I stayed here in April 2026, I really enjoyed my stay, the room was nice and clean, the AC and water pressure did not disappoint. The location was great, walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Over all I loved my stay and would stay here again next time I am in Guadalajara.

The room was exactly as pictured and very clean. Heads up; a key card has to go inside a slot on the wall close to the door to activate lights. The hotel was in the process of making lots of updates and renovations, which is good. Surprisingly, it was not at all disruptive. Future guests will enjoy a very clean, updated, modern, budget friendly hotel. Beautiful park right across the street. Lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. We felt safe and happy at Hotel Portobelo.
