The front desk staff was very friendly. The parking lot was well lit which I appreciated as a woman travelling alone. However, the hot breakfast items were not always hot and not very tasty. I was there a week and by the end of my stay, I ate breakfast elsewhere.

Vending and ice machines were down on my floor,pool not open, the parking lot on side of building was littered with paper. We had to keep getting the key card rekeyed. Pain in the rear. When you have your hand full and your card don't work. Good selection at breakfast and rooms were clean

unfortunately my wife & I came down with a case of bites. My wife suffered only mildly with a few bites on her leg. In my case I received several bites on both arms and leg. We were attending a wedding in Hermann, Mo and I was constantly scratching my wrist and elbow until they started bleeding and scabbed over. I called the Casie the manager and was told they checked the room and found no evidence of bedbugs. I was offered a free or very reduced charge on my next visit. So far nothing has arrived via email as promised. I hesitated in sharing this review not wanting to cause harm to the establishment. But on second thought it would not be fair to others who may stay at Best Western keeping to myself. The room was nice and clean looking and other than the aforementioned issue very acceptable. I am writing this review on 04/23/23 right after checking out, we got this room last minute after a family event. I read reviews on this establishment and figured it was ok to stay at. Sadly I was wrong to start after turning on the A/C and leaving to go get dinner after we returned the room smelled like a moist swamp. Once we laid down to go to bed the smell of the sheets matched the room, As it was 1:00 in the morning we decided to just deal with it. Once we woke up we went to go get breakfast where the only thing hot was the waffles we made ourselves. The potatoes were still frozen and the biscuits and gravy were cold to the touch. After breakfast we returned to our room and prepped to take our morning showers when I noticed Black Mold in the bathroom on the ceiling we notified the front desk attendant who's reaction made it feel like it was a normal complaint. We will not be staying here ever again.

I had a slow drain in my bathroom sink that was never fixed and I stayed there a week. Also too they got new TVs that are smart TVs, but you couldn’t connect to YouTube or Netflix. When I asked them about it, they didn’t know how to fix it. Housekeeping did not vacuum my room for four days and made the bed only once when I was there. Also, too, I had an empty conditioner dispenser in my bathroom. I notified them about that and they still never refilled it, until the following day

I stayed 3 nights. When I returned to my room on the first day after spending the day with my Dad in the hospital, my room had not been cleaned. When I complained to the front desk, I was told that when they do not have enough staff to clean all the rooms, they skip the room of guests who are staying multiple days. This is unacceptable.

Room Carpet was heavily stained and in poor condition with nail heads protruding, land line phone was not working, elevator to second floor was not working, bathroom door could not be closed with toilet seat down, a/c was effective but noisy, and the television provider was the worst ever experienced. The hotel provided a paper guide for the possible stations, HOWEVER, the remote had no guide selector and there was no programming guide on the tv itself. Pathetic and archaic.

The air-conditioning unit was noisy. The compressor or something in the outside part of the unit vibrating caused the plastic parts inside the room to vibrate rhythmically. The mattress was great! California King size? The sheets and blankets were high quality. The free breakfasts were great. A tasty variety of hot and cold options.

We heard TV's in adjoining room. Doors closing to room slam shut and as other guests enter their room it creates a lot of noise. The hinges need to dampeners.

Clean and quiet. Done what they can with an older facility. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good, but lacked variety. One aggravation was card access. You needed to insert card 10 or so times before it would open room door or outside entrance. Note: if you live within 30 miles of the hotel, you will need to pay a $200 cash no credit deposit upon check in. Debit or credit cards cannot be used for the deposit.

I made a reservation for two queen beds. The first room they gave us only had one king bed. They did give us a different room with two queen beds. The elevator did not work, and no hot water.

Front desk was rude and unprofessional. Key cards consistently needed to be re set daily. Bed was hard, room smelled of dampness. Laundry room was next to room and was loud all day. Shower had poor pressure. Elevator broken Vending machine broken Water machine broken. Exterior doors did not work with key cards.

Check in was slow. I even called to let them know we were goin to be late for checkin but no one answered the phone. Other customers that were stayin there was being very racist to us because we were white and wanted to swim in the pool. When we checked out no one was at desk. All the workers closed the breakfast area and all of them where in there just sitting and talkin. Phones were ringing 6 different times and another lady was waiting because her room keys were not working. I had to go find someone after 15 mins of waiting. Employees should really understand their responsibilities. Other than those problems the room was good and quiet which was what we were lookin for.

I have stayed at this location many times. They added the large bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower which is a great improvement that I appreciate. The breakfast is also the best in the area. Recommend this location.

We call this property the old Ramada Inn. We actually stayed at Ramada on our Honeymoon in 1984. It is now a best Western and has been updated accordingly. We always stay here when we come to Illinois to visit from Maui. We love the property and staff but you absolutely cannot beat the free breakfast. Way more offers than any other hotel we have ever stayed at.

Whole hotel and room were clean, thermostat didn’t work great and neither did the tv remote. Breakfast was ice cold and things such as bananas, muffins and Nutella were never refilled from day 1 of our 3 night stay. My daughter brought a cup of apple juice back to our room and the very next morning there was mold on top. So I’d pass on the free breakfast n take your chances at BK next door.

Nice hotel and room, clean and comfortable. The breakfast had great options, with eggs, sausage or bacon, oatmeal, cereal, waffles and more. Liked having the coffee/tea/hot chocolate available all of the time in the lobby.
