トイレの壁に茶色い汚れが付着していて少し嫌な気持ちになったホテルの通路に清掃道具やリネンが出しっぱなしだったのが気になったでも、スタッフの方がみんないい対応だったので良かった充電器を貸してくれて助かった朝食も満足何より駅から近いのが良かったまた利用したいです。

The property condition is not ideal, it’s quite old. The carpet in the corridor and the room is disgusting. It needs better cleaning. With Japanese standard, the cleanliness is very poor. With general European standards, it’s so so. However, the staff were all very helpful and polite.

The room I was assigned upon check-in was meant to be non-smoking but there was a very strong odor of smoke. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and kind and moved me immediately to a better room. I was very impressed with their professionalism and willingness to help so quickly. They were all incredibly kind.

Booked this hotel becos it’s next to the bus and train station. Honestly, this is the only plus point for staying here. The overall experience is disappointing. First time I didn’t sleep well throughout the 3 nights stay due to noises from the movement of cars outside and the bright light coming from the aircon unit control hung on the wall next to the bed. I had feedback to the front desk that the aircon was also noisy and requested for a change of room. The senior male receptionist replied that all the rooms’ aircon units were noisy hence there was no difference. The bed was very soft for my liking and the bedroom space was very tight to accommodate two beds, they were just 1 feet apart. The shower was very tight too. Over the front desk, there was a lack of welcoming smiles from the hotel staff. I’m sure I won’t be returning to this hotel for my next trip to Karuizawa for above reasons.

This hotel beside having the advantage on location near to the train station, nothing worth mentioning. Can u imagine, they only offer 1 bottle of mineral water n the vending machine did not refil the mineral water. Out of no choice, i ask the hotel for 1 bottle as it is late in the night to go out to find a store. The staff make me pay for it. They make a mistake to put me in a wrong room n after i settle down, insist i need to move out. The hotel isnt in high occupancy rate. Y cant they just let it be. N is winter but the warm air is not working well.

This is my 3rd time in APA Karuizawa and l feel like the level has degraded. We were placed in the newly built ward. When booking, it was stated that it was the new ward so I didn't pay much attention to it, but when entering the room I was disappointed with the size of it. The room design and setup was identical to the rooms I got in previous years, but it was smaller and more cramped. The planning of the rooms isn't great - The two twin beds were too big, making walking inside the room barely possible because of the massive other furniture (desk and chair) let alone room for a suitcase. But that I can live with. The main problem for me was the service in the hotel which only seems to cater to the Japanese businessman coming to stay, and not caring much for the rest of the guests from abroad: On the early morning of our first day of stay, the fire alarm went on. It woke me off so I quickly got up to put some clothes on me. The fire alarm went for a few minutes, following by an announcement on the speakers by the staff. It lasted for about a minute and stopped. My wife and I opened the door in panick, ready do go downstairs when we stumbled on our neighbour to the room who happened to be Japanese. I asked her what the announcement said and she said that it said that it is a mistake. That felt to me extremely unprofessional. You have guests from abroad staying in your hotel, and the least you can do is say "sorry, mistake" in English when your fire alarm goes on.

This is my 3rd time in APA Karuizawa and l feel like the level has degraded. We were placed in the newly built ward. My wife and I were very pleased with our 2 nights 3 day day stay and enjoyed the stay as much as when we stayed back in 2022. The location is perfectly located near the railroad station and the Outlet as well as where Seizan golf course where we played. The buffet breakfast was fantastic! But the dinner menu was lacking variety. And we could not use it for dinner because it was reserved for a large group of golf team. We had to walk around to near the station to find a soba place. Coffee and Ice should have been more available in the lobby. Amenity set in the room was more than enough and high quality. Beds and the TV wonderful! Big foreigners might find the room we had a little tight for their stay but there are larger rooms available. We are looking forward to another visit in the Fall.

駅目の前の好立地と安心のブランドとはいえ，価格はあともう一声低いといいとは思うけれども妥当なところか．朝食には文句を言いたい．あれは1700円のクオリティではない．マーガリンでなくバターを置くべき．(低品質を狙うならば朝食代は1000円を上回ってはならない．)米がマズ過ぎ．味噌汁の味が薄すぎ(出汁入ってない)．さらに朝食スタッフの接客質は酷過ぎ．眼つき悪い．態度が潰れそうな民宿の主な感．

Great place to stay for a visit to Kariuzawa. Next to the train station and they will hold your bags while you explore the town, then pick up your bag and head to the train station. Very helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had in Japan- lots of local, traditional foods cooked from scratch. Such a treat!

This is a decent "Business Hotel" style very close to the station. Rooms are always small in this style but had everything I needed and a fair priced coin laundry (albeit one washer and one drier only) to catch up on laundry during the trip. Station is a fair hike from the old town and various "sights" but there's a bus for ¥100 to old town, cycle hire, taxis etc. Station has lots of amenities, restaurants etc nearby (next to the outlet mall). It has parking, although I didn't have a car during my stay - would be a good option to hire and use as a base to explore the area maybe. Would certainly come back as a solo traveller.
