Location was beautiful, and particularly enjoyed seeing the nature reserve on site (must do experience). Room was clean and set up very pretty. However, mixed review when it came to the staff. Some members of staff were very friendly and made you feel very welcome. Yet others (particularly some members of the staff at the Pool Bar and in the restaurant) were border line hostile, abrupt and rude. In addition, more could be done for the evening entertainment which can only be described as 'boring'. Finally, I understand that this is an 'Eco' Resort, but charging you 2 euros every time you wanted to change a pool towel is not cool! I get not changing the towel every day, but expecting the guests to keep the same pool towel for a week's break is a bit of a joke. Especially when they then give out 'non recyclable' plastic cups to drink out of at the Pool. But other than that, enjoyed my stay and would still recommend staying here as long as you expect some 'issues'.

Nice rooms and very nice people working at the Borgo. Sometimes a little waiting time for the shuttle between the resort, but nothing major. If you want to go for a nature walk with a ranger be aware that they only speak Italian on these trips. The breakfast is really nice. I would opt. for a stay with breakfast, but not with lunch and dinner as the options are limited and there’s only a 13 min walk to the town with more options. Here I would recommend Restaurant La Comida for pizza. The Pizza at the Restaurant La Vela in the resort is also nice, you can get a reservation from the reception. The beaches are nice, especially La Palme, which is a sandy beach, but come early as people are quickly occupying the chairs and parasols.

We had a lovely stay at Arbatax Park Resort. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the options of beaches and pools were brilliant, we enjoyed the nature park and gardens and the breakfast and dinner buffets were good with lots of choice (including always at least 1 option for vegetarians). The rooms in Borgo are simple, traditionally styled and comforable. With spacious bedrooms and great bathroom.

This is a difficult one to review for us. This is one of six hotels in a very large ECO-park. The location and surroundings are very beautiful. The place itself had it's "prime" many years ago and it shows. However the rooms where quite large and bathrooms nice and clean. AC works well but is old and sounds like an aeroplane more or less. Very good housekeeping every day though! You must be prepared to walk a lot and MANY stairs up and down to move around the premises, for us this was not a problem but good to know if you have any issues. The most disappointing thing for us was the food. We decided to do halfboard (breakfast and dinner) which we usually never do. Because we thought "it's Italy, the food here is great!". No, it was not. I myself ended up doing a fast until lunch - we had a car and went to beaches and had lunch every day - since breakfast was only dry baked sweets and white bakeoff bread and canned fruit floating around in bowls! The only thing my husband and my son appreciated was the coffee. Very disappointing. Dinner was different "salads" with canned crabsticks and green beans, ONE time they had Caprese salad and even that was terrible. Iceberg lettuce does NOT belong in a Caprese salad (I'm an educated chef so I guess I'm extra "offended" ;)). The fish was dry, overcooked. No taste. My only guess was that this buffé was made for german and british visitors mainly because it resembled that kind of food more than typical Italian food.
