We booked this hotel based on amenities. When we arrived, we were disappointed to find the restaurant and pub closed due to new management. The staff was polite, but there seemed to be one staff member on duty at a time. At times, there was no one at the front desk. The room was clean. We stayed for three nights and had to request a room refresh which was basically just fresh towels. The bed was okay, but outside noise came easily through the old windows. We were kept awake by the beeping sound of the walk/don't walk signal and traffic. The location is a +. We paid in full through Expedia, and the hotel charged my card for the stay as well. I am still trying to get that resolved. I would not recommend this hotel under current circumstances.

We decided to add a night to an already planned trip and decided to stay at the Gould. We like unique hotels, so this fit the bill. Our stay was nice, but not special enough to bring us back for a second stay. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed, so we needed to eat elsewhere in town. (Found a great restaurant a few doors down.) The first lady that checked us in was friendly and welcoming and even suggested restaurants. The lady at the desk when we left didn't even acknowledge us picking up the luggage cart or dropping of the key on the way out. The room was clean. The decor was cute. But not as fancy as the pictures show. The elevator walls were lined with dirty material that seemed odd. It gave me the overall impression of someone wanting to make something great, but either didn't have what it takes to make that way, or someone else took over without the same vision. If your looking for a nice place to stay in town, it foots the bill. Just don't expect the glamor they are trying to portray.

What a wonderful hotel. Clean, walkable to downtown Seneca Falls, and safe. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. The elevator is a little small and fit three people with one suitcase each.

The Gould was advertised as having a restaurant and bar but neither were n operation when we arrived. We should have been notified of the change prior to our arrival to allow for alternate arrangements if we chose. The breakfast was barely cereal and a bowl of fruit with packaged cereal bars and oatmeal. Not very appetizing.

The room we booked was actually not available so they gave us a smaller bed with no reduction in price. There was no on-site Resturant or bar as new owners had not yet got licensing, so the description of the property is inaccurate. Lots of street and people noise. Room itself was fine but I would not stay again.

Disappointed, this would be our fourth stay at this hotel. We loved it and looked forward to staying every time. Since our last stay the hotel was sold and it shows. No restaurant or bar open, and that was not stated when booking my stay. So basically paid for a room that was beyond HOT, could not get the “portable air conditioner” that was not correctly installed to work for the life of me. The toilet would not flush properly. Reported it gentleman that came and flipped the handle for a few minutes said he would call someone to fix it, no one did. So between that, the heat, the rundown looking hotel that once was so well taken care of and beautiful and the no hotel restaurant or bar, we left a day early from our three day stay. I could have booked a luxury hotel with what was paid. Sad to say … we won’t be back,

My room's bathroom was with mold on the tiles, the room never fixed by room service until 6pm after that i put "dont disturb" on the door. The breakfast was very poor and at 9 am most of the items was finished and never replaced.

I wanted to like this place however for the price, there were just so many little things that should be done to make this a nicer place. The ceiling of our room had a lot of cobwebs, the windowsill in the room was covered in dust, windows to the entire property need to be cleaned, the stairwell carpet had not been cleaned in quite a while, I don’t think our room was swept out, the shower “amenities” were tiny and branded by Best Western, the breakfast was everything from Aldi, the restaurant and bar are non-operational, no fridge even though our friends’ room did have one at the same price point…these all seem trivial, but at $275 a night, it’s just a ripoff. Will book a hotel in Geneva or at the casino next time we are in the area.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Dated, barely maintained rooms and facilities. Mattress was in poor shape, and caved in. No maid service, even when we explicitly requested it for just one of our three days and were told our room would be cleaned. Room was not even supplied with adequate toilet paper. Fitness room was not clean, with no wipes and other trash not addressed. There is seemingly only one full-time employee who is responsible for the entire operation, and who we were told worked all weekend with almost no help. Moreover, despite calling several times ahead of our stay regarding the status of the hotel restaurant and bar, and being told the bad would be open during our stay, both were still closed. Totally deceptive operation and complete lack of transparency. Really awful.

The hotel has been nicely redecorated (not my type of style but clean and refreshing) but because it is an old building I believe sound blocking insulation is lacking. My room was noisy from the street and the room above me. Parking was out back which was inconvenient for unpacking on arrival and when leaving. The room amentities were decent but it was lacking a refrigerator which has become an expected amentity for me.

The Gould is a great Boutique hotel in the center of Seneca Falls with plenty of free parking and easy access to walk around to many sites. The only thing that was a negative was the mattress was pretty bad and it was very tough sleeping because of that.

This hotel is right across the street from the Women's Rights National Historical Park, on the main shopping and dining street of Seneca Falls. The hotel is very clean and well maintained but it is old. Our room was small. It felt like a historical property. No dressers except for 2 drawers hidden in the closet. Breakfast was included but unimpressive. Very low budget operation. Instant oatmeal. Cream cheese was a brick that everyone shared with a common knife. One guest was blowing his nose nearby. This is unacceptable. No orange juice. Milk poured from a common pitcher, very slowly. One person at the front desk who seemed to be doing double duty in the dining room and kitchen, leaving the front desk unattended periodically. They ran out of cups and it took awhile to replace them. The bed was very good. The bathroom was very clean but no counter space to put your toiletries on. There is a pizza restaurant next door and others nearby. Overall, I would have moved on to our next destination that night if I were to plan this trip again.

Hotel itself and room were clean. Our room was very small especially for a king room, but we were fine with it overall. Second night of our two night stay we had neighbors next door and we could hear every word they said, could hear them pulling the chain to adjust their blinds, and even the hangers being pushed around in their closet. They were not loud; the walls were just REALLY thin.

The room was very nice. It has a very modern design for a historic hotel. We were on the first floor on the street side and it was very noisy from street noise. The hotel should consider some form of sound proofing. Otherwise, a very nice place.

New owners are trying to make it nice but it needs lots of work. Restaurant/bar was closed due to no liquor license yet. Our room was ok. Happy there was no carpet. There was also no mini fridge or microwave. Found someone’s make up brush under the open sink. There was no hand soap in the room, only 2 little mismatched bottles, 1 conditioner, 1 shampoo. The air conditioner was covered in black mold but was high up on wall so we couldn’t reach it to clean it. Bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. Not enough amenities for that price point.

The staff were very friendly. The hotel restaurant was delicious and the chef prepared everything just right! I would eat here again, but it is rather pricey compared to other restaurants in the area. The room was nice, clean, but our air conditioner did not work, we actually went out and purchased a fan to cool our room because the air conditioner would not come on. They only give you 1 towel per person, which is okay but they both had brown stains in them, the people at the front desk of course gave us clean ones and offered to come get the dirty towels, but you would think the cleaning staff wouldn’t have allow them to be placed in the room. Otherwise, it was a great location and I have recommended the hotel to others already.

They only give you 1 towel per person, which is okay but they both had brown stains in them, the people at the front desk of course gave us clean ones and offered to come get the dirty towels, but you would think the cleaning staff wouldn’t have allow them to be placed in the room. Otherwise, it was a great location and I have recommended the hotel to others already.

Terrie at the front desk was by herself due to a staff shake up. She was mostly by herself, was honest about what was going on, was sweet and gracious. The hotel and our room was beautiful and perfectly situation to walk around and see the sights.

Beautiful renovation of a historic building with lots of potential. The room was clean and lovely, the bathroom still looked brand new, but this place is woefully understaffed by people who are doing their best but can’t be everywhere they’re needed. It took a while to find someone to check in and out. The restaurant that’s advertised as being on-site must have closed, there was no evidence of one. We had one bath towel for three people. When we requested more, it took a while to get them because it seemed there was only once person working in the whole building. Not sure what would have happened in any emergency. I’d say give this place a chance, but be prepared going in.

Anthony greeted us with enthusiasm and could not have been more accommodating! He had plenty of recommendations and followed up with us the next morning at breakfast. He made the experience exceptional. The room was clean and comfortable, and it provided us a good night’s sleep. We feel like we got a good value and would definitely go back.

Hotel noted 24/7 front desk and check in until midnight. Several parties arrived from a local event beginning around 11:40pm to find a locked front door and no employees on site, even after contacting local police to gain entry to the building. Had to drive another 2 hours to find a hotel with availability.

Nicely updated room, comfortable bed and a nice clean updated bathroom, large tv. There is a very small amount of traffic noise but the garbage removal in the parking lot at 5am was an eye opener. No noise from adjoining rooms on top floor and hallway was very quiet. This hotel is convenient, well located an very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

The Gould is a really cute upgraded boutique hotel in the middle of downtown Seneca Falls. We enjoyed it a lot but it seemed that the restaurant and bar should be open for 300 a night. We would definitely return if they were. Also kudos for being so pet friendly, definitely a good spot for dog owners.

The hotel is old but very clean, efficient, and welcoming. The queen bed room wasn't available so we were upgraded to a suite at no extra charge. The only shortcoming was the breakfast. All available was cold cereal and coffee.

This hotel is right across the street from the Women's Rights National Historical Park, on the main shopping and dining street of Seneca Falls. The hotel is very clean and well maintained but it is old. Our room was small. It felt like a historical property. No dressers except for 2 drawers hidden in the closet. Breakfast was included but unimpressive. Very low budget operation. Instant oatmeal. Cream cheese was a brick that everyone shared with a common knife. One guest was blowing his nose nearby. This is unacceptable. No orange juice. Milk poured from a common pitcher, very slowly. One person at the front desk who seemed to be doing double duty in the dining room and kitchen, leaving the front desk unattended periodically. They ran out of cups and it took awhile to replace them. The bed was very good. The bathroom was very clean but no counter space to put your toiletries on. There is a pizza restaurant next door and others nearby. Overall, I would have moved on to our next destination that night if I were to plan this trip again.

The Gould was advertised as having a restaurant and bar but neither were n operation when we arrived. We should have been notified of the change prior to our arrival to allow for alternate arrangements if we chose. The breakfast was barely cereal and a bowl of fruit with packaged cereal bars and oatmeal. Not very appetizing.

The location was good, easy to park etc. And the hotel and rooms were nice. Even the fitness room looked good. But the breakfast was terrible. Coffee urn was mostly empty, the toaster was broken, and bagels and cold cereal the only options. Not even sure it qualified as breakfast.

The hotel was beautiful, and the staff was very nice. It was very convenient to be located so near on the main street in Seneca Falls. All of the tourist attractions were walking distance from the hotel. It would be nice if there would be a bit of an upgrade to the rooms for example a small fridge. Otherwise we really loved our stay and would consider going back to The Gould.

This is a historic hotel in an historic town. Perfect fit. Wonderful room and wonderful hosts. I see all the reviews are either 10 or 2. If you're expecting a modern Hilton, you will be disappointed. But, if you want a real experience, stay here! Everything is walkable from here, Women's Rights location is next door, It's a Wonderful Life Museum just around the corner. Lots of good food nearby.
