This is NOT the resort, don't confuse the two like we did. This is a motel. In a classic sense. It is NOT a $280 a night motel like we paid. It is a $90 a night stay at best. If you need a bed and shower, but not a pool etc. it's fine. Don't expect more.

Very good and relaxing time. Facilities were clean and linens were crisp and spotless. Facility is aging, but not in a bad way. You can tell there is a pride and conscientiousness by the owner and attention to detail is evident.

The Village Inn is a very nice family run Motel close to the city of Lake Geneva and very close to the western part of Geneva Lake (Williams Bay). We have stayed there several times over the last couple of years and during that time the owner(s) have completely renovated the building. If you are looking for a swimming pool, hot tub, or exercise room, this is not the place to consider. If those features are not important to you, consider staying here. Looking forward to our next visit in early May.

Our stay at Fontana Village Inn was fantastic. The rooms must have been recently renovated as they looked amazing and everything was spotless. Everything worked well; there was a fridge, freezer, coffee maker, microwave, TV, and a great shower. The family running the Inn was very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere felt family-oriented, relaxing, and safe. Thank you for a great stay - we will be back!

Affordable, clean and safe. We were very happy with the cleanliness of this hotel. If you are in lower level, you can hear ppl on the floor above you. Otherwise, we were satisfied with the cleanliness of this hotel room and will definitely stay again.

This was my first time staying there. I was plesently surprised as the room was very clean and comfortable. The towels were also fluffy too. There was no strange odors. The flat screen tv worked well and had plenty of channels to choose from.

Very dirty room. I woke up to bed bugs crawling on me and when investigating the bugs, stepped in vomit on the carpet. It was dark, but when I used my phone light, I could see vomit on the carpet, splashed on the wall and on the side of the bed. The woman at the front desk was nice and understanding of our issue and said it must have been the last guests. However I feel I have to write a review with how dirty and gross the room was. We left quickly so the nice location didn't stand out as much. I hope this was an isolated incident and they can correct their cleaning routine.

Overall it was fine for one night. However my niece’s bed linens had not been changed as there were black hairs all over the sheets. Gross!!! The room was clean otherwise and quiet. We literally were in the room for about 13 hours so it was okay. Fridge and separate freezer area were good for our leftovers. The price was good for what we got but she had to sleep on top of the sheets—luckily she brought a blanket with her to cover up with. The outlets in our room were loose so we had to plug things into the lamp across the room. Not sure if we would stay again.

It was a decent place! Not too expensive! Could be a little cleaner! I’m a housekeeper if 20 years so I notice things! The bathroom door is filthy! As well as the stainless steel toilet paper holder and towel rack! The lamps shades are extremely dirty and dusty!

Nice clean place. Room size was nice and the room rates were nice as well. For the amount of time we spent in the room, mainly to sleep and and take breaks during visit this worked perfectly. We would definitely stay here again. Close too many places we wanted to visit and eat at.

Bad weather postponed our Saturday (2 nites) trip to Lake Geneva. I called in Saturday AM and the woman on the call told me no problem changing he date to Sunday (for 2 nites) The woman at the front desk was the very one I talked to on the phone when we arrived. She insisted I pay for the late cancellation and claimed she never received my call. She told me she would charge me for rescheduled reservation as well if I left without paying both. VERY unprofessional and un-business like. I feel I was scammed. refused and left. It was Sunday afternoon and they had no one in the parking lot; she refused to

I ended up not staying at Fontana Inn. The rates were high for what was offered, though that is somewhat expected during the peak season. They stiffed me with a charge for a rescheduled booking when I arrived; and claimed they never talked to me the morning before. This was a lie. The woman I was talking with was the same who cleared me for the delay. They had virtually no guests when I arrived Sunday at 3PM Hence the 2 Stars, I suppose.
