Great location, terrific staff, clean room. Parking lot a bit tight

The only thing about this place is the parking. The spots are narrow. Make sure you reserve in for easier exit. Other than that it was great. Staff was friendly.

They let us check in early to make our music festival! Parking was free and right outside our room. Our room was clean and kept very cool with our room air conditioner. The Inn was about a 9 minute walk to the Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena and very manageable after an 11 hour festival. The area felt very safe and was well lit. I was a bit concerned about the traffic noise after reading the reviews but the air conditioning unit made for excellent white noise that I fell asleep easily. The rooms were non-smoking and my sensitive nose picked up zero trace of smoke. The staff was really friendly! The coffee keurig in the lobby was a nice touch! I would definitely stay here again!

Parking felt safe but it was a bit cramped and challenging getting out when the parking lot is full. Luckily it centrally located so we did not need to drive a lot.

The Blackjack Inn is affordable, clean, comfortable and well run. The staff is always friendly and maintains the site well. The parking spaces are a bit tight but there's always parking for all guest. The staff checks the parking lot periodically to make sure that only guests are parked there. When I'm in South Lake Tahoe, The Blackjack Inn is my 1st choice...and this for 4 years now! :)

I was very pleased. My entire purpose in coming to South Lake Tahoe is to snowboard. Blackjack Inn was great in letting me park there(free) before my check-in time. Go snowboard and then check in later. Also, after my stay ended, they let me park there (for free) and go snowboard the entire day. The location of the blackjack inn is great. The heavenly gondola is right across the street. Easy walking distance. Plus there are many restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. Also, the water for the shower is hot and lasts a long time. I will use this hotel in the future

This hotel is in a good area in relation to the main shops and Stateline. The door for the restroom was a little awkward, farm style door, and didn't close all the way. But my wife and I managed. The only thing that was strange was the parking lot. There is only 1 way in, and to exit, you have to make a 3 point turn at the end of the lot. It was weird.

Excellent upgraded rooms. Very clean. Location is very near the south Lake Tahoe Casinos. Excellent prices. Parking is a little cramped but manageable.

Everything is perfect but there was one issue. Getting out from the parking lot into street My car bottom always scraped

Location is excellent and the driving factor to our stay. The front desk gal was exceptional, gave recommendations on what to do as well. Cleanliness seems to be an issue however. The bathroom needed some help. The shower collected about 2 inches of water, therefore the drain needs attention. Also the exhaust fan had approximately 2-3 years worth of dust caked to it. Otherwise, bed and pillows were comfortable.

It was a ski trip for us so the location was excellent since the resort was within a walkable distance from the inn. The management team was very friendly and helpful. Also, they let us park there in the morning before we checked in and the afternoon after we checked out which was really great. The room has a fridge and microwave oven which was convenient for us. It also included free coffee at the front desk area in the morning. All in all, it met all our needs for the purpose of trip and i would have rated a 5 star if not because of the cockroach running around on the headboard and the wall at night.

Super clean and easy process to check in. The rooms were well kept and organized. As well as super clean! Smelt like a fresh room when walking inside and beds were comfy. If you’re looking for a quick easy location and comfortable sleeping, this is the place.

This was our second visit and won’t be our last! Great location, great price and the owner is just so nice! Place is clean and had everything we needed (microwave and fridge) we even had a great view of the mountain.

Clean rooms, carpet appears to be relatively new. Small rooms but perfect for an overnight pass through. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. Check in just was friendly and efficient.

Unfortunately it was pretty clear that the bath area wasn't cleaned with hair on the wall and floor, and it wasn't a small amount either.

The couple at the front desk are kind, location is great- easy walk to Heavenly Village and gondola, and for the room price it exceeds expectations. Not a quiet location and the walls are thin so if noise is an issue I wouldn’t recommend it.

Clean, modern finish to room, comfortable bed. No coffee/tea facilities in room although offered from reception in morning. Smaller room but fine for our one night stay. Good location for town.

Little old hotel half a block off the main drag and right across the street from the shops at heavenly. Has been all redone and even though the rooms are small, they are spotless. The manager, who I think is maybe the owner? Allowed me to check in early when I got there much sooner than I thought I would. I really enjoyed my stay and I would be happy to stay there again when I return to Southlake Tahoe.

Room and bathrooms were very clean. Comes with small fridge and microwave. Bed is very comfortable. Only issue i had was the A/C was blowing towards me as I tried to sleep. Although i love a cold room, i was almost frozen LOL. So we ended up sleeping without the A/C on which wasnt too bad.

It looks like it was remodeled recently and is close to everything so it is convenient location wise. It is a very small room with two beds. The beds are very uncomfortable. My husband and I ended up with back and hip pain which we have never experienced with any bed before. I wouldn't stay here again.

Conveniently centrally located in South Lake Tahoe near all the shops and casinos. There’s no markets nearby except for a mini mart. Would be nice to have some hot cups to make tea or coffee in the room. The heater is old. Bc of the winter storm, the heater turns on more frequently to keep the temp up. But it makes a very loud noice rattling inside making it hard to sleep. The walls are thin so we can hear foot steps from upstairs and next door neighbors. Clean room, decent bed, good wifi, very small room.

The only good thing about this property is its location to the Gondola. Several issues with property listed below: - states coffee is available in lobby at 7:30a. On the first morning I showed up at 7:45a and no one was there, locked and even rang the bell nothing. - housekeeping never came the first day and when I brought it up to front desk they tried to blame me for having a do not disturb sign - which I didn’t. When housekeeping came the next day, they only replenished towels, nothing else. Not even making the bed. - sink was cheap, no water pressure and took forever to change from hot to cold, as well as a struggle to turn fully off. Brought up to front desk and said she’d send someone but nothing was ever fixed. - asked to speak to management and front desk told me they were on vacation and there was no one to talk to with any authority on property. That is concerning. - on our last morning we went out for breakfast before check out and when we came back the door was completely wide open. I’m assuming housekeeping came when we were gone thinking we left already but all of our stuff was still in there. Overall I gave the property the opportunity to correct all of the above and wasn’t met with a single apology or way to right the wrongs. I will never stay at this property again - there are a bunch of hotels walking distance to gondola and I’ll be staying there next time.

Great little hotel, Paul and his wife the owners are always onsite, and it shows in how they take care of their guests they are long time locals and can give guidance for dining and activities. For skiers the location cannot be beat, the longest part 3 min of the walk to the gondola is waiting for the light to change. Rooms are great good beds ... an comfortable.. and you can walk anywhere in south lake tahoe in a minutes... as for value .. it can't be beat..

We spent one night at the Blackjack Inn and everything was great! The room and bathroom were very clean. Free parking as listed. . The location was very convenient, walking distance to dining, shopping and other attractions. The front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating, allowing us to leave the car in the parking lot for few hours after checking out to explore the town for a little bit more. We are very happy we booked this place.

My wife and needed a quick getaway without spending big dollars, there is no parking fees like most of the bigger hotels, our rooms was very clean and quiet. The owner Paul was so accommodating to us he is very informative about things to do in the area. The Black Jack hotel is so close to everything casinos, restaurants, shopping. Paul’s wife took care of us at check out time very kind great people. We most definitely would come stay here again Thank you both so much

The hotel is in a perfect location. You are in the middle of town close to restaurants and shopping .Nevada beach is less than 10 min drive . Lakeside beach is within walking distance . If you plan on going up on the gandala its right across the street

Check in is fast and easy, staff is friendly. Parking is a little tight for large vehicles. Great location, close to restaurants, Starbucks, and the lake. Premium King bed a little small and no in room coffee machine. Coffee available in lobby in the am.

Clean basic room with comfortable bed at reasonable price. Coffee at office in am. Room has frig, which helps. I would suggest asking for 2nd floor unit asbu dont hear noises. Comfortable space to stay with caring iwner.

Excellent location. Property is in good shape, very clean room. Only 2 things were disappointing, the heater is extremely noisy and made it difficult to sleep well. I would have also liked one of those old fashioned coffee machines in the room. I tend to wake up early so waiting for the office to open to have access to the (by the way excellent) coffee machine there, was not ideal. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

Smooth check in and check out. Nice varieties of tea, hot cocoa and coffee at reception in the morning. Friendly staff. Gave free upgrade to large room. Sheets and towels not very clean, children were grossed out to sleep on them or take shower. Found large blob of dark hair on my white towel as I was trying to dry myself after the shower. Shower head was clean and modern.

Stayed 3 nights. Was clean, quiet, and in good condition. Excellent shower temp/pressure. I wish they provided coffee makers in the rooms, or made it available earlier than 7:30a in the lobby, but I knew they didn't when I booked. Very convenient to stores/restaurants, many within walking distance (including a convenience store next door that sells coffee at 6am). Would definitely stay there again.
