the hotel has excellent location but its poorly managed and its really dared. the pool was disgustingly dirty it was green with garbage at the bottom only when i complained it was cleaned and it was soo dirty it had to be closed for 2 days

This hotel is very convenient to everything in Coral Gables. Steps away from the free Gables Trolley and with a friendly staff. The restaurant has a great breakfast menu! The ONLY place to stay when visiting Coral Gables !

Parking was terrible but the rooms were clean. $25 extra pet charge and the mattress was ok

The unique architecture inside was amazing! I was really skeptical when I saw the outside of the property. The property is over 100 years old and some of the original architecture inside is amazing. The outside needs a refresh with paint and good cleaning. Parking is free, which is awesome, but the parking available is extremely tight and crowded. There seems to be parking on the street at the back of the property which is nice, but get there early. Overall a nice property for one night. All be it, our room was filthy. The hotel clerk was extremely nice and welcoming. There is a really nice Greek restaurant attached to the lobby, which was really great.

It was fine for the money. I only needed a place to sleep and didn’t want to spend a lot. Fantastic location. Beautiful pool. My only complaint was the pillows. Super hard and really high. I couldn’t sleep because my neck was tilted so bad because of it. so I used all the towels as my pillow. Bring your own pillow and the place is great to stay if you need location and don’t want to break the bank.

The food in the attached restaurant was amazing. I had the salmon and my son had the chicken. It was served hot and cooked to the doneness we requested. We are still talking about how good it was. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Parking was readily available and free. The hotel room was fair. Window a/c was very dirty but eventually cooled the room. No washcloths. TV did not work properly, and the remote did not work even after requesting new batteries. Carpet was stained. No recent updates. The pool was available. It was a little dirty with leaves, but it worked. Loungers were plentiful and comfy. The pool had a closed sign on it from the city due to safety concerns, but it seemed like they had been addressed ( pole attached to life preserver and lock on gate). No whirlpool. I would not stay in the hotel again.

Good looking lobby and pool but the hallways and rooms need updating and look like section 8 housing. Good check in. Good location

Fast and easy check in but the property need a remodeling full, furniture, the lamThe place needs a complete makeover, the furniture, the rusty lamps, the old curtains, and a bit of color would be great, it's a solution for a few days, excellent free parking.

Staff was friendly. Restaurant on premise was slow but was literally the best cheeseburger we have ever had. The hotel itself looked nothing like the pics. Hallways were nasty. Stairwells scary. Everything about it was outdated. Bathroom was clean but carpet and bedspread looked like it was from the 80’s. Felt like the pictures must’ve been take. For the website 20 years ago. Would not stay again.

Bedbugs on entering room

The customer service was wonderful, however, the bathroom had water damage along with a termite infestation. (They were even on the toliet paper). The curtains, chairs, flooring and bedding had stains on it. The bathroom door was also very hard to close.

There is a big stain on the bed sheet. One of the chair is broken, and the other one is stained. There was a moth in the room. Dust all over. The carpet floor is stained

I wish I could give zero stars. Don't stay there!! The room was completely filthy! There was mold on my mattress, hair on my pillow, the door lock was broken, the bathroom door didn't even closed because it was falling apart, a weird liquid that looked like puke on the wall, another weird liquid that looked like blood on the bathroom's switch. Everything was dirty, disgusting. I didn't feel safe either. I have pictures of everything, I couldn't stay, had to book another place, and STILL they didn't give me a refund! Hands down, the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel.

This hotel, located in a pleasant neighborhood and conveniently close to the airport (a 10-minute drive), unfortunately falls short in terms of quality. The musty smell permeates the entire hotel and room. The furniture is extremely old, and the only clean item was the bed, making it suitable for a short sleepover before heading to the airport. However, for any other purpose, this hotel is highly unpleasant.

Absolutely disgustingly dirty. We had 2 rooms, both were very dirty. Toothpaste smeared all over the sink in one room, both rooms had dirty stains on the beds and bedding and curtains were absolutely disgusting. One room had blood splattered on the curtain and lampshades and fresh blood drips on the floor. Something smeared all over the fridge and microwave. I’d say probably the most disgusting place I’ve ever seen. We went and asked for a clean room and were told that all the rooms they had left are dirty.

Place stinks like mold, burn holes everywhere, the cleaning people only change sheets and towels if that. Dont get this if you are on vacation. This is a dont wanna sleep outside only kind of place

The first room we were given wasn't even cleaned. The second room was made up but still looked dirty everywhere. I went to turn on the light and it didn't work. Neither of the lights did. It smelled like smoke throughout the hotel. I understand that the hotel is old, but it's falling apart. The room rate information on the door is from 2008. Overall it was just really dirty and smells funky.

Dirty tubs ,room service have not been to my room in 3 days ,room keys never work constantly have to walk down stairs.for guest assistance,resturunt food quality very poor and basic.

Worse hotel experience ever. I gad to switch rooms but both had mold and mildew, dead and alive termites, termite damage and wood bits around the place. Termites on the bed and on the towels. Worse if all my room didn’t have a microwave so I could eat my food until the next morning when I was finally able to get one. There was also hair on the roof and bathroom walls, pubic hair around the toilet and neither rooms had a working phone. I had two wait for the stars to align in order to meet a manager and when I did, he said there is nothing he could do. I wouldn’t let the animals who died to make my dogs food stay a night in this sorry excuse for a hotel.

Easily one of the worst hotels ive ever been in. Im a forgiving and understanding person, it wasnt just one issue, first the glass sliding door would not close all the way or latch for safety. Then no hot water for a shower and there was a leak they "attempted " to fix previously and failed. All around horrible experience

This entire hotel has a distinct smell. There is obvious water damage on the carpets in the hallways, the in room AC had no controls, it was stuck on 62. The

Shabby upkeep. Nothing word the way it should. Key dont work. Light dont work Hot water dont work. The Iron dont work.

This place is an absolutely incredible dump. Like garbage dump. Walking into the lobby i was like wow this is really nice....but it ended right there. The place is a DUMP. 100$ would not take a free night there moving forward. Carpets dirty and ripped, the lights in the room were rusty, Tint peeling off the windows, and a tv that didnt work. Do not stay here.

The check in lobby is gorgeous. So was expecting the rest of the hotel to be like this. Got off the elevator to filthy carpets on the floors, the old ceiling fans in the hallway were covers in dust and rust. Got to our room and it was awful. Dirty everything. Cigarette tar streaming down the walls in the bathroom and shower. Chipped paint with stains on the walls and closet area. The curtains in the room had to be over 50 years old. Filthy stained and looked like they came from a circus tent. The furniture was also old and mostly broken. Half the lights didn’t work in the room. It was noisy. You could hear other people and traffic all night. The bed had clean looking sheets but they were paper thin with a very thin blanket on top of that. The vents in the room for air were covered in dust and there was cigarette ash on the top of the side tables. The bed was hard as a rock. The floors were also dirty. Stayed 1 night as our flight in was very late and our flight out the next day was very early. I just didn’t have the energy to ask for another room. Slept with the lights on due to smashed bug parts on the shower curtains and some spots on the walls. I knew if I turned out the lights the critters would come out. Never again. Gave 2 stars because the staff was kind of friendly. It’s a historic building, but they could clean and update some things that would make it better. They also no longer have an airport shuttle. Which is the reason I booked.

No Wi-Fi No good

I request a balcony for our room choice upon arrival I was granted the room, but it smelled soo badly!! My husband and I insist on another room! We were sent to another room, it didn’t have air conditioning!! We travel back and forth with our luggage to finally receive a room. We request to have our room cleaned the next day.No service! This place is outdated and not a nice stay at this hotel! I will also share this on their website! Not happy! It was my husband’s birthday celebration! No!!!

The Wi-Fi needed a passcode and no one knew it. They said manager knew it but never answered anyone’s calls

Shower didnt have hot water ,room was old ,carpet dirty and smelly , windows havent been cleaned in forever. Convenient for proximity to airport and cheapest option

My wife and I checked in at check in lobby. The hotel reservation gal...young Latin girl was very friendly in the beginning..then after I had to return from the third floor 3 times because their door lock systems only work 50% of the time. We had to ask to be let in the room by a master key card that only management had access to..and guess what no manager on site. We eventually received another room that had a door that worked..40 minutes later...the room was not clean..mold through out the entire building and the bed was horrible..like sleeping in at total concave worn out bed. After sharing my bad experience with the hotel receptionist, she then got really nasty with me and didn't handle my input with a good resolve. The hotel walls are rotting away and mold spores were on our way and mirrors. The hotel ends of hallways are exposed to the outdoors and when it rains...the interior walls abbsorb it all. Mold mold and mold...door to room don't work, water dripping from the ceilings on all three floor hallways. Worst hotel ever..DO NOT STAY THERE..your health could be in serious jeopardy if u have mold issues and the young Latin girl reseptionist needs major customer service training. Side note the young Latin kid was very helpful..I think he works there but not sure ..who knows with this poorly ran operation.

The price however was in the “you get what you pay for” range, so we weren’t entirely shocked by the room conditions. That said, the staff more than made up for it. Every single person we interacted with was unbelievably friendly and helpful, truly 10/10 service. The area felt safe, which gave us peace of mind during our stay. The restaurant downstairs, hands down the best food we had our entire trip—worth visiting even if you’re not staying at the hotel!

We used Expedia for the reservation. We checked in and the gal was nice. The first room was missing the back slider handle and lock. It appeared it was ripped off with a crow bar. We got room cards for the second room but the door lock was dead. She gave us new updated cards and they still did not open the room. She said she would let us in but we would have to wait for maintenance to fix the door. We said no and asked for another room. When entering the room, we noticed it was missing a front door lock. Also one of the beds had very noticeable stains. We walked to the office and asked for a cancellation. She said we needed to call Expedia. We called Expedia and the rep was great. He called the hotel and they said no refund. I called the hotel and they said no refund. She went on to say she gave us three rooms, we should have been able to get a fourth room and be fine. She refused to refund our stay. I asked when the manager gets in and she said she did not know. After 6 hours on a plane and hours of dealing with garbage hotels in Miami, I just wanted to check in, relax, get some dinner, and go to bed. This was by far the worst experience I have experienced at a hotel in the past twenty years. Stay away!

Excellent place in the middle of Miami anf Coral Gables. Plenty of restaurants, stores, and other fun things to do.

Close to the airport and Maimi Port. Great for pre and post cruise.

The hotel is correct-and budget friendly - carpets are a little run down - they looked clean and everything smelt good- No breakfast included. Personal was friendly and correct Practical very close to airport - and I liked the neighborhood very calm and safe - loved the architectural details of Coral Gables in the streets. Love also all the pictures of the orignal hotel.

The property is quite old and looks antique. The rooms are big which is a plus point. The staff are friendly as well. It is close to the airport as well. Overall we enjoyed our time staying here with no issues.

The price is great for the quality of this hotel. It is set in the beautiful city of Coral Gables. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and it is in close proximity to downtown Coral Gables restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

i've never had a better, purely simple, timeless Greek yogurt with walnuts, and berries in just the right amount of honey breakfast 2 days running... perfect! Dimitri at the front desk was beyond attentive. Yes, the room could've been more up-to-date. However, everything was in working order. As well, the location is 2nd to none

The location is quiet, not much shops within walking distance. There is a restaurant inside the hotel, serving nice meals. The staff that checked us in was nice and helpful. Just do not check-out late as they charge a late check-out fee. There was just some confusion, because I paid the late check-out fee on my check-in date and said I can stay until 3pm. But during my check-out date the desk keeps calling me and someone knocking, I can only stay until 12 but then I asked if I can stay until 1pm and they let me.

The restaurant is EXCELLENT & the staff is FABULOUS... the staff at the hotel was a little drab & unpersonable. The hotel room carpet was filthy, the shower had NO water pressure, the toilet took 3 flushes just to flush pee with tp & even more flushes for other 'stuff'. The sliding balcony door was broken & didnt even close all the way. The AC never hit a cool temp. It was always super hot in there. No microwave.... BUT it was conveniently located.... quiet area, on trolley pick up line, and all we needed. Idk if i would stay here again only bc it was so run down. But again, it was all we needed Im just letting people know its not even as nice as the pics show...BUT the Greek restaurant...OMG SO GOOD If you're not looking for a nice looking hot we l

Air conditionier was soo loud it kept us awake, overall cleanliness left some to be desired. But on the good side, the Greek restaurant attached to the hotel was VERY good and had very good service and food.
