Gym was very ran down and not clean. Room was excellent

Great location, convenient to beach, restaurants, stores. Room was very very comfortable and quiet. A little noise from rude people talking loudly in the hallway early in the morning.The pool water was chilly! My suggestion would be to make outside patio a little more inviting. Needs umbrellas for shade, potted plants, hedge or fencing to make it a little more private. The service was excellent and every employee we encountered was wonderful. Decent breakfast.

Our room smelled of a pet....I am sure they tried to clean but it smelled. Pool was great!!!

I always stay here when I need a hotel in Wells. The staff is super friendly and helpful, everything is always clean, breakfast is great and parking can't be any easier or convenient! There's a shopping center within walking distance and lots of places to eat as well.

The staff and hotel/room were very nice. The pool was fairly small and always full of kids (unavoidable probably). Our view out the back was of some misc parts and things near the garage.

My reservation did not show up but the hotel gave me a room since I had proof of payment and reservation from hotels.com. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and the free breakfast was good and convenient. Pool was heated and accessible 8am-10pm so a lot of the day. Plan to stay again.

New property close to the beach and with bikes. Close to Kennebunk where we did a whale watch. Would stay again.

We found human feces on our floor as well as leftover seafood in the microwave. This hotel was not willing to refund the night stay which sadly left me no choice but to air their dirty laundry.

Room wasn't very clean, bugs, broken and dirty appliances

My initial impression when I arrived was very pleased. The lobby, the service, the room all were amazing! I went to pull down my comforter to get ready for bed and noticed hairs on top of the comforter, when I pulled the sheets down there was hair all through the linens. I called down to the front desk and the lady was amazing and offered a different room which I declined. It was after midnight and I didn’t want to pack up and move besides the room was otherwise beautiful so I just requested different linens. When the front desk staff promptly brought my linens she asked if I’d like her to make up the bed and again I declined. I said no ty I can do it. Very friendly but as I was unfolding the linens to make the bed I found several more hair imbedded into the fresh linens. There was hair imbedded into the towels and washcloths along with hair under the sink and on the floor. The included breakfast was more than enough and very appetizing and a huge selection. When I went to check out I ended up locking myself out of my room because they shut my key card down forty minutes before checkout, I had to walk and find housekeeping to let me back in. Why would they shut the keycard down more than 40 mins before checkout time is wild! I went to get a luggage cart to load up my things and being they only had two in the entire three story hotel is also wild especially when they lock you out forty mins prior to checkout. I had to make multiple trips to get my things in my car.

Prompt and professional courtesy as soon as walked into the hotel. This place was extremely clean and they cleaned our room every day of our stay. My sister enjoyed the pool and breakfast every morning. It was a very convenient location for shopping, food and the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

After pulling the comforter back I found hair and what looked like bugs on the bed. I called the front desk and Kayla immediately switched my room. All seemed ok, but the shower had rust all on the floor. Definitely needs work with cleanliness.

The hotel is run down and poorly maintained. I would not recommend this hotel. The smell was so bad in the room, I needed to put car air fresheners in the ac vents.

you pay for what you get. felt safe, liked the breakfast option, was able to get early check in so like that they were accommodating even on a busy weekend. not the cleanest- hair in the bathroom, centipede in the bathroom, Two old tissues left on the windowsill upon our check in. the mattresses had stain on them but slept on top of the sheet, that was gross. easy check in/check out. Good location.

The Holiday Inn Express in Wells was good. We were just doing a quick overnight. Stayed in a 2 Queen suite. Pretty spacious. Could hear banging from doors and upstairs. Not awful but you could hear it. Beds were good, water pressure no.

We were basically very happy with our stay. One improvement might be to see why the water pressure for the bathroom sink (only the sink) is so low in room 301. Otherwise nice stay. Keep up the good work.

For a quick overnight stay in the Wells area, this hotel worked for our needs- the beds were ok, basic but clean. The bathroom water pressure wasn’t super strong but again, basic and got the beach sand off. If you’re looking for a clean spot to rest in between beach adventures, this hotel works perfectly

Overall it was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning unit was extremely loud and disrupted our sleep. You can also hear every step the guests take on the floor above your floor.

Very clean, great location, comfortable bed and there was a keurig. Cons, I could hear the next rooms tv and the people talking on the other side.

This was our first stay at a Holiday Inn Express and we were quite pleased from the moment we walked. Our King bed room was spacious even with a chaise lounge, desk, dresser, closet and a long area where you can open your luggage. There was a separate foyer with a nook for the coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast was above expectations and the woman is charge was diligent and friendly, as were all employees.

My family and I were there for the very sad occasion of a memorial service for my 21 year old son who died suddenly. Everyone was so kind. We were allowed to use the conference room to get together for dinner. We were given water bottles. Thank you for your kindness which made this very difficult occasion a little bit easier.

The hotel and the staff that we met during our stay were excellent. The check in process was smooth, and the rooms were very clean. Breakfast was also very good. However, when traveling to the hotel, I called to get information on room rates and I was given some very inaccurate information about pricing and availability. I called because I was driving and looking online was not really possible. When I stopped for dinner I went online and got the rate that the person on the phone told me unavailable. Please do not mislead customers.

Property was very clean, staff very friendly. The location was convenient and the bed was very comfortable. When we return to visit family, we will definitely stay here again.

The Holiday Inn Express exceeded my expectations. The hotel was clean, well maintained, the staff was helpful and friendly, and we will definitely stay there again. Additionally, the location was great - shopping and restaurants nearby. The Footbridge Beach was also only 10 minutes away.

Review of Holiday Inn in Wells, Maine Let’s start with the good stuff: Juan and the entire staff were super polite, and the place was spotless—probably the cleanest Holiday Inn I've ever stayed in. The room was in great shape and very comfortable, so no complaints there. Now, the shady part—their cancellation policy wasn’t disclosed before I booked. It showed up only after I received my confirmation. I canceled my reservation for May 12 at the start of the week, and I thought that was the end of it. But then, on May 15, I get hit with a charge. Turns out, they waited two days after I canceled to charge me, which feels a little sketchy—like waiting until after the deadline to hit you with a bill. Why the delay? As a platinum member who's done business with them for years, I expected better treatment. Charging me days after I canceled, especially when the stay was supposed to be on May 12, just doesn’t sit right. Long story short: great service, but I won’t be staying here again. This isn’t the Holiday Inn I knew—it's more like a shady motel. Sorry, not sorry.

The staff was outstanding!

The night agent was Fantastic. A lot of us heard him quietly deal with a disgruntled guest for 20 - 30 mins with total professionalism. He gets respect because that guest was a the verge of abuse.

Nothing can beat the location of this hotel. Wonderful beaches are max 30mins drive (min literally 2 mins), restaurants are all very near by with their exceptionaly wonderful delicious foods. We did really enjoy our staying with this hotel. Oh about the hotel's breakfast options...would like to rate them 5/5. They are really that good :)

This a great location to stop on our roadtrip up the coast of Maine. It's a quiet location sandwiched between the two super cute towns of Kennebunkport and Ogunquit. Not very walkable but <5 minute drive to the waterfront and 10 minute drive to those 2 towns. And if you are bringing family, there are a couple great-looking mini golf courses along highway 1, <5 minutes drive. The property has a pool and included breakfast.

Close to both Kennebunk & Ogonquit. Centrally located. Very clean, hotel is basically brand new. Friendly staff. Breakfast was great for a quick bite before heading out. Only complaint would be the paper thin walls. Could hear the conversations from the next room loud and clear at 7am.

Front desk staff friendly and accommodating. Suite was roomy and very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended and will definitely be back. Breakfast buffet had many offerings including French toast. They also had a pancake machine.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Didn’t like we had the same breakfast the three mornings we were there. The third night we had neighbors that were very loud all night long. The kids in that room jumped and banged around all night long. The first two nights were quiet and pleasant.
