Wells-Ogunquit Resort Motel & Cottages

This property is meticulously maintained The pool was a great option to have on a very hot day. The rooms are modest but very clean and have all the amenities to store food, heat things up and make coffee. I've machine very convenient and ample outdoor spaces to enjoy sitting and relaxing. Bonus of a nice continental breakfast with several options of pastries, breads, fruit, oatmeal and yogurt. I would highly recommend for a very reasonable rate!

Loved the playground. Plenty of parking. Comfortable beds. Checking in was a breeze.

The ice machine is outside , thats not a problem, but its in back of the office and there is no lighting what so ever. You can hardly see the machine let alone find where to fill your bucket.And finding the motel in the day is no problem. But at night its very hard to find the motel,there is no lighting , the only way I remembered was the restaurant across the street was lit up, there is 2 small white picket fences on each side of driveway, as a marker.Other wise it was clean, safe and friendly.Would recommend.

Everything was delightful. The room itself was cozy and clean, with a fridge where we could keep leftovers from our treks into town. The pool was beautiful. The staff were helpful, kind, and informative.

It was central to all we wanted to do. The continental breakfast was very good with homemade muffins. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean as were the surrounding areas. It had a pool, grills, picnic tables, and a playground for the kids. For the moderate price it was very good. Would stay there again.

One night stay, walking distance to restaurants, shops and a mini golf. The bed was comfortable, room was clean and updated. The room was quieter than expected as we were right on the road and they have a nice central area where families could gather. There was a large group out there with a good number of kids and we couldn’t hear a sound. Great place if you don’t want to always have to go to a restaurant, they have grills outside and supply all you need for utensils, plates, ect. Would stay there again.

staff was very pleasant and accommodating. room was very clean and comfortable. salt water pool was excellent. I would book again.

pool and breakfast was great for grandkids! room was easy in and out for Grandma! staying again with granddaughters Aug 13th to 15! would like same room or any room before Rm 15.. as you get towards the play yard mosquitoes were intense.. thank you will call to ck on rm availability Jeanne Bartholomew

I really liked the staff and the cleanliness of the property. Loved having a free breakfast and plenty of parking. It is close to the beach and away from the traffic in Ogunquit. Heated pool, picnic tables and grills. Supermarket in Wells just north of the resort motel. Great value and convenient location.

We cannot say enough about Well-Ogunquit Resort Motel. We stayed for 3 nights, after Labor Day, 2025. This is a one-story motel. Every single person working at this property was friendly and helpful. We stayed in room #23. Even though the motel sits on Route 1 (which is very busy), it is set back from the road a bit, and the rooms at the end were exceptionally quiet, not only from road noise, but we never heard a toilet flush, running water, door slam, or conversation through those dreaded thin-walls, that many motels have. The room was very clean, and ours had: a coffeemaker/mugs/coffee, toaster, refrigerator, microwave, TV, bistro table with 2 chairs, queen and double bed, desk/work area, dresser with drawers, closet to hang clothes, basic toiletries. LOVED the eco-friendly shampoo, conditioner and soap. The exterior grounds were very well kept, with an in-the ground pool (still open, and spotlessly clean) with about 35 chairs around the pool, There were numerous picnic tables (most with umbrellas) situated around the property, and half a dozen grills. The grill area also had a smoker, and a 2-burner propane grill made specifically for boiling large pots of water (corn, lobster, etc). Everything you need is there, including pots, condiments, utensils. The room rate includes a continental breakfast: cold cereal, instant oatmeal, yogurt, tea, coffee, apple juice, orange juice, fresh fruit (apples, oranges), and various baked goods. HIGHLY recommend this motel!!

The rooms are spotless and the property is well maintained. The breakfast is great. Great location with many choices close by. Will stay there again

Generally run-down and dirty.

One of the cleanest, updated, vacation town motels we’ve ever stayed at. All staff we had contact with were very welcoming & helpful. Our room was spotless as was the pool & all public areas. The mattresses were comfortable. The continental breakfast was standard fare with muffins, toaster items, yogurt etc. The outdoor grills were a plus, especially for guests on a budget. The motel supplied plates, silverware and all supplies needed for grilling including condiments such as ketchup, mustard etc. We also saw people using the grills to cook up eggs in the morning. The chairs in front of the units are not private but we had pleasant neighbors on both sides & enjoyed meeting new people while sitting outside. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thanks again for your hospitality.

Lovely hotel. Very clean. Breakfast was very nice sitting outside. There was nothing I didnt like. Of note, the desk person was kind and helped me in getting my computer signal.

Hairs on towels

A little stingy with toilet paper and soap. Room was comfortable but WiFi didn’t work consistently. Adequate motel but probably would not stay again.

The property was average. Nothing special. The door was not very safe, only 1 lock.

Very convenient to many beaches, room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast muffins were fresh baked, protein offerings were missing. Shower water pressure was very low.

Wish they had a few more options for breakfast. The items same every day just different flavors Only real issue was heat/ac unit very noisy like you were in a wind tunnel

The stay was wonderful! Staff was so friendly and accommodating, the room was very clean as well as the grounds themselves…the ONLY negative thing I must share is about the door locks. They are the very old style that you can unlock with a credit card (we know because we did it) Management should really get all the locks changed out to give guests peace of mind about feeling safe.

Close to lots of restaurants. The A/C in our room was loud. Delicious fresh baked muffins in the morning!

WiFi not strong enough for zoom

Breakfast selection is fair but not great. There is no eating area!, if you don’t eat outside on a picnic bench, you take your food back to your room. Room is quite small. The bathroom sink is in the “kitchen?” area, although a mini-microwave and a toaster, hardily qualifies as a kitchen, and there was almost no water pressure. Room needs more lighting. At least the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. They have several gas grills if you want to grill something that you can eat outside.

The rooms were clean but very dated. Some of the staff do not speak English so that was frustrating. They do have a breakfast of sorts but no dining area so you need to trek to the office, put your breakfast on a tray and trek back to your room.

This was a great place for us to stay on our way back down the Maine coast. It is not far from some beautiful spots. It served it's purpose, but the rooms could use some updates. The lock on the door was only a push button lock on the doorknob which I've never seen before in a hotel room. It was fine as it appeared to be a very safe area, but I would've preferred something more secure.

The motel stay was terrible because the second night I was woken up by a MOUSE falling on my head. I pushed it off it fell onto my bed. I grabbed the ice bucket and scooped the stunned mouse into it quickly put on the cover. It was after 11PM the office was closed I put the bucket on the gas grill outside the office. We packed up and drove home in the middle of the night. Called the office as soon as it opened the next morning. I explained what happened was told the owner would reach out. Surprised no one did. I do NOT recommend this motel!

Great little stopover in this seaside village. Room was neat as a pin and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of dining and shopping options within walking distance or a short drive. Hope to make it back soon.

The office ataff was very nice and very helpful. Housekerping staff was very quick to respond to requests.

Everything in our unit was spotless. The staff was helpful and friendly. Hard workers for sure. It was very quiet we had guests on both sides and never heard a peep from anyone. Breakfast was simple and convenient. The coffee was better than you know whose!! The rates were great and we will definitely go again.

We had a great little stay at the Wells-Ogunquit Resort Motel & Cottages. Our room was perfect with plenty of space for our family of four. Well updated and the air conditioner was working great. Breakfast muffins were fresh baked daily - as others have noted, there were no egg or meat options. Very family friendly, with lots of options to keep our toddlers busy. The pool was the perfect temp and salt water which was a plus for us. Everything is within a short drive (beaches, dining, entertainment), not very walkable.

Very cute and quaint motel! The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The water temperature of the outdoor pool was amazing. Small but sufficient Continental breakfast served. Really convenient area, located on route 1. Close to footbridge and ogunquit beach. I would definitely go back!

Took my Mom to see a play at the Ogunquit Playhouse and this was close for our one night stay. Clean & comfortable - will definitely stay here again.

Very affordable stay. Only area I could see that might use improvement is with breakfast. Just cereals, pastries etc. Would be nice to have eggs and some breakfast meats as an option. First time to the area and would definitely recommend overall.

A very nice clean quiet place. Pleasant staff. The continental breakfast was fine. No seating inside so you have to bring your breakfast to your room. Small selection but very well done.

Hotel was very convenient for our stay and was clean. The provided breakfast was somewhat lacking with just breads and fruit. Need to add something with protein!

The breakfast had homemade muffins and strudel, but had no type of eggs, meat, waffles, nothing like that.

Easy check in, pleasant staff, Clean and comfortable room, very nice complimentary breakfast. Homemade corn and blueberry muffins and baked beans! Coffee-meh… Would definitely recommend!
