Chrysalis Inn & Spa Bellingham, Curio Collection by Hilton

This is our favorite spot to stay when we visit Bellingham. The view from the room is spectacular. We enjoy walking to Fairhaven and Woods Coffee along the trail. The food from Keenan’s at the Pier hotel restaurant is also amazing and always delicious. We will definitely be back!

The rooms are large with high ceilings, soaking tubs, tile showers, free WiFi. Sits right on the water in Bellingham Bay with a long walkable pier and nice patio at the restaurant. Only down side is parking can be tricky during peak times. Better to get there early and park inside.

Would have liked to be informed ahead of time that the patio was closed due to a wedding ahead of stay so I could plan accordingly

We love returning to Fairhaven and Bellingham. This was our first time to the Chrysalis Inn and Spa and it won’t be our last. From the moment we entered the Inn we were greeted and felt welcomed. We received an upgraded room and both thoroughly enjoyed their spa. One of the best we’ve experienced. When in the area this is a true gem.

The Chrysalis was a great hotel and location as our family gathered for a wedding in July. The wedding was on the Schooner Zodiac which is docked near the Chrysalis. The hotel provided family dinner and brunch before and after the wedding. The setting for the meals was lovely - indoor as well as outdoor options for seating, with views of Bellingham Bay. The out of town guests were in awe of the beauty of the PNW.

Had a wonderful mid-week getaway with my wife for our anniversary. One regret was that we could only get 30-minute couples massages at the spa. I will have to book earlier next time. Very convenient to the charming Fairhaven area of Bellingham. Did have a problem with our living room TV. Could not access streaming services. TV in bedroom worked fine.

Great view and room. Great dining and loved the spa! Highly recommended. Customer service was top notch too!

Everything was very good. Restaurant was excellent with very nice waitstaff and lovely views.

Staff was very friendly and accomodating. The room was nicely appointed and comfortable. Dining options are good, but somewhat expensive. Dining on a small but ccomfortable deck area is available year 'round.

Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Nice quiet, safe neighborhood. Right by train tracks, but I slept through any noise it might have made. Bed could've been softer. Lovely walk along a pier/boardwalk right outside the hotel. Very clean and modern. Rather pricey, but everything in Fairhaven is over-priced.

It was beautiful waterfront property, immaculate, and very accommodating.

Check in was easy, everyone at the front desk was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the hotel and the area. Hotel was super clean.

At almost $400 a night I expected a very clean room but there was food splattered on the cabinet for the refrigerator and the bathroom mirror had splatters from the previous customer. No complimentary water bottles, hard mattress and peak a boo view. Dined in the restaurant for breakfast only to wait 20 minutes for the waitress to greet us and my food was stone cold. Would not recommend this property or restaurant

The staff were indifferent The room had soap drips and smudges on shower glass A couple surfaces in bathroom and main area that had not been cleaned sufficiently The room had disruptive noises through the day AND night Such as thumping, banging, rumbling Also there is a train that comes nearby again disrupting quiet and sleep. That is not mentioned on their website The bathrobes were worn and dingy The chairs, trim were worn and dinged The reading chair in room was not supportive The room rate is NOT worth the rate they charge

We've been visiting this hotel since 2011 and absolutely love it! It's a beautiful, comfortable hotel with views of the bay, and walkable to Fairhaven. The staff is always warm and accommodating, beds are comfortable, provided toiletries are good quality and smell nice, even the "partial" bay views have a pretty good view, the giant tub is a big bonus you won't find in most hotels, the sliding partitions for privacy are a really nice touch and you can keep them open to enjoy the view while relaxing in the tub. This specific room did not live up to their usual excellent standards, and I'm only including it here for the hotel's attention. The room we had (217) was listed as partial bay view, and as we've stayed in this room type many times, we were disappointed to find you can hardly see the bay at all, as a big tree obscured the whole view. Obviously the tree shouldn't be taken down, but the room shouldn't be listed and charged as a partial view. Not a big deal, we just would've chosen a different room. Also, the tub needed to be rinsed out several times before it could be used because of the cleaning product residue, there were blood stains on the sheets, and the throw pillows smelled a bit musty and like mildew. This was also the first time we remember hearing any noise (aside from the expected train), but we heard the people above us walking around, and every time a toilet was flushed, or water turned on in the rooms above and on either side of our room.

The hotel was amazing, the staff were all so kind and helpful, and made our stay! Room was very clean and felt safe.

This is a lovely property and staff excellent. But room is cluttered with nice things hindering movement. Pitiful bathroom stall. And high beds. Still beautiful view, good menu and nice location. Congrats to staff and management for doing superb job with what they have.

Room was very nice and beautiful views but for $500 a night and use of the jetted tub in the room, id hope to be able to use the jettet tub. Talked to manager and he offered another night in a soaker tub room for $400 a night!?! The staff told us that theres nothing they can do because we booked through Expedia. Im not done with this yet as im unhappy about the cost and the hotels lack of making it right. Oh and the hotel is also right above the BNSF railroad tracks. So hopefully you like loud noise and trains

I was very curious about this hotel since it's part of the Hilton Curio Collection. Unfortunately, I don't think it lives up to the brand name. Yes, the rooms have fireplaces, giant soaking tubs, and a quiet waterfront view. Other than that, the rest of the room, the check-in experience, dining/food, is all a very generic Hilton experience. Which is fine. Just not Curio standards in my opinion.

This is the third time we stayed at the Crysallis. It is a short distance from Seattle and a perfect place to stay on the water. The walking trail in front of the hotel is perfect if you want some exercise. We ate at the hotel for breakfast two days, lunch one day and dinner another day. Every meal was great. Our favorite place to hang out was sitting on the window seat looking out at the beautiful view. We will definitely stay here again.

Comfy king size bed, gas fireplace, large soaking tub with movable screens so you could enjoy the full bay view while soaking. Good breakfast and dinner through the on-site restaurant. Pet-friendly, though my dog stayed at home on this trip. Will definitely stay again.

What a beautiful hotel. It was situated between Bellingham & Fairhaven - we walked to Fairhaven town for their festival. We were there over Memorial Day holiday weekend. We also walked along the walking pathway and enjoyed evening sunset by the water. Our room was on 3rd floor and we had partial view of the water. Room was very comfortable. The bathroom was hugh, very big spacious space. There's also free parking for guests under building - this was a nice amenity, as street parking could be tight on the weekends. Would definitely return to this beautiful Inn.

Location was good. The views were amazing. The room was very nice except for the beds. The mattress was very uncomfortable. The train passes parallel to the property and is very loud. This morning it woke me up at 2 a.m.

This place is absolutely marvelous. One of our favorite resorts in the PNW. The room, the view, the bathtub that opens up to the room and view, the fireplace, the location in Fairhaven--everything about this place is top line. Stay here on your next visit to Bellingham.

My favorite hotel of all time. So relaxing and the staff and management is unbelievably stellar. Kayla and Seth were absolutely amazing with their care and customer service. There is no better place to stay in Bellingham or anywhere!!

Our children sent us flowers for our 50th anniversary. They arrived in the afternoon Sat. We were not notified by note that the flowers were at the front desk when we returned from shopping. Our son called us about the flowers. We had to call the front desk to ask about the flowers. Don't think we would have ever been notified they arrived by the front desk. Very poor communication.

The hotel and the staff were fantastic, unfortunately we did not sleep due to the train. Dinner was fantastic! Front desk staff were friendly and attentive!

The rooms are always clean and comfortable. My complaint is with customer service at the front desk and the outdoor patio service. I literally had to carry my champagne with bucket inside myself. Now I’m not lazy but I felt the staff should have offered. Also, patio staff unresponsive to needs of patrons. Our room was NOT ready for us so we waited for a call when ready and never heard from them. I finally went to front desk and inquired and told they called me. They did NOT. The one bright customer server was inside the bar was Emily. She saved our dining experience, was gracious and friendly as well as efficient.

Bellingham at Fairhaven section is the beautiful area.

Remarkable location on the water, easy access to piers and miles of waterfront paths. Deck area and staff are wonderful. Rooms beautiful.

This is a terrific lodging option for Bellingham; right on the water, right next to the very walkable Pier and Boulevard Park, close to Fairhaven, and the rooms and the restaurant are very nice. Trains go by at all hours, however, so be prepared for some noise!

The view from this property is amazing. Also, you can walk along the pier. This hotel's location can't be beat.

We stay at the Chrysalis every time we come to Bellingham and we always have a wonderful time. Great staff, lovely and quaint location walking distance to Fairhaven shopping and food. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

The rooms are super nice and the front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. I had a late check in (1 AM) and the young man was so kind. The food is amazing!

The hotel and suite were wonderful. The views from our room and the restaurant, especially during sunset couldn't be beat! The added touch of the earplugs in the room to combat the train noise was much appreciated. The restaurant was fantastic, the food and drinks were delicious and there was a good assortment to choose from. We ordered room service for breakfast and it was great. The portion sizes were great and the food was tasty. We cannot wait to come back.

This inn is beautiful, peaceful and comfortable. Service was impeccable. Keenan’s at the Pier restaurant on the property is excellent.

It's a nice hotel, but it might appeal more to an older crowd. Feels a bit like a retirement home rather than a modern hotel. Staff is friendly, location offers a beautiful view, but we found ourselves a bit bored. Didn't try the spa, so can't comment on that. It's located on the waterfront but near train tracks, so expect occasional noise. Rooms are well insulated though. Restaurant food is great, but service can be chaotic due to understaffing. Best choice if visiting Western University. Lovely park nearby. Room service available. It was a good/ok experience.

We got a suite overlooking the ocean. Beautiful view. Clean room. Nicely decorated hotel. Conveniently located next to the board walk. But the trains passing in front of the hotel around the clock simply made it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. Restaurant was convenient but food was mediocre. Parking was somewhat limited. EV charging was a huge plus.
