This property has the potential to be beautiful but unfortunately missed the mark for us. They charge a daily resort fee for amenities that aren’t in the best shape or non working. Both hot tubs were broken, the pool is in need of a good power washing/deep clean due to the walls being scuzzy and green. The outdoor building to the bathroom is rusted and falling apart. Our room was not ready at the time of checkin (4pm) and pool towels/beach chairs stop at 6 pm. We were unable to utilize any “resort” features the first day but were still required to pay the fee. The pool bar was closed during posted “open” hours. Towel/beach guys were the nicest employees that we experienced throughout our stay, they are pretty much the reason for the rating even being as high as it is. If my daughter was not walking in Miami fashion week with the event hosted here we would have checked out the very next day. Very disappointed for the price point. And yes, we did share this with a desk attendant who took our name and room number down and we never heard from anyone in management.

Great location. Old building with just 3 super slow elevators (they neeed 2 more based on its 25 stories and long waits). Overpriced parking at $40 per day. Small pool and gym. Spacious rooms with great partial beach views. Worth no.more than $200 per night.

Location is amazing —directly on the sandy beach. Amazing view from the room. Everything is old and not clean. Hotel needs renovation ( at least change carpets in the rooms, smells badly and refresh walls ) Charge for everything - starting from Umbrella ( $ 28) on the beach and ending with parking ( $40 per day) Hotel has resort fee -$25 per day which covers only 2 beach chairs and towels. You will need to pay extra for umbrella and also if you have more than 2 ppl in the room you will need pay for beach chairs for them ( $40)

Great amenities for the kids! Love that the beach chairs are included! You do have to pay extra for umbrella! They also have a Starbucks on property which my girls loved! They also give free bottles of water and cookies daily!

Elevators had over 30 minutes waiting time, the jacuzzi didnt work and they need a new bartender with proper manners and able to do the drink, I order three different drink hoping it just a mistake and all three of them taste horrible.

When choosing Double Tree Resort and Spa, we pick this hotel because we saw that it had a suana and steam room listed in amenities. However, the hotel stated that hotel has not had a suana and steam room since 2022? If we had known this we would not have booked a reservation as this was a big part of our vacation having a hotel with these amenities. It is 2024 and the hotel has not removed these amenities?. Very disappointed with double tree.

Property is nice, quiet, and family friendly. Perfect for a nice getaway on the beach with kids. Rooms are spacious and bedding is comfortable. The front desk managers are very nice and helpful as well. Elliot and Yolene are very friendly and address all concerns happily and expeditiously. Hotel stay comes with 2 beach chairs and towels but umbrellas need to be rented daily for a fee. The hotel also checks in with guests via text regularly to make sure everything is ok. Guests are able to make inquires via text without physically going to the front desk which is very helpful. I would stay here again and recommend it.

Hotel is in need of a major upgrade. Elevator and Hot tub problems throughout my stay. Comforter had holes and blood stains. I travel to Sunny Isles frequently and will not return here.

This is our second time coming to this hotel which was excellent the first time. Hotel has a great view, location right next to the beach is ideal. However on this second visit the elevator seemed to always be out of service, making it a slow process to go to and from our rooms, on the day of the checkout we had to use the stairs because we waited more than 20 minutes for the elevator. The biggest problem was the pool which was dirty with mold around the tiles and unidentified green spilled on the entrance the whole time we were there (3days). Hotel was out of pool/beach towels by 4pm everyday. Hope the staff is able to fix this and make this hotel a gem.

The AC broke twice during our stay, our refrigerator leaked 24/7 all over the kitchen and staff was not able to fix, our only towel rack in the bathroom was literally hanging out of the wall, the shower plexiglass window was loose and taped up, our room phone did not work at all. The room was large but very outdated and dirty-dust everywhere, none of the appliances cleaned or wiped down, finger prints on the windows and doors. We paid for full ocean view but only got partial. I showed them my booking confirmation of full ocean view and they said they could not switch our room as the hotel was totally booked, however it did not seem booked up or even crowded. The beach towels they provide are smaller and thinner then bath towels. The beach loungers had burn holes and rips in the fabric and were very uncomfortable. You also had to pay extra for an umbrella if you wanted any shade. However, they wouldn’t allow umbrellas two of the days we were there due to “high winds” yet both resorts on each side of us had them up the entire two days. I wouldn’t go back.

The room was dirty - the floor especially. The room also did not have a lock for the balcony and our family has a toddler- not safe. We asked for them to fix it but they didn’t until later the next day. The restaurant food was nothing to write home about. They have a pool, and the jacuzzi was broken, it also had a ring of grime around it. My stay was not satisfactory. They even charge you for chairs at the beach. Valet is also another 50 bucks a night. Not worth it.

As usual, anything managed by Hilton has that unique Customer Service that make them special. The guy from the front desk that checked us in (pardon me I dont remember his name) was super helpful in all ways. He even upgraded up to a higher floor for free without asking for it. The cleanliness, the quite rooms and that nice smell, give you the sense you need when you stay there looking for some rest and peaceful time.

I stayed at the Doubletree resort for 3 nights. The first night I checked in at 10pm. The room I received on the 27th floor was filthy. Old stained carpet and stained bed sheets. The room had dust everywhere. They next morning I woke up and let the front desk know that the room I was in was unacceptable. The lady working at the front desk did change my to room to one on the 21st floor. It was very nice and comfortable. You could tell he it been remodeled recently. I just the last 2 days of my stay, but I should've gotten a discount for what I had to indure the first night of my stay.

Our suite was not ready at check in time. The excuse was it takes longer to clean our suite. We arrived early in the morning and while we didn’t expect our room to be ready at that time, we expected to be prioritized before another family who got their room more than 2 hours before us. And our suite should’ve been ready at the very least — @ check in time. When we finally got to our suite, I inspected the bathroom where I founded hair in at least 2 places. The hardware was rusting and the tub jets were dirty— I have pictures and will provide if requested. I checked the fridge and it was dirty as well. Utensils were dirty. Lights not working in one of the rooms. Lock to sliding door leading to patio in master bedroom was broken and would not lock. I expected a spa facility and was told their spa was no longer operational. We were very disappointed with our stay.

Our bathroom was not updated and we saw 2 cockroaches in washroom we reported it but never got confirmation if anything was being done. Wall paper was falling off bathroom wall. Twice during our stay our room wasn’t cleaned. When we reported it, they didn’t change bed sheets but put them on our bed for us to change. Also we were expecting a spa as double tree hôtes and spa implies. The day that it rained we went to spa to find out it had been closed since Covid. That was very misleading with hotel name and all. Staff was friendly and courteous. Wth all choices available we would be hard pressed to stay here again or recommend to others. Hopefully these comments won’t be in vain.

Our stay was pleasant, fairly clean rooms. Rooms can Definitely use some updating and painting that matches. Kitchen cabinet door was broken not able to close it. Thermostat was located outside of the suite/apartment. A bit odd but worked. Tje balcony was enjoyabe. Overall had a nice stay.

Ocean views are amazing. Beautiful beach. Our room was the problem. It smelled like sewage. Was so outdated and the bathroom was gross. Dirty old tile floors. Bathroom sink water barely worked. Air conditioning was so old and extremely loud.

The room was great, we had a nice large bathroom, though the jetted tub was a bit loud, it was still a nice sized bathroom. The living room was great and had a nice big mirror and view of ocean. The balcony was relaxing and a beautiful view of the ocean and city.

We had a two bedroom Ocean view suite. Everything about our stay was great, except for the hotel suite is very outdated. Fabulous wraparound balcony, super spacious with full kitchen, breakfast area, dining room area, large living room, two bathrooms.

Amazing hotel very clean and service staff are excellent we love it it’s our first time to come here but will not be last time we are 4 families all of us enjoyed the room suite king bed was really amazing , king suite has full kitchen fridge and stove dining room and sofa bed which is suitable for family . When we checked in, they gave us a big 2 bedrooms suite on the ocean but it was old and needed renovations. This is not the first time we stay in this hotel. So, we asked them for a lower floor for safety concerns for our son. The concierge told us that there is a room that just got emptied so we went to see it and it was on the eighth floor and same as the ones we had before. Staff is very friendly and the suite was so beautiful. Only issue we had was that they charged us $50 a day for valet parking because we rented a big SUV.

Very disappointed that after so many years of going here I was over charged! I’m noticing my bill I was over charged for food I didn’t eat there and parking my car never stayed over night!!! Yet the manager didn’t even try to help remove those fees. Will probably contact my bank.

The lady who checked us in said she would upgrade one of our rooms. Both rooms were the same when we went upstairs. She later told us she made a mistake. Also deleted all of one rooms keys when one of us switched to a digital key. She wasn’t friendly, seemed like we were always inconveniencing her.

We recently stayed at the DoubleTree Resort & Spa by Hilton Ocean Point – North Miami Beach and, unfortunately, our experience did not meet expectations. The room was not very clean, some of the furniture was scratched and worn, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable — it was one of the worst beds I’ve slept on. We also requested a rollaway bed during our long wait check-inn, and the staff member who assisted us, Yolene, was not very welcoming or kind, which added to our discomfort saying roller bed are not available and assure it doesn’t exist. She call someone but the answer is no, I wait 2 hours and I have asked again to the night agent what help us in many times, yes we have and I’m sending the security to help you delivering the roller bed. Finally we can sleep after midnight. What frustrated us the most were the unexpected beach charges. We were surprised to be charged $28 per day so 180$ for 6 days for a beach umbrella and an extra $20 for an additional beach chair — especially since we had already paid a beach resort fee when booking. These additional costs are important to consider, particularly for families planning to stay here. When I went 6 months ago to Trump resorts I did not pay for extra charges in the beach all was included in the resort fee and the roller bed is free same as Expedia said in the offer of doubletree Hilton. Ohh I forgot Expedia said parking include charger for electric car and is not true. Sadly, we wouldn’t choose to stay again.

The customer service was amazing. Max at the front desk was super helpful and very friendly. He greeted each guest with a smile even though he was very busy. He took time to give input on dining choices and area attractions. Rosita at the bar, was also very friendly. Smiling the whole time she was serving guests. She provided alot of great tips for food and shopping to all of us at the bar.

Absolutely horrible hotel. They canceled our reserved stay the same day we were supposed to check in. They told me it was due to engineering issues however when Expedia called them on my behalf and they told Expedia they overbooked their hotel. Completely incompetent and inconvenient. The Double Trees error in canceling my reservation the day of check in cause me to spend an additional $600 at another hotel that was further from my destination.

We've stayed a few times at this resort. Rooms are hit or miss as they're all owned by different owners and not the hotel itself. Some of the individual rooms are very rundown but Suites are generally nicer, spacious, and have full kitchens, which is very important to us vacationing with littles. There's not much amenities compared to other resorts in the area. Service also feels very slow and minimal. No one was rude but also not truly polite and helpful like what we've had at other comparable resorts nextdoor. Food options at the onsite bar/restaurant and quality are poor and illogical overpriced for what's offered. It's still a good option if you need a full kitchen and larger suites but if you're looking for better amenities, services, on site food, I'd choose elsewhere.

The property and staff are great. The lack of open times for the bars and restaurants were inconvenient. We choose to dine elsewhere as these areas were hit and miss when open. Eddie at beach services was outstanding and super friendly.

I booked the trip my husband and I. The room was nice. It was right on the beach which was nice. Downfall was having to pay for valet parking. We rented a car but also a harley for 24 hours. We had to return the harley before 5pm the day we rented it instead of the next day due to the hotel not allowing bikes and not having self parking. We did not think to look in to this before we rented the bike. But the bike ended up being a waste of money since we had it for 24 hours but only got to use it for 6 hours. Not necessarily hotels fault but wish they had a spot for bikes that you could self park. Also the place that provided chairs and umbrellas along with the beach cafe closed early compared to what people were still out on the beach. The chairs should atleast be available while your on the beach. The beach bar and cafe also seemed to close early. There wasnt any real place to eat in the hotel.

Convenient to the beach. Views are great from the balcony on the higher floors. A/C went out the 1st night we arrived so we had to move. Other than that great stay. Beware of the room service as the portions are snack size and bland.
