet fee is outrageously high, but considering the neighborhood with high homeless rate, it’s the safest thing to do. I was disappointed with the Gaslamp district. Too many homeless around making walking after dark not comfortable. Wasn’t impressed with the food choices in the area as well. The breakfast was great in the hotel. The hotel restaurant was too limited in choice for me.

I was nervous because of some of the reviews related to noise, but I couldn’t be happier with my choice! I was able to check-in about 4 hours early, and the room was spotless and spacious. The location is great as it is so close to restaurants, the harbour and transit. I didn’t have any issues with outside noise, despite being there on Halloween. The staff was very accommodating, and I felt safe in the hotel (you have to scan your card to get to your floor) and in the area generally. I also appreciated having the restaurant in the lobby, and took advantage of the Happy Hour for late evening bites. I had considered more expensive hotels, but I’m so glad I went with this one because I ended up passing all the other hotels, which were all within blocks of each other. The only minor complaint I have is that the room was quite warm by the end of my stay, despite adjusting the thermostat. The hallway and the rest of the hotel were cool. Overall, I’m happy with my experience.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Literally minutes walk from anything in Gaslamp District. Feels like a really nice, modern boutique hotel, with nice staff who always greet you warmly and seem happy to help with whatever questions you have, plus great facilities too, e.g. was very pleasantly surprised to find it had a pool and very decent gym too. Great free breakfast as well, with a very decent range of hot and cold options. Would definitely stay here again.
