The Westin Lake Mary, Orlando North

We stayed there to be close to the Orlando-Sanford Airport.

The hotel is nice, my children enjoyed the pool and courtyard. The air conditioning was absolutely horrible, we switched rooms and that air conditioning was horrible. We were sweating all night and my children developed a dry air cough. For two nights we roughed it out,barely slept, as we pre paid, we were told the air conditioning would work as designed. The room thermostat said 75 degrees, we tried manually set the thermostat at 68 degrees just to attempt to cool the room down faster. Our whole stay the room temperature never changed so we ended up leaving all day and only staying the nights. The staff was friendly and apologized for the a/c. We had several parties stay at the hotel with us in other rooms who said the same thing. Overall our next visit will be elsewhere unfortunately and we will check the room before payment. Live and learn I guess…

Good hotel to stay at in the area

Ice machines on multiple floors didn't work. Public bathrooms by restaurant were unkept. No tp. No hand towels. Powdered eggs on the buffet.

The lobby floor/surfaces was not clean. The staff was nice. Doors/glass/windows were smudged and dirty. Room was comfortable, but hair in shower, sink and on bed. No daily service, for example our bed or towels were never freshened. We had to go to the front desk for towels. I feel that is not the normal 4 star hotel experience.
