Very nice all inclusive. Food options could have been better, but was ok. Buffet wadms good. Pools were great. Very good customer service. Didn't care for excursions, very crowded tour buses. Beach access is nice, but there are a lot of people on the beach trying to sell stuff. One thing I didn't care for is that there are several things that you have to be a excellence member to utilize, which I didn't see on website.

Beautiful resort, friendly staff, perfect mix for those looking for quiet solitude or lively entertainment. Recently traveled with a group of friends. We spent the majority of our time near the large pool where there was daily music and activities, although we did enjoy our daily walks on the beach. There are people coming on to the beach area property trying too sell items or braid hair. A polite decline is all that is needed and they move along. The shows in the evening were just fine…nothing spectacular. The spa and sports lounge are in a definite need of an upgrade. They are both quite dated and have seen better days. The hotel lobby bar seemed to make the best cocktails. Be sure to bring lots of dollar bills for tipping all of the hard working staff. Will hope to be back again some day.

The hotel and its amenities is beautiful!!! We had a room with a private pool. The preferred club staff made us feel welcomed and taken cared. A few things we noticed: - ALL the pools and jacuzzis are cold: not heated. - There is 4 restaurant in the hotel in addition to the main buffet. The wait times for restaurants were very long if you don’t go extremely early when they open and when seated, from the time your order is taken to desert, your looking at probably 1.5 hours long. It seems that restaurants were probably operating at 50 percent capacity, since there were many tables opened. Make the buffet and room service your best friend :) - the food is very good and tasteful. - Not a lot of activities. After 9 pm, there was nothing really to do other than the 45 min show. - drinks are good with premium brands. - staff were friendly and helpful.

The beach access is nice. Water was beautiful and sunrise amazing. Jacuzzis in both main and Preferred area weren’t hot. Breakfast was basic along with food menus. The best restaurant was the Hibachi one you make reservations for. The couples massage was very good too. Although you get some credits to use on the resorts there are so many restrictions. So a little misleading. Unable to upgrade room for free even though rooms were available and I would NOT recommend paying for Preferred at this resort it isn’t worth it. I’ve stayed at Breathless in Cancun and stayed at Exhale because ever, this is suppose to be like a sister hotel and it was not that great.

I just got back from a five night stay at secrets royal beach. The staff and service was amazing. We upgraded to preferred club at check in, and had access to a few extra restaurants and pools. The room was luxurious and spacious, and the food was amazing. I am gluten free and every restaurant I went to had multiple options for me. The resort is definitely more relaxing and couples than partying which was to my personal preference, but if this is not your taste look elsewhere. I won’t give this resort a 5 star for 2 reasons. One being the restaurants do NOT take reservations and the wait times can be pretty long. We got totally denied from the steakhouse as we arrived at 745pm and had no more room for the remainder of the night. It was the first resort that did not take any sort of reservations and I did not enjoy that. The other part was being in the preferred club you get access to another pool. There is a sign that says you cannot reserve chairs before 8am. I got outside at 715am and all chairs were taken already. This rule seriously needs to be reinforced as I was upset I couldn’t even get a seat by the pool I paid extra money for. All in all this resort was luxurious and beautiful and I would definitely come back.

The property is beautiful. We stayed in a room with the private pool which was awesome. The customer service is excellent! The food was pretty good. This is more so a relaxing resort, which we loved. We visisted this resort for my boyfriend bdays. The staff made my boyfriend feel special for his bday. Customer service is awesome! What I did not like is the cleanliness of the rooms. The rooms could use a good deep cleaning. Overall we enjoyed ourselves

Quite a few cracked tiles, missing grout, stain on bathroom tiles, cracked caulking, hair from previous guests in bathroom and headboard, build up of paint and not thoroughly cleaned. I picked the base room. Cobwebs in the bathroom behind the door etc. the buffet and restaurants were great! Wonderful staff. The resort energy was hit or miss depending if there was any pool events or not.

The location was great. The pool, beach and dining choices were great. The check in part is the one that wasnt great. 1st thing, they wont check in anyone literally till 3P! I went and tried checking in at 246P and the front desk said, check in at 3P! The bathroom flush wont work and there were cockroaches and bugs in the room. I just didnt expect those things in the room. Otherwise, the restaurants, pool, beach and location are great. The people that are working in the bars, restaurants and pool were nicer and friendly than the people in the front desk.

The hotel was beautiful and has a great beach, nice pools and a friendly staff. We enjoyed in a ton. Our room was excellent. It was a bit noisy and it’s somewhat annoying to be at an all inclusive and then some areas and restaurants are not included, especially when they don’t look like they’re worth the upgrade. But a great hotel. Hope to be back soon.

I liked that we felt safe. The food was pretty good except the ice which was a little on the melted side. I guess freezers aren't cold enough. My biggest complaint is that the wifi is very low in speed. I clocked it at 16 to 18 mbps. So slow that the TV is useless. No way of watching TV. Not that we need it. But, while in bed we like to watch TV before falling asleep. If you depend on internet for work or other things. I recommend bringing your own form to access it. Other than those issues everything went well.

The property is beautiful, bit as soon as you get there they attempt to upgrade your room for a ridiculous amount of money. Then they want you to attend a 90 min membership sales pitch, and when you say No their entire attitude changes toward you. No attention to detail at the restaurants. This trip was exactly what I needed to disconnect and relax, and Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana was the perfect place to do it. I stayed for 4 nights, and from the moment I arrived, the service was top-notch. I was greeted with a refreshing towel and a glass of champagne, then taken to the exclusive Preferred Club check-in area. I always felt welcomed thanks to the friendliness of the staff. I especially want to highlight Alfredo my butler, who was incredibly attentive throughout my stay. He kept me updated on daily activities, restaurant hours, and quickly helped with anything I needed. I did notice a few small details that could be modernized in the room but everything worked just fine. The maintenance team cleaned the pool daily, which I really appreciated. Housekeeping staff were also very kind always asking if I needed anything. The property itself is beautiful and well kept. The overall vibe of the resort is perfect for relaxing it’s peaceful but still has activities available if you want to participate without feeling overwhelming. A highlight of my stay was the amazing service from María Nelly, who served drinks at the Showtime Bar during the nightly shows. She was always smiling, quick, and made everyone in her section feel welcome. You could tell she truly loves what she does. I also want to recognize Luis J. from the entertainment team he was always bringing great energy and positive vibes to every activity. Definitely the life of the party!

Arrived and waited over an hour for the front desk to claim they did not receive my reservation from Expedia. This was a Saturday arrival no one from reservations was availabile until Monday. I had to give the person a card to charge me again in order for us to have somewhere to stay. Food was average, sometimes terrible. Even though we supposedly was upgraded to preferred status, no one ever asked for the card. The drinks were horrible and they sometimes was out of alcohol of choice, instead of making the customer happy you had to just deal with it. Had one bartender that was awesome, his name was Olimer. Our room needed some TLC, wall outlets falling out of the wall and some major updates are needed. I expected more from a Secrets brand location. I would not want to return and will not be booking any of there properties in the future given my experience. I am not hard to please...this was just below expectations...seriously.

I traveled to Secrets Royal Beach for a family reunion. There were 11 of us and there were able to accommodate us at the various restaurants- thanks to the help of the butler, Marcos, who is assigned to us as part of the preferred package. I had a great time at the preferred pool bar thanks to the following staff members, who were very entertaining and attentive: Antonio Banderas, Arismendy, Rudy, Chyki, Aresnis, Rosa, Leydy, and Fania.

The property was gorgeous, the facility was very clean, despite being mostly outdoor. Most of the employees are friendly and helpful, however the pushing of add ons and upgrades was overwhelming. We were approached by 7 associates during our first 24 hours on the property asking us to upgrade our stay, add a romantic beach dinner, or a sales pitch breakfast. 9/10-would go back, but keep airpods in.

Overpriced spa options, lack of a full size mirror in the room, hotel wasnt able to accommodate a room with one bed w/o charging additional $1800, made experience slightly unpleasant. Too many individuals on the beach and in the property that harass patrons to make a sale or try to upgrade services that should be standard. Excursions were accessible and timely. The hotel needs to prioritize patron comfort and experience rather than seek out explicit profit at every angle.

Great for a quick weekend getaway with the husband. Very relaxing. Restaurants for dinner were fantastic and tons of entertainment and excursions close-by. Only issue is from the moment we stepped out of the airport, bombarded with sales people and even at the hotel they try to sell you every chance they get. It got very frustrating on the first day.

We enjoyed our stay with Secrets Royal Beach. We’ve stayed with Secrets a few times, but this was the first at this property. The hotel is close to the airport. The beach was beautiful, but it is public and you may have people try to sell you things. The staff was very friendly. Our favorite staff member was El Sexy at the grill close to the beach. Always friendly and welcoming. The overall room was good, but could use some touchups on paint and repair. It was not my favorite Secrets resort. The property can be confusing to get around, and accessing options around the property required a QR code scan to find out times, dress codes, and amenities. The food was good, and staff at the restaurants very friendly. We did not find the preferred club worth the extra money, but if butler service is your thing, this might be a great option for you.

The shows and the beach party were my most favorite things we did while we were there on our honeymoon.! The Hibachi and sushi were great and make sure you try the “Mango Tango” and “Blue Hawaii” Drinks they had me in a chokehold lol.! Cindy at the check in desk was so friendly and helpful, she even made sure we got a honeymoon breakfast delivered to our room on the day of our choice! All in all we had a great experience!

Overall, the quality of the food was underwhelming. With a few exceptions, most meals across the resort’s restaurants were bland.The resort emphasized quantity over quality. For example, the same red sauce was used across multiple dishes—from pasta and meatballs to nachos—leaving everything tasting equally flavorless and overly salty. In this case, less would have definitely been more. I would have much preferred a small glass of real juice over a large mug of watered-down concentrate. On a positive note, the eggs were excellent—fresh and well prepared.The “Bali” cabanas featured in the promotional photos are located at the so-called “quiet pool,” which comes with an added charge of $50 per day. Unfortunately, the quiet pool is anything but quiet for large parts of the day. It’s located too close to the party pool, where loud music plays on a loop, often repeating the same songs.Another issue was the flooring. The resort is covered with stone tiles and slabs—what appears to be travertine—which might look upscale, but proved to be dangerously slippery.
