Breakers Resort Hotel

Beach could be seen perfectly. Pool and hot tub were nice.

Parking was terrible and room was okay. We were suppose to get an ocean view room but we couldn’t see anything but a building. Would suggest someone maintain the pool area, they ran out of towels fast and the pool areas was dirty.

We loved the water park and how many pools there were! There are a lot of lovely onsite amenities as well as the restaurants not far from the building we were staying in.

The pool area was nice and there's plenty of lounge chairs. The bathroom by the pool were cleaned every hour! Very nice location and super clean despite the high traffic of people.

Elevator in sailfish building was run down and quit on Thursday for at least 3 hours during supper hour. When my husband reported the breakage he was told that they had requested a repair and he would get his exercise (8 floor- he has a heart condition). Interesting that I mentioned this on check in and they said they never have been a problem with the elevators. However, I mentioned because I had read about the elevators being broken all the time. We had to get maintenance 2 times to fix our safe. They were really nice and professional. The room was really nice (couch was a pull out and uncomfortable to watch tv but we used towels and pillows to help) an excellent view of the ocean. The pools and property was very well maintained.

Beautiful oceanfront property! It was a very effortless stay, staff was helpful, dining options associated with the Breakers were nice and convenient. Only 2 knock I have is initial check in can be a little confusing only because the 3 buildings on the beach are split up due to a Marriot in between and parking is a bit spread out but still close to the resort. All and all Great stay!

Parking was terrible. Had to park so far and drag all our stuff. Too many cars in registration.

The property has multiple pool areas as well as dining options inside the building, beside the resort and across the street. We enjoyed being able to get drinks by the pool and the Starbucks right across the street. The DJ does a fantastic job with music and entertainment during the day. We stayed in the Paradise Tower which has very nice updated rooms. The three elevators are fast so you don't have to wait long for them. We will be staying here on our next visit.

We had roaches in our room

Room was old, but it could’ve been cleaner towels were nasty. The air didn’t work door didn’t close all the way elevator got stuck and elevator is definitely out of commission as far as two years, not being checked.

Room was very clean and properly stocked. Staff was great and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice getaway at the beach ⛱️

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at The Dunes. The property was in terrible condition and not worth the money paid. The pool faces the main street, so everyone walking or driving by can see you — zero privacy. The elevator area was dirty, the carpet was stained, the ice machine looked like it had mildew, and the elevator had a foul smell. The wallpaper was peeling, and the room numbers were clearly altered with whiteout (#3 was actually #8). The carpet on the floors was stained throughout, the stairwell was painted dark brown making it hard to see at night, and the rooms themselves smelled unpleasant. The bathroom was extremely small, and the air conditioner was loud. Overall, the property was poorly maintained and uncomfortable. I would never stay here again. For the price paid, this is unacceptable. I deserve a full refund.

The room had roaches

The whole room smelt moldy. We we reported it to the desk the same nigh. They said that they would send maintenance in the morning he came with cherry spray to spray carpeting That was it… they never offered another room or any kind of real solution. I ended up buying carpet fresh at Walmart to make our stay bearable.

We absolutely loved our stay at breakers! The rooms were roomy, and appreciated the towel service we got each day. We especially loved the access to all of the pools in the complex. The only opportunity I can see is the cleanliness of the pool area. During the day with so many people, by mid afternoon, the lazy river and hot tubs could have used a clean. Also, the carpet in our room could have used a good vacuum. Besides those two thing, I highly recommend the breakers!

Well, staying at the breakers was. The room had more than enough space. The bathroom was phenomenal. But there were a few problems. There were light switches that did not work. Also, the paradise building we stayed in. I wanna say it was paradise a Palms. The door remain unlocked 24 seven. Therefore it was not secure so anyone can come in the building and go to your floor. Also, the bed was horrible for sleeping in. It caused my back to hurt crazy. I slept most of my night, sitting up in the chair. But other than that, it was great. I just wished the restaurant had longer hours that was downstairs.

We stayed in the Paradise towers oceanfront queen suite. The room was very spacious and the view was beautiful. The front desk was very attentive whenever we needed something. The resort was in walkable distance from a lot of restaurants and shopping options, which was great, and there was also a restaurant within the Palm Tower area. I will be parking options and the different towers were a little confusing at first. There is another resort that separates the Towers form eachother, so if you're not paying attention you may end up in that resort by mistake. They did have lots of pool option which was wonderful, but most people with kids eneded up at the Paradise Towers which made it a little crowded at times and the pools get dirty faster. Overall a wonderful stay.

Paying for an ocean view that we had to view from the side of the building was unacceptable. We were never able to use the balcony because the sun never shines on the side of the building.

Hotel was clean and the guest service was nice. Hotel was short drive to airport and that was our reason to stay. The bathroom was clean and bright. The bad part was the bed was very hard and our neighbors were loud which we could hear them well through the walls.

When we checked in, we found out that our King Room with Spa was overbooked. Luckily, they upgraded us to a 3-bedroom suite in the Paradise Building, which included a Whirlpool in the Master bedroom. The room itself was incredible, beyond what we expected! However, we specifically booked The Breakers for the Whirlpool Jacuzzi experience, so it was really disappointing to discover that the jets hadn’t been properly cleaned. There were chunks of debris coming out, and it took me almost two hours to thoroughly clean the tub and jets before feeling comfortable enough to use it. I did reach out to ‘Ivy’ and shared photos, and while she offered to send housekeeping, I had already taken care of it by then. Just a heads up, during rain or busy times, the elevator and lobby floors can get really wet from swimmers. Overall though, we did enjoy our stay and will be back!

Guests should be warned of the amount of cars and trucks that race up and down with sport mufflers and loud music. It is constant. Even running a fan on high or keeping the TV on was not enough to cover it up. It sounded like the cars were reving up in the apartment next door. It didn’t stop until 2:45 AM

Great ocean view, but the balcony was tiny. The rooms are nice and good size, but feel very cramped.

There are many properties under Breaker and We stayed in sailfish one. The room was rennovated and very good view of ocean. Make sure if you want clear ocean view from room, room should be ocean front not ocean view. Ocean View only have partial view of ocean but ocean front is clear front view of ocean from room.

Check in was great, the lady that checked us in was great and offered other options, provided very detailed property information and answered all my questions. Room and pools were clean and stay was great.

Terrible staff. Never cleaned the room. Had to initiate all communication. Check in was awful. No reason to pay those rates and get that kind of service.

I made a 7 hour trip with a child to this property just to get there and be told that they didnt have my reservation. I showed him the emails to confirm that I did make the reservation. Then he said "Expedia keeps overbooking us. We dont have a room available for you. YOU will need to call them and let them know." Luckily it was February in a beach town and there was availability at other hotels. But I wasnt able to get the ocean front suite that I travelled 7 hours to enjoy. I book with Expedia often and have never had this experience. I fail to believe that this was an Expedia issue. As I was standing there at their desk being told I didnt have the room that I paid for panicking to find something else on my phone I saw that expedia still had the hotel listed with 3 rooms available. This is a big deal and needs to be fixed. Please call this hotel before you book through Expedia to confirm room availability. Ill never choose this hotel again. It is poorly ran and perhaps because of the ideal location on the beach, they dont care to improve the service. The front desk employee was kind and tried to keep me updated as he said his manager was trying to assign a canceled room to me. But the manager Brad came from the back and said they didnt have any rooms. Also parking to check in was confusing. There is a check in building with room for about 4 cars to stop and run in at a time. Other than that it seemed like you would have to pay to park just to check in. Never again

Cannot say enough good things about the way we were treated at the Breakers. It was a wonderful experience. The communication between the front desk and maintenance was amazing. Thank you!!

We have stayed here before and usually have a great experience. This time, it was a nightmare and we won’t be returning. After traveling for 13 hours and arriving at 1am, we were given a room that was already occupied. We had to walk back in the rain to the check-in, and wait again for the front desk to sort out a new room. The next room didn’t have blankets for the second bedroom or hand soap and we had to call maintenance to have the shower fixed. Very poor experience.

First room we were given had not been cleaned or made up. THe staff gave us another room and it turned out to be in a nicer location. Parking is not easy and is far away from rooms. But the room, the view and the location was amazing. I will be staying there in the future.

The check in process was terrible! Spent 45 minutes getting checked in

Room conditions were awful. Accidentally canceled One of my reservations and forced my employee to have to book a room at midnight because they didn't read the reservation right. Had to switch rooms in the middle of our stay and then didn't actually have a room ready for us. We were traveling with a 2-year-old and they suggested we sit in the hotel lobby across the street while he naps. Extremely rude customer service Jennifer, Gail and shivanda should be ashamed of themselves. I can unequivocally say stay anywhere else in Myrtle Beach and you will be happy including a cardboard box.

Property was nice with easy parking across the street with restaurants on the ground floor of the parking garage. Staff was very friendly, explained the amenities (pool hours, water slide access, etc.). Room was clean and safe, with toiletries well stocked.

The hotel would be wonderful if not surrounded by partying and homeless people on the streets. Also smelled like sewer outside of the hotel due to the manholes that are literally where you unload your luggage

I was really close to the beach which was great.

Just know that parking is like across the street and maybe a block or so away which made us leave some items in our cars since we didn't have a cart to tote items the block and a half. Security did help us find parking, which was nice due to our 1am check in.

Our stay was such a good experience. I have stayed at Breakers for years and having another visit with such good service was great! The grounds crew were working very hard and were very friendly. The service at the office was great as well. The breakfast at Papa's was good as always and the room was clean and neat when we arrived.

I liked the location, area and bar convenience.. I didn't like having to request items needed in my room several times. Also didn't like that the dining table was broken..

The property is an excellent option for families. The customer service was exceptional and the guest services were friendly. Papa’s restaurant had amazing breakfast! It’s a must try and the live music at Legend’s was nice. Overall another great spring break for the books. We enjoyed!

Staff, location and room were wonderful. The room was minimal on supplies this time and almost no cookware. Easy to get to all of our favorite places to see and eat. This was our 4th stay and we will continue to stay here when we come to Myrtle Beach.

Food was right outside of the resort

Starbucks next door was a huge plus ,the restaurant in hotel rusty reef was also very nice ! Front desk help was not very friendly
