The staff were very nice. Room size was fine. Bed was very uncomfortable. Shower was nice and hot with good pressure. There was no tea/coffee facilities or tissues in my room. There was a bottle of water supplied when you first arrive but this was not refilled. Quite a lot of the cable television stations were not working (both English & French), and the ones that were, stopped. Unfortunately the staff didn't know how to fix it. Location was excellent. A short walk to the Pantheon and Notre Dame. Bus stops and Metro stations close by. Also, I sent an email regarding laundry facilities, which was not answered. There is no laundry facilities at the hotel (although mentioned in amenities on Hotel.com) , however there is a laundromat about 5 min walk away. Also, a courtesy email regarding the road works out the front would have been appreciated.

I am a big fan of French theory. I like the rooms, the people, the coffee area. I highly recommend it. Location is near Luxembourg Gardens and the Sorbonne and when not under construction, the street is quiet.

Super convenient. Pleasant room facing the street. Fast, friendly, unfussy service. Nice vibe. As the name implies, the aesthetic is ”conceptual” (sparse, hard surfaces, black, white, mirrors), which also unfortunately means yoga mat but no shoehorn, but by and large it is done with intelligence, humour and little to cringe over. Nice to work from.

Booked a superior room - it was a comfortable size for a 6 night stay. Location was great for sightseeing, the hotel had a decent-sized elevator and a good cafe. The room was quiet and the queen bed was very comfortable. The room had all of the modern amenities (USB plugs, Bluetooth speaker etc) I had read some of the complaints about the bathroom and water spraying - the shower pressure is intense and the design doesn't quite keep all of the water in the tub, but it really wasn't a deal breaker for me. Just use an extra towel on the ground! Only complaint was that we had the fire alarm go off two nights in a row due to an issue with the heating system. The night staff handled it fine but some form of compensation for two nights of disrupted sleep would have been a nice touch.

French Theory is more than a hotel, really - and more of a concept, and an excellent one at that! The hotel is relatively small, but cosy, trendy, atmospheric, and incredibly inspirational for any creative soul. The café is small, but serves exquisite barista coffe and has a great kitchen as well. The small shop behind the reception has an inspirational selection of books, mags, and other nice, artsy stuff. The employees are the best; friendly, approachable, and ready to help finding new and interesting gems in the area or in Paris as such. And - there’s a music listening room in the cosy basement … next to the fully equipped recording studio! Highly recommended - also to the future me!

Stayed for 4 nights. Very nice hotel, modern with a quirkiness that is endearing. Has a coffee house that opened 24/7. Staffs are helpful and friendly, speak good English. Location is perfect. Minutes away from metro, straight to Gare du Nord or to CDG airport. Many attractions within walking distance: Norte Dame, Pantheon, Luxembourg Garden, Sombone university, Louvre, not to mention many eateries hidden amongst the Parisian buildings and alleys.

Fiquei mais de uma semana neste hotel, em diferentes quartos, e posso garantir que a experiência foi muito boa. Testei tanto o quarto de casal quanto o quarto para quatro pessoas. Os quartos de casal têm um bom espaço e um banheiro pequeno, como praticamente todos os hotéis em Paris. Já o quarto quádruplo é bem amplo, porém o banheiro é realmente pequeno demais. Ainda assim, no geral, ambos são ótimos: bem decorados, camas confortáveis e um chuveiro excelente. Apenas não possuem frigobar. O hotel tem um espaço de trabalho muito bom, que me ajudou bastante no home office, além de uma cafeteria, que é bem cara, mas quebra um galho quando precisamos de algo rápido. A decoração do hotel é linda, moderna, e eles ainda têm um estúdio de música, embora eu não tenha descoberto exatamente como funciona. A localização é excelente, com cafés, supermercados e transporte público ao redor. Fica praticamente ao lado do Jardim de Luxemburgo. A equipe foi muito simpática durante toda a estadia; em um momento percebi um olhar irônico entre dois funcionários quando pedi algo, mas preferi deixar passar porque provavelmente era só um dia ruim. No geral, recomendo bastante. Ótima estadia, ótimo custo benefício para Paris e um ambiente super confortável tanto para descansar quanto para trabalhar.

Le urge una renovación. El piso de las habitaciones se ve manchado y por el tipo de piso que es, no se sabe si está sucio o limpio. Habitación muy pequeña. El servicio de limpieza deja mucho que desear. Cuando llegamos había basura en la parte superior del clóset y, durante nuestra estancia, no retiraba los vasos sucios y no sabemos si en realidad limpiaban la habitación.

It locates in a convenient area. Close to Luxembourg RER station so you can get there from CDG directly. There’s a road construction going in from of the hotel but I didn’t hear any noise. Rooms are very small very typical in Paris. We got almost everything we needed in our room except hair conditioner. Tea kettle was there too. First room we stayed had a unpleasant smell like sewage or fungus in bathroom so we asked to change room and the hotel

French theory hotel is in a fantastic location for the RER B line and short walk to metro. We walked to the Louvre and Notre Dame and Catacombs. Felt safe always. We thought the beds were very comfortable, the A/C worked very well. Our only complaints were the rather sketchy WiFi and our shower leaked all over the place so a big puddle formed in the bathroom.

Great location and super friendly staff. Rooms were really clean and tastefully decorated. I read reviews that said the rooms were small but I felt they were a very reasonable size. The only issue I had was there was a lot of street noise which made sleeping hard. This came from both young students after a night of drinking but also from the hotel facilities unloading from a dock at night. I had to play a lot of white noise and let the TV run to help drown out the noise. Other than that it was a really great place, extremely helpful and friendly staff, and I’d definitely consider staying there again.

there's a vinyl player in the room which was neat. You could cast your phone to a projector, which was nice too. Other guests in the other rooms could cast to your projector too, and they did so often, since apparently all chromecast devices they had connected to each room's projector was having the same name. Bunk beds did not seem very safe. Bathroom was clean and water had good pressure. Area is like 10-15 minutes away from Notre Dame area, and about an hour away from Tour Eiffel, so i would say the location is OK. Very walkable. Overall a unique and interesting experience.

Quite a lot of the cable television stations were not working (both English & French), and the ones that were, stopped. Unfortunately the staff didn't know how to fix it. Location was excellent. A short walk to the Pantheon and Notre Dame. Bus stops and Metro stations close by. Also, I sent an email regarding laundry facilities, which was not answered. There is no laundry facilities at the hotel (although mentioned in amenities on Hotel.com) , however there is a laundromat about 5 min walk away. Also, a courtesy email regarding the road works out the front would have been appreciated.

There was a bottle of water supplied when you first arrive but this was not refilled. The room had two bunk beds, one of them was not well fixed tobthe wall, therefore, it was unstable. Even we asked the guy in they front desk since the first day to solve this issue, it remained the same during the 7 days we stayed there.

French theory hotel is in a fantastic location for the RER B line and short walk to metro. We walked to the Louvre and Notre Dame and Catacombs. Felt safe always. We thought the beds were very comfortable, the A/C worked very well. Our only complaints were the rather sketchy WiFi and our shower leaked all over the place so a big puddle formed in the bathroom.

Great location right next to Luxembourg Gardens. So nice to walk through the Gardens and relax in the evening to people watch and eat a meal/picnic. Close to a metro station. There was construction going on next door which created some noise im the morning and throughout the day. But we went out early to explore and didn’t really sit in the room much.

Helpful Staff. In my mind, the best rooms are on the upper floors facing Rue Cujas .. more light and air, and potentially quiteter! This hotel is conveniently situated near Luxembourg RER (6 min walk) for rapid transit to CDG. Central location is ideal for 3-7 day visit and for guests who do not plan to spend a lot of time in the smaller rooms.

I really like the vibe of this small hotel. It’s super convenient, unpretentious and friendly. You are steps away from the metro to go anywhere you want. Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens, Mouffetard St, Notre Dame are all within walking distance. And there are lots of restaurants, cafes, boulangeries all around. I love this place, I’ve been there before and I will go back!

Loved my stay at French Theory. I spent 3 nights here. The staff were very nice and super helpful. The hotel was super clean and modern. It was conveniently located. I would definitely stay there again on another visit to Paris and would recommend.

Great location, close to airport transfer RER B Luxembourg. Very nice area with plenty of cafés and restaurants, feels safe walking home at night. Saint Germain and Latin quarters are great places to explore, many of Paris sites in walking distance, Notre Dame, Louvren, Musée d’Orsay etc. Room was just what you need and what you can expect for the price. Didn’t have breakfast included, bc I really enjoy starting the day at the local cafés. 5 € for a coffee at hotel cafe area was expensive and not the best coffee. Room was not equipped with coffee/tea maker. I also missed some arrangements like a hook or something to hang your coat, handbag etc. Overall very happy and I would book again if the price is right.

It’s serviceable for a short stay. Rooms are tiny and although recently decorated, not very comfortable. Walls are very thin and you will hear your neighbors so bring noise canceling headphones. The restaurant/breakfast is not included and not very good. Walk a few block to find something better.

Good room. Operable windows. Fridge. Heater - you can adjust it. Water got on the floor when taking a shower. Housekeeping came daily. The fire alarm went off twice. Not sure why. It was going for awhile. Bed was comfortable. Good staff. Helpful. I appreciated that it was staffed 24/7 making it safer and it just made more sense. Location is elite. The street is sometimes closed so taxis have to stop at corner and you walk your luggage up or down. Quiet at night. Water was provided which was wonderful. Paris has good water. They are doing something different and intentional there. I hope the level of care continues.
