It was an excellent all around stay for an excellent price. The only change I would make another time would be to request a first floor room. As seniors, it was a slight inconvenience to carry luggage up the stairs.

The room was clean and the perfect temperature. There was a long walk to get to the room so if you have mobility issues, you should ask for a room closer to the front. Otherwise, a great place to stay.

Staff was Excellent at Check in and Out, Big Jacuzzi and big screen for a Romantic Night With myself and Loving Wife 4LIFE Sweet Maria Luisa! Lots of Nearby shopping and A Facial @ A Red Deer Clinic, alot cheaper than Fort McMurray Alberta!

The absolute worst experience I've ever had. Everything was dirty or moldy in the shower, dogs barking all hours of the night, burn holes in the towels and comforter. The floor was gross the toilet was gross. I got some allergic reaction to the bed and 12 hours later my eyes are still red and puffy. The pool was chained off and had stuff floating in it and it was not a good color. I tried to take this to the front desk clerk when I checked out, he didn't even have any clue of why I was checking out most people don't he said, and he had no idea what I was saying he didn't understand at all

Room not in a clean condition, im sure bathroom/ kitchen floors have not been cleaned in years- i wiped up some spilled water and the washcloth was black !!-also stain on outside toilet that i cleaned up but shouldnt have !! staff were friendly and accomodating- room outdated but in good repair

Very very nice staff- courteous and fun! Price was great, room clean comfortable with new upright fridge and a small fireplace. Spotless bathroom, fresh really white linens and quiet. I highly recommended Western Budget in Red Deer!

When we were on our way to the hotel at 10pm we received a call from the hotel telling us the room we booked (with the jetted tub) was no longer available. They offered us a double room at a reduced rate ($10 cheaper) instead. Which wouldn't have been so bad if we hadn't had to walk the whole length of the property AND up a flight of stairs carrying our luggage and valuables from our car. Only to arrive to an unclean non-smoking room with cigarette burns on the carpet, in the tub and on the toilet seat. All in all the stay was disappointing.

Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Just what we needed after a long day of air travel. And a lot less than any in Calgary. Worth the hour drive if you are heading north and need to crash for the night.

The place is very dated and a bit shabby, but what do you want for a budget sided hotel. The really bad part is the bed was extremely hard memory foam type material which made sleeping almost impossible.

The room is much better than what I had expected for the price. My preference for beds is soft, theirs are not, so if your preference is a firm bed you’ll be delighted. There are no fridges so don’t come expecting one. The staff were incredibly polite, personable, and helpful. The room was clean too.

Hotel was wonderful and desk staff were so helpful and kind. My only issue was the highway noise, not sure if it’s bad throughout the property, we were in room 2003 and could hear the highway LOUD all night. So didn’t get a lot of sleep. Otherwise this is a good hotel and would stay again requesting to stay on the back side of property :)

When we arrived the front desk had all the paperwork ready, keys ready, it took less than five minutes to check in, the person on the desk was very pleasant, explained everything clearly. Very pleased with this hotel will definitely stay here again.

I booked a room on hotels.ca for $74.70 + $6.73 for a total of $81.43 on March 11. On March 14 at check-in I was charged $98 plus $8.82 levy + gst for a total of $106.82. I am not impressed. I was told increasing the room rates was standard practise by the woman working the desk on Saturday morning. I explained I had pre-booked the room. She said you move people to more expensive rooms sometimes and there was nothing she could do. I will make it my mission in life to bad-mouth your motel at every event and market I attend in Red Deer (40+ events per year). I hope it was worth the $25 you stole from me and my small business.

They seem to give my room to someone on higher prices. They were deliberately rejecting transactions on my card and made up story that my card is not working and therefore can't give me the room. I never come access such a situation where staff is unprofessional and deceiving the customer. I used the same card dame day for another booking with out any problem. I will strongly recommend that never ever book room with them.

The room was awesome and had everything we needed! Pet friendly!and clean! Close to all amenities shopping and local markets, has easy access to QE2 northbound as well as access to Red Deer without having to go back onto the QE2 would have liked a cleaner parking lot!

The location of this property is excellent, especially when participating in an event at the Westerner. Everything was good. My only reservation was that the sheets were not as soft as I prefer, but they did not impede my sleep.

Great motel at a reasonable price. It's close to the Westerner Park where I attended Horse Expo. The free breakfast is not much. They used to have eggs and suasage but now all you get is yogurt, fruit, bread, pastry and dry cerial. Eggs, sausage and bacon are served at other hotels we stay at.
