Parking is expensive. Valet parking overnight at $65 is very expensive. Hotel is OK but overpriced for what it is. Getting extra pillows involved 3 phone calls. Restaurant is very slow moving so if you are in a hurry avoid it. They got my wifes hamburger order completely wrong. Very much not the Fairmont experience I have had in the past. Front desk people very nice and friendly

The crowd that hangs out in front of this hotel is way less than desirable. There was a loud noise that reoccurring every 30-45 minutes through out the night. Upon arrival to the hotel after my event, the elevators were not working. I was instructed to use the service elevator. That was able to get me up to my room. I tried to leave again using that elevator and it would not work. I was on the 22nd floor, walking all of those flights of stairs is a real big inconvenience. I wouldn’t really suggest this hotel to anyone staying downtown. There are far better options.

We stayed in a suite in Fairmont last month. The main bathroom was not properly cleaned; there were cobwebs on the side of the shower area, the body was container was empty, and the main toilet is stained, which is gross. Also, the carpet is old and looks dirty. To be rated as a 5-star hotel and charge customers a high price, I expected to stay in a clean and nice room.\xa0 Anyway, I went to the front desk and told them about the issue. They sent someone to clean the toilet right away. But because it's a stain, the cleaning person couldn't do anything about it. I just decided to close the toilet in the main bathroom so that I can't see it and use the other bathroom in our room. I will not come back to this property for sure.\xa0

The Fairmont is in an excellent downtown location. It is close to the Cultural district and Market square. The lobby is beautiful with a Starbucks. The rooms were average size. We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. The walls and furniture were dirty. There was a Keurig in the room with free pods. There was chips available in the room. They were $9 for a 1.5 oz container. (Really????). We will not be staying here again.

Very nice accommodations, staff was cery friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, nice views. Close walking to shops and restaurants. Very festive for the holidays. Valet team was great and helpful with directions, prompt with our vehicle and super friendly. Front desk ladies were also very helpful and nice. Will definitely stay here again.

loved everything about the property expect the internet bandwidth was very poor over 5 days. 10-15 mbps down for this level of hotel is unacceptable. Should have at least 60-80 even in the worst hidden corners of the property. They need to invest in that infrastructure. But i loved the stay otherwise.

The room was spacious and exceptionally clean. The views of PNC were amazing and the hotel was within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The hotel staff were very helpful in giving directions and making suggestions for dining and entertainment. By far this is the best hotel we have stayed at in Pittsburgh!.

We were on the return leg of a roadtrip and arrived at the Fairmont. Beautiful exterior with attentive staff as We Valeted the car. We found the receptionist kind and efficient. Our 2 queen with a view of the water was spacious. The view was as advertised. Gorgeous bathroom with a glass shower and a tub to soak. After a day in downtown we retreated to our sanctuary in the city. The bed and bedding provide a restful night. Couldn’t be happier. This place is top notch!

Staying at the Fairmont is definitely a luxury experience. The front desk gave us an umbrella to use when it was raining and we were walking to dinner. It was the weekend of the marathon and they communicated what roads were going going to be blocked off and when to leave.

Front desk -poor service (later at night they are never there) (to order room service from them it took 6 calls to front desk for them to pickup) Room was clean and very nice. Valet’s did a great job in the front. Room service needs more all day items. I was charged $50 for an early checkin fee (but I actually checked in late) After calling the hotel to rectify this after I received my portfolio I still never received a new portfolio showing the $50 credit for the early checkin that never occurred.

We sought to celebrate a significant life-event in a fine hotel within walking distance of several museums we wanted to visit and could not have made a better choice! From checkin to checkout, General Manager Shawn St. Pierre and his staff took great care of us and made our stay very special, upgrading us to a beautiful suite with the view we had requested and ensuring our every need was met. The bathrooms were sparkling thanks to our housekeeper, Paula; the bedding was cloud-like, and our variable schedules were politely respected. Will happily stay there again.

Great location in downtown Pittsburgh! The hotel staff is EXCELLENT - especially RYAN! We arrived early (Noon) knowing that check in was at 4pm. Ryan was so helpful and checked our luggage so we could start our tour bus fun! Around 1:30 pm, I received a text message from Ryan that our room was ready and he had our luggage delivered to our room so it was available upon our return from our ventures! He was so helpful and polite! Great customer service! Thank you!

Until now, this has been our favorite hotel in Pittsburgh. It’s modern and clean, and the location is ideal. That said, our last visit was disappointing, which was extra frustrating since we were in town celebrating our 10 year anniversary and my husband’s birthday. The posted check-in time is 3pm. We arrived at 4:15pm expecting to have immediate access to our room and were told that the room wouldn’t be available for another 30 minutes. There was a lobby full of other guests in the same boat. Stated reason was that hotel was fully booked and housekeeping was running behind, which isn’t a legitimate excuse at all as the hotel would have known of its occupancy ahead of time and should have better planned with adequate staffing. The fact of being fully booked shouldn’t be a burden that shifted onto guests. We finally checked in at 4:45pm. No apology was offered, nor were any amends made to make up for the late check in, such as a discount or credit on our bill for parking, drinks, or breakfast at the restaurant. Even a nominal gesture would have been appreciated. Due to the late check-in, we felt rushed instead of relaxed getting ready to make our dinner reservations. We already completed another survey noting our disappointment with the late check-in, and still, no one from management reached out to apology or make it right.

This hotel was not worth the extra spend. I did not find the staff helpful nor up to Fairmont's usual service level. Not offer of help with bags despite people at the door watching me struggle. I booked a room on a high floor. I paid extra for this. When I got there they told me this wasn't available because my stay overlapped with other people who also booked a high floor. Therefore I was given a lower floor and not offered a refund. I communicated to the hotel that this had happened and they informed me I hadn't booked a room on a high floor despite showing them my reservation details which clearly spelled that out. Overall a disappointing property.

This was our second year staying at this hotel, and it continues to exceed our expectations! The staff is incredibly kind and always makes us feel welcome. The location is fantastic—everything is so convenient! It’s just a short walk to great shops, dining options, and, of course, Acrisure Stadium. Perfect for a game day or a weekend getaway. The only thing that bummed me out was that I chose this property because I was looking forward to a room service meal where someone brings me food and takes away the dishes so that I don’t have to do any work for once, but we really found the menu to be limited and uninspiring enough that nothing appealed to either of us (and I’m a bit of a foodie so it’s not like I’m picky). One evening, we returned to the hotel and were starving so we went straight to the restaurant, but we actually got up and left the table because we totally forgot in our hunger that the menu was what it was. So we never had a meal there, but it WAS nice to have someone bring me a pot of coffee good enough to drink it black. Otherwise everything about the property, service, and location was fantastic.

The restaurant was a big disappointment. The staff was busy and we had to ask 3X if we could sit at an actual table vs a 30” round bar type table (very small), and we all planned on ordering food, which we repeatedly stated. He rolled his eyes, said, “well, I’ll have to clean it off”. $140 for nachos that were small bowl….chips with grated cheese, not melted cheese, but very tiny ketchup size container like you get with fries, of grated cheese. Burger was good. 3 beers. A separate plate with avocado was provided, no lettuce, no tomatoes etc….kind of like your 3rd grader made them. We actually cancelled our dinner & breakfast reservations after this happened. The lobby has no bathrooms. Since there’s a lot of walking to Acrisure stadium and shops, and cost of this hotel, didn’t expect to see this. The staff was very nice and smiling, but we asked a few times for directions, and Acrisure stadium and bridge to get there is right around the corner, they were unable to give us those simple directions. Same situation with assistance with nearby restaurants. The beds were low quality mattresses, very soft and not supportive, we wouldn’t mention them, but they were so soft we got back aches. They may not be like our home mattresses, but we should , for the price, be able to get a restful night of sleep. The Steelers game was fantastic, and I just wouldn’t ever stay at this hotel again.

Nice view of the river and Mt. Washington. The room, however, had various dings and knicks in the paint, scratches on the lamps. Could be improved. Also - disturbing that the restaurant closed at 10.00 p.m., there was no room service and no mini bar. Please move your hotel forward.

We had a fabulous time. The hotel staff were very pleasant and seemed very happy to be there. Our room was crisp and clean along with the bathroom. The bar and restaurant is beautifully decorated, well stocked bar and good food. The grounds were well maintained. We will definitely be back next year, we highly recommend a stay here!
