This was a lovely hotel, with a beautiful pool area and private beach! The beach was good for swimming, and there are lots of free activities such as kayaking that you can do! We went in the middle of May and the water was a good temperature for swimming. Breakfast was awesome, with a lot of options for food, however it does end at 10 am so be sure to wake up early enough. We did not get the full or half board, so if we wanted to have the dinner buffet it was 35 euros per person. It is kind of expensive, so we ended up doing this twice in the week that we were there, and the buffet had a looot of food. For the other days, we drove into tortoli for dinner which was much cheaper. There is also a beach bar right on the beach (not affiliated with the resort) that had good options. Our room was cleaned everyday which was wonderful, and there was always activities to do. It’s definitely a family friendly place! Just be aware of all the additional fees for things like lunch, dinner, extra beach towels, etc as you pay everything at the end of your visit when checking out. Also do not bring any outside food or drinks with you to the pool if you did not purchase them from the hotel bar (we had a powerade bottle just sitting out on the side table and were told it’s not allowed). Amenities such as electricity, water, and wifi are included in the price (I had read previous reviews saying they weren’t, just wanted to clear that up for anyone reading). Overall a great place!

It has been amazing! Very friendly staff, Great Food and the offering of activities (if you like) has been Great - amazing people working for the Animation Team! Pool is lovely with enough room and sunbeds for everyone, same at the beach! Highly recommended

It’s was a great experience from beginning to end. It was very relaxing in the pool and its private beach area. The close proximity to the towns nearby was a big plus. Their local buses stop right in front of the property. The attention to details was superb! Provided a bottle of wine for birthday celebration.

The hotel grounds are stunning with well maintained gardens and landscaping, the pool and beach areas are also great. Loved the daily aqua gym class. Breakfast was average, limited selection, quality of food and service was mixed. Would have been nice to have a chef cooking fresh eggs/omelettes to order. The outdoor breakfast area was very picturesque looking out to sea, but was unfortunately spoilt by what felt like an invasion of wasps most mornings. Evening entertainment in the bar was good with a nice atmosphere. Good ordering and payment system throughout the hotel using your room key. Location of the hotel is in a quiet area, yet has plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed walking into Arbatax for a day/evening a few times or Tortolì was a 10min car ride where there are lots of very reasonable options for dinner. Things I’d like to see changed : not charging to get a clean beach towel, not charging for staying at the hotel on day of check out (we didn’t feel welcome to stay) - both of these seem unusual charging practices for a 4 star hotel.

What a wonderful resort with such a convenient location close to Baunei, Gulf of Orosei. Impresssive amenities and room had AC! We went for half board, which had us set up nicely with dinner buffet and buffet breakfast (included already). Loved the room, the grounds, the amenities, the beach, the infinity pool, the buffet, and the restaurants on the property! We enjoyed tennis everyday (free) and free sailing lessons, which was such a fun experience! Beach and salt water infinity pool were both really nice! There were also other amenities such as fresh water swimming pool, gym, etc. but we ran out of time to enjoy all resort features! Staff was incredibly attentive and very helpful. Stunning resort overall and highly recommend stay for anyone who’s considering this as an option in Sardinia! The resort is 2 hours drive from Cagliari airport or about 2.5 hours from Olbia. However, the drive itself was so beautiful, it was well worth the trip. Walking distance to Arbatax port and 20 min drive from Santa Maria Navaresse port. Highly recommend Sardinia Natural Park Tours, especially Baunei coast tour (Cala Mariolu, Cala Luna, Cala Sisine etc.) P.S. No complaints whatsoever. Must visit and highly recommend stay at resort.

Confermo che l' Hotel Saraceno,dove ho soggiornato altre volte,e' uno dei migliori resort in Sardegna, insieme alle altre strutture gestite in maniera super professionale dalla famiglia Bovi.Il resort si trova direttamente sulla lunga spiaggia di San Gemiliano e offre un ottimo servizio con ombrelloni e lettini.A pochi metri si trova la bellissima piscina tropicale con idromassaggio e acqua di mare.Curatissimi i giardini con piante tipiche sarde.La stanza assegnataci era grandissima, dotata di ogni comfort,con un grande terrazzo con vista mare.La pulizia e' super accurata sia nella stanza che nelle aree comuni.La ristorazione e' eccellente con un assortito buffet con cibo di qualita'.Il personale si e' confermato molto cortese e professionale.

An sich ein schönes Anwesen. Die Liegen am Pool sind aus Stoff (weiss/grau gestreift) und ziemlich dreckig. Bei so einem Hotel recht erstaunlich. Hier sollten die Liegen in jedem Fall erneuert werden. Am besten, wie in anderen hochklassigen Hotels aus Kissen mit abwischbarem Stoff. Excellentes Frühstück und ein hoch auf den sehr netten Fahrer "Marco".

Wir waren Anfang Juni dort und haben es in vollen Zügen genossen. Die Reisezeit ist absolut zu empfehlen: keine Touristenmassen, weder auf der Insel noch im Hotel und ein angenehmes Klima. Die Hotelanlage ist wahnsinnig schön, top gepflegt und mit viel Liebe gestaltet. Wer mediterrane Blumen/Planzen und Palmen mag, kommt hier total auf seine Kosten. An jeder Ecke ein Fotomotiv :-) Die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, verfügen aber dennoch über alles, was man braucht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, extrem diskret und geht vorbildlich mit kleineren Problemen um. Unsere Klimaanlage war defekt und wir konnten noch am selben Abend das Zimmer ohne Probleme wechseln und bekamen sogar einen Gutschein für ein Freigetränk an der Bar. Sehr kundenorientiert und professionell. Das Essen am Buffet ist vielfältig und lecker. Jeden Tag gibt es wechselnde Gerichte, die man per Scannen eines QR Codes am Tisch einsehen kann. Besonders zu empfehlen sind sowohl die Pool-Bar mit tollem Blick auf das Meer und leckeren Speisen als auch die Bar/Terrasse neben dem Speisesaal mit einer tollen Auswahl an Getränken. Wir können das Hotel guten Herzens weiterempfehlen und waren rundum sehr zufrieden.

Confermo che l' Hotel Saraceno,dove ho soggiornato altre volte,e' uno dei migliori resort in Sardegna, insieme alle altre strutture gestite in maniera super professionale dalla famiglia Bovi.Il resort si trova direttamente sulla lunga spiaggia di San Gemiliano e offre un ottimo servizio con ombrelloni e lettini.A pochi metri si trova la bellissima piscina tropicale con idromassaggio e acqua di mare.Curatissimi i giardini con piante tipiche sarde.La stanza assegnataci era grandissima, dotata di ogni comfort,con un grande terrazzo con vista mare.La pulizia e' super accurata sia nella stanza che nelle aree comuni.La ristorazione e' eccellente con un assortito buffet con cibo di qualita'.Il personale si e' confermato molto cortese e professionale.

Resort is beautiful! Our room had the most amazing view - we thought we totally lucked out. What we didn't realize is that the nightly LIVE music was set up right outside our room. The music was really loud until 11:15 every night except Monday. Had we known . . . we would have asked to be moved to another location. Breakfast Buffet fabulous, Lunch choices in the Bar Restaurant were varied and delicious. I was not a fan of all of the dinner options . . .however, I'm not very adventurous when it comes to food, so I'll accept responsibility for not being overjoyed with what was offered. Other than the food and music, the resort was immaculate, the beach and sea . . . amazing!! Staff - over the top friendly and helpful!!

Wir waren Anfang Juni dort und haben es in vollen Zügen genossen. Die Reisezeit ist absolut zu empfehlen: keine Touristenmassen, weder auf der Insel noch im Hotel und ein angenehmes Klima. Die Hotelanlage ist wahnsinnig schön, top gepflegt und mit viel Liebe gestaltet. Wer mediterrane Blumen/Planzen und Palmen mag, kommt hier total auf seine Kosten. An jeder Ecke ein Fotomotiv :-) Die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, verfügen aber dennoch über alles, was man braucht. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, extrem diskret und geht vorbildlich mit kleineren Problemen um. Unsere Klimaanlage war defekt und wir konnten noch am selben Abend das Zimmer ohne Probleme wechseln und bekamen sogar einen Gutschein für ein Freigetränk an der Bar. Sehr kundenorientiert und professionell. Das Essen am Buffet ist vielfältig und lecker. Jeden Tag gibt es wechselnde Gerichte, die man per Scannen eines QR Codes am Tisch einsehen kann. Besonders zu empfehlen sind sowohl die Pool-Bar mit tollem Blick auf das Meer und leckeren Speisen als auch die Bar/Terrasse neben dem Speisesaal mit einer tollen Auswahl an Getränken. Wir können das Hotel guten Herzens weiterempfehlen und waren rundum sehr zufrieden.

What a wonderful resort with such a convenient location close to Baunei, Gulf of Orosei. Impresssive amenities and room had AC! We went for half board, which had us set up nicely with dinner buffet and buffet breakfast (included already). Loved the room, the grounds, the amenities, the beach, the infinity pool, the buffet, and the restaurants on the property! We enjoyed tennis everyday (free) and free sailing lessons, which was such a fun experience! Beach and salt water infinity pool were both really nice! There were also other amenities such as fresh water swimming pool, gym, etc. but we ran out of time to enjoy all resort features! Staff was incredibly attentive and very helpful. Stunning resort overall and highly recommend stay for anyone who’s considering this as an option in Sardinia! The resort is 2 hours drive from Cagliari airport or about 2.5 hours from Olbia. However, the drive itself was so beautiful, it was well worth the trip. Walking distance to Arbatax port and 20 min drive from Santa Maria Navaresse port. Highly recommend Sardinia Natural Park Tours, especially Baunei coast tour (Cala Mariolu, Cala Luna, Cala Sisine etc.) P.S. No complaints whatsoever. Must visit and highly recommend stay at resort.

The property itself is beautiful and spills down a hillside with the sea and the beautiful mountains as a backdrop- could not be any more beautiful. I enjoyed staying here but I could not control my room temperature and there was no phone in the room. In addition, the restaurants catered solely to German eaters. There was a lot of Wienerschnitzel and onion soup, but ironically, not any fish or vegetables.

Expérience mauvaise et très décevante ! 4 étoiles ?! NON ! Point positif, le seul : cadre agréable et la mer qui est à proximité de la propriété (mais il ne s’agit pas de l’une des plus belles plages de Sardaigne, le sable est granuleux et il y a des algues). Points négatifs entre autres : - Restauration médiocre, pas à la hauteur et très chère, l’endroit est infesté de guêpes pour les repas, - Services peu nombreux, médiocres et chers, pas de conciergerie, - Chambre petite, lits inconfortables (mal de dos sévère et des rendez-vous médecin et ostéopathe ainsi que des médicaments au retour), intimité dans la chambre par rapport à la salle de bain inexistante (toilettes et douches dans un seul espace séparé de la chambre par une paroi en verre qui ne tient pas et s’ouvre toute seule et laisse passer tous les bruits de toilettes), - Endroit éloigné des aéroports et la navette est chère (500 € A/R), - Personnels avec des comportements arrogants et désagréables, - Honteux et malhonnête : au moment de partir, ils ont essayé de nous escroqué plusieurs fois et la facture a dû être refaite 3 fois !, et ils nous ont fait payer la présence de notre fille de 2 ans juste car elle est présente sur le séjour… (supplément illégal qui nous a été indiqué qu’une fois l’endroit réservé et en faisant le check out pour partir, sinon nous n'aurions jamais réservé). Bref, pour tous ces désagréments, nous regrettons profondément d’avoir réservé ce lieu qui n’est là que pour plumer les gens !

The hotel grounds are stunning with well maintained gardens and landscaping, the pool and beach areas are also great. Loved the daily aqua gym class. Breakfast was average, limited selection, quality of food and service was mixed. Would have been nice to have a chef cooking fresh eggs/omelettes to order. The outdoor breakfast area was very picturesque looking out to sea, but was unfortunately spoilt by what felt like an invasion of wasps most mornings. Evening entertainment in the bar was good with a nice atmosphere. Good ordering and payment system throughout the hotel using your room key. Location of the hotel is in a quiet area, yet has plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed walking into Arbatax for a day/evening a few times or Tortolì was a 10min car ride where there are lots of very reasonable options for dinner. Things I’d like to see changed : not charging to get a clean beach towel, not charging for staying at the hotel on day of check out (we didn’t feel welcome to stay) - both of these seem unusual charging practices for a 4 star hotel.

It’s was a great experience from beginning to end. It was very relaxing in the pool and its private beach area. The close proximity to the towns nearby was a big plus. Their local buses stop right in front of the property. The attention to details was superb! Provided a bottle of wine for birthday celebration.
It’s was a great experience from beginning to end. It was very relaxing in the pool and its private beach area. The close proximity to the towns nearby was a big plus. Their local buses stop right in front of the property. The attention to details was superb! Provided a bottle of wine for birthday celebration.

The hotel grounds are stunning with well maintained gardens and landscaping, the pool and beach areas are also great. Loved the daily aqua gym class. Breakfast was average, limited selection, quality of food and service was mixed. Would have been nice to have a chef cooking fresh eggs/omelettes to order. The outdoor breakfast area was very picturesque looking out to sea, but was unfortunately spoilt by what felt like an invasion of wasps most mornings. Evening entertainment in the bar was good with a nice atmosphere. Good ordering and payment system throughout the hotel using your room key. Location of the hotel is in a quiet area, yet has plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed walking into Arbatax for a day/evening a few times or Tortolì was a 10min car ride where there are lots of very reasonable options for dinner. Things I’d like to see changed : not charging to get a clean beach towel, not charging for staying at the hotel on day of check out (we didn’t feel welcome to stay) - both of these seem unusual charging practices for a 4 star hotel.

What a wonderful resort with such a convenient location close to Baunei, Gulf of Orosei. Impresssive amenities and room had AC! We went for half board, which had us set up nicely with dinner buffet and buffet breakfast (included already). Loved the room, the grounds, the amenities, the beach, the infinity pool, the buffet, and the restaurants on the property! We enjoyed tennis everyday (free) and free sailing lessons, which was such a fun experience! Beach and salt water infinity pool were both really nice! There were also other amenities such as fresh water swimming pool, gym, etc. but we ran out of time to enjoy all resort features! Staff was incredibly attentive and very helpful. Stunning resort overall and highly recommend stay for anyone who’s considering this as an option in Sardinia! The resort is 2 hours drive from Cagliari airport or about 2.5 hours from Olbia. However, the drive itself was so beautiful, it was well worth the trip. Walking distance to Arbatax port and 20 min drive from Santa Maria Navaresse port. Highly recommend Sardinia Natural Park Tours, especially Baunei coast tour (Cala Mariolu, Cala Luna, Cala Sisine etc.) P.S. No complaints whatsoever. Must visit and highly recommend stay at resort.

The property itself is beautiful and spills down a hillside with the sea and the beautiful mountains as a backdrop- could not be any more beautiful. I enjoyed staying here but I could not control my room temperature and there was no phone in the room. In addition, the restaurants catered solely to German eaters. There was a lot of Wienerschnitzel and onion soup, but ironically, not any fish or vegetables.

Resort is beautiful! Our room had the most amazing view - we thought we totally lucked out. What we didn't realize is that the nightly LIVE music was set up right outside our room. The music was really loud until 11:15 every night except Monday. Had we known . . . we would have asked to be moved to another location. Breakfast Buffet fabulous, Lunch choices in the Bar Restaurant were varied and delicious. I was not a fan of all of the dinner options . . .however, I'm not very adventurous when it comes to food, so I'll accept responsibility for not being overjoyed with what was offered. Other than the food and music, the resort was immaculate, the beach and sea . . . amazing!! Staff - over the top friendly and helpful!!

Super schöne Anlage und top Zimmer. Personal auch extrem freundlich und zuvorkommenden. Das Abendessen war allerdings nur ok, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Auswahl ist gut man findet immer was, aber die Qualität bzw. Zubereitung der Speisen war nicht optimal. Frühstück dafür super. Als jüngeres Paar würde ich es für einen längeren Aufenthalt allerdings nur bedingt empfehlen, viele Familien mit Kindern und in der Umgebung sehr wenig zu erleben. Für einen kurzen Zwischenstopp auf einer Rundreise ist es aber super, bootstouren sind direkt am Hafen Arbatax zur Gala Goloritze etc. Möglich

Great large property, in a charming local town. It’s awesome resort for families with lots of activities/entertainment like paddling boating, floats, beach toys, sailing, boat rentals etc. The property is large & uphill, rooms a located on the hill, you get your steps in. The staff is always riding around in carts and you can catch a ride if that’s an issue. The rooms were large and clean, with a great view.

It has been amazing! Very friendly staff, Great Food and the offering of activities (if you like) has been Great - amazing people working for the Animation Team! Pool is lovely with enough room and sunbeds for everyone, same at the beach! Highly recommended
