Wingate by Wyndham New Braunfels

Stayed here for 2 nights over New Year's to see a show in town and absolutely will stay here again when back in New Bruenfels overnight!! Checking in and out was a breeze (can be done online). The staff here are very friendly and helpful! Breakfast was very good. The pool was nice and the huge hot tub was even better!!

I really liked that they had a floor fan in the room. We sleep with a fan in at home for the white noise and I was so appreciative to have the fan to run at night for the white noise for sleep! M granddaughter loves the indoor pool and hot tub.

Overall the stay was great. Staff was professional and friendly, room and interior of the hotel were very clean. The only complaint was the limited parking due to debris from what appeared to be renovations.

Staff was very friendly and had big complaints but the speed bumps in the parking lot are way to high and scrapped the bottom on my car multiple times. I understand the need for speed bumps but they do not need to be that high.

Nice rooms and clean lobby. Basic hotel breakfast. The speed bumps out front are awfullll. The parking lot is a little old but not a big deal.

I picked this hotel for its location and the hot tub. It had very easy access to downtown New Braunfels and the Greene historic area. The hot tub is large. It was out the last day. Pool is nice. Hotel room was standard and had nice bathroom products.

Had great services. Was under renovation.

Average rating, for this hotel. On day 3, I asked for supples. Had to ask again at front desk for supplies. Then it took to the evening to get the bathroom supplies & Kleenex. One computer, to use in office area, password would not work, clerk had to keep fixing it. Didn’t get my work done. Front desk clerks, were not as efficient or experienced as I would have expected. Room service every 3 days. Average review, for this hotel.

We had a great stay. The breakfast was great and we especially loved the pool because it was heated. We were sad the hot tub wasn’t working at this time. We will definitely stay here again.

The sheets on the bed in our room were dirty. We were moved to another room. The bathroom tile is chipped and missing grout. The rooms have vinyl flooring and when we went to bed we realized that we had been walking in the room in bare feet and our feet were filthy. I don’t think the floors were ever washed. Needless to say, we’re disgusted. I honestly have never stayed in a dirtier hotel.

The hotel and room was up to date in appearance, however, our room was unclean. There was hair in one of the beds, and red specks on the bathroom wall that I quickly cleaned up. I moved an ottoman and an old lipstick rolled out from under it. The staff was pleasant during check in and contactless checkout was convenient. The complimentary breakfast was scarce due to maximum capacity guests, but poor staffing. No coffee, not enough food put out, and the dining area was unkept. The staff in the dining room consisted of 1, and she apologized for the poor conditions. I did not complain at all, and the management needs to properly staff for busy weekends, and have some quality control on room cleanliness. Again, the staff was very nice.

Property well maintained and clean. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Area was very quiet and close to everything.

Staff was nice, but the hotel was dated and dated. Stains on the bedding and towels. It was dusty, bathroom dirty, fan in room was full of dust, dated and ripped window shade. The additional side entrance was dirty full of dead bugs everywhere.

Did not appreciate being texted at 3:30 AM the morning before my reservation or even at 8AM our last morning. Did the online check in only to have to repeat everything at the front desk. Place was dated with dirty carpets in the hall. Room was clean and for the price it was what you would expect.

This hotel was horrible. Lets start from the outside appearance/landscape. The entire landscape was completely unkept to the worst. The breakfast was terrible. Only ate breakfast 1 morning and I was there for 4 mornings. The walls throughout the hotel were dirty as well as the elevators doors. Just filthy. The hotel room was very outdated. The walls in the hotel room, walls need to be patched and painted. The bathroom walls were filthy and by saying that, it showed the funk from previous hotel occupants. The bathtub had mildew and smelled mildewy as well. The floors hadn't been swept. The soap dispensers in the tub area were so dirty. Towels were very thin. This hotel needs new hotel towels. The air condition did not work properly and that is why the hotel had to put a stand alone fan in my room to assist the air condition to do its ob. It did not work. It was humid the entire stay. Fridge did not cool properly. I thought that since this was a Wyndham hotel, it would be very nice because I have stayed at Wyndham hotels before and this location Wingate of Wyndham was so opposite of what I had expected. I will never stay at this location or any other Wyndham again and I will not recommend either.

Clean room, new furniture. Just a moldy smell.

Cleanliness not a practice at this location. Bathrooms in lobby filthy, landscaping horrible. Bedspread and duvet filthy.

Sticky floors, cockroach, stuffy rooms, thin walls and an echo chamber from lower lobby level were not great. Our refrigerator also quit working and we had to throw out a few things. The bedding was clean, the towels were clean but the rest was iffy for the rating we based our booking off of.

They left food, Chinese food in the room that was not ours

It was ok, the positives were it was clean and in decent condition. It’s is very dated and would definitely benefit from updating. The wi-fi didn’t work. Bed was ok, but could be better.

Mattress was terrible, floor was filthy

I didn't like the bed pillows. that's nothing new, pillows are always awful.

My brother and I came into town to visit our sister, so we booked a double queen beds room here for the 2 nights we were in New Braunfels. The room we were given was clean and spacious (he had his space and I had mine- no sibling wars were waged), and we couldn’t find any faults. Check-in/out was easy; all in all, a great stay.

AC not working well. Room was warm.

The questions above identify what I liked and (conveniently) exclude the items I did not like. HORRIBLE internet connection and NOISY refrigerator - it gurgled all night and prevented me from getting an adequate night's sleep.

Nice room, however, very noisy from room aboce till 4 AM.

We reserved a suite which had plenty of room but it was a drab environment. The couch cushions were broken down. Kitchenette had microwave, frig, sink, cabinet. Would have been helpful to have had a few disposable plates utensils and paper towels. The king bed was comfortable but in a space almost not wide enough for the bed and nightstands. The bathroom door opened to hit the bed. Bathroom was roomy and clean. Liked the “Dove” hair and body products. Staff was pleasant. The area was safe, across from grocery store and easy freeway access.

Room was clean. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Gave great directions to downtown Gruene.

(Everywhere else we have ever stayed its been 5). We then asked for additional towels and again were told they didn't have any. Will NEVER stay here again.

We stayed here one night and were barely at the property. It was fairly clean. The front desk staff was courteous. We were pleasantly surprised with the breakfast offerings. There was hot food available and not just a continental breakfast. The hotel is conveniently located to the local tourist attractions. The San Antonio Riverwalk is about a 30-40 minute drive. Just across the street is a large grocery store. There were quite a few choices of gas stations, including the "Disneyland" of gas stations... Buc-ee's. Also in the vicinity were a good amount of fast food and table service restaurants, plus a shopping center with a Target.

The hotel was conveniently located near the wedding events in Gruene. The lady at the desk gave very helpful comments about how to get to the Alamo.

hotel is fine, older one but fine. the staff is fine, its just the surrounding area is a little sketchy. You are on the backside of a truck driver type parking lot feels like a sketchy place where sketchy stuff happens.

It’s close to where everything is and to Gruene

Everything was pretty good. The hotel could have been a little cleaner, but it was decent.when we went downstairs the next morning for breakfast, the eggs and potatoes were kind of cold so we stuck with a waffle yogurt and fruit it could have been better. it was kind of lacking.

Breakfast was very disappointing, food was gone, coffee was empty. We left and ate somewhere else, felt like a rip off.

Breakfest was 6-9 , everything was gone when we arrived at 8. So we had to go some where else.

The continental breakfast was not very appealing. One morning they didn’t turn on juice machine and each morning seemed to be lacking in foods. The eggs were those quick eggs that taste kinda rubbery. Not true scrambled eggs.
