Lovely property! The roof top pool is beautiful! Staff was very friendly! We really enjoyed the quiet and relaxing vibes! Views from the spa are amazing - our two massages were the BEST! A bit disappointed in our room. We booked the master suite which had a fantastic view of the bay and city lights! Balcony was large and private. However an abandoned building completely blocked the bedroom view. The window looked out directly to a concrete wall! Since the master suite rooms are supposedly their best rooms, they should advise that not all of the Master Suite rooms have full views!

Perfection. The property, the brunch, the pools, the service, the view, the value---all outstanding. Excellent service at all points, never disappointing. Will arrange taxi pickup to/from PVR for you, upon request before arrival. MUST REQUEST, however. What I wish I knew: This property is not on the beach and requires a taxi for everything, as the area around the hotel is not walkable. There is no retail near here and no small store in the hotel, either. Taxi is $10-20 for most trips. No ATM on property. No wifi in common areas but good in your room. Fast room service. Elevators a little slow. Gym and Laundry are available. You'll love this place!!!! CHECK OUT THE BAND AT THE GIN BAR UPSTAIRS EACH NIGHT, EXCELLENT AND UNDER-PROMOTED.

Gorgeous hotel with beautiful views. Room was spacious and clean. My only complaint is that the rooftop pool closes at 5PM. It’s a beautiful place to watch the sunset but you are not allowed to use the pool to watch it. That was very disappointing.

Absolutely amazing. Will be staying at the Grand Miramar whenever we vacation in Puerto Vallarta. Great service, amazing pools, fantastic gym, excellent food, etc. etc.

Our room was nice. The staff is friendly. There are four pools at the hotel, but a day after our arrival the hotel starting ripping the tile off of the main pool and it is close to all but one of the other pools/jacuzzis. The sound of the drilling was unbearable and lasted all day. The food at the hotel wasn’t good. If you pay with cash be sure to take a photo of your paid receipt. I paid several charges with cash and they were still charged to the room. The spa was very nice and the gym on site is great. Our stay was disappointing, though, due to the pool work being done.

This property is absolutely beautiful. There are four pools, 3 on the lower level which is for all ages and a rooftop pool for adults 18 and older. The pools and pool areas are immaculately clean and well maintained. The rooms are large and well appointed. We had an issue with someone smoking in another room and it came through the vent to our room. We asked to be moved to another room, we were moved without issue and given a complimentary room upgrade. The staff were all friendly and attentive. The food was hit and miss, I had some great dishes namely the popcorn shrimp, the hamburger and the mahi mahi. However, my husband had a couple bad dishes the ciabatta picaña was thin and dry and the shrimp tacos were so so. The breakfast is really good they have traditional chilaquiles but also you can order omelettes and pancakes. Overall a truly fantastic experience - the views from the rooftop are spectacular!

The Grand Miramar is a beautiful hotel nestled in the quiet hills of Conchas Chinas. The daily breakfast was great, with a variety of both freshly prepared hot dishes and fresh fruit, juices and coffee. The concierge was very helpful, handling all of our questions and requests promptly. We enjoyed an afternoon at the spa, with lovely massage therapists and a relaxing sauna. The women’s steam room was not working, which was a bummer. My husband utilized the gym, so that was convenient. The location is beautiful and quiet, with expansive balcony views and beautiful sunsets. The reason I’m rating 4/5 is as follows. The service and food our first evening was not very good, but we felt the breakfast mostly made up for the lackluster evening experience. The pool service could use improvement, employees are not attentive in that area. The hot tub was more like a lukewarm bath and the pool was cold..and I know, the weather is typically hot..but the week we were there it was only 70F with a decent breeze, so a warmer hot tub would have been great. The option to adjust the temperature would have been wonderful. And lastly, this was a sleepy hotel on a sleepy hill. The hills are cobblestone which make for a very bumpy (albeit inexpensive) taxi to and from town, with no nightlife or food options within the immediate area. And truth be told, the facilities are not great enough to want to stay solely at the hotel. Now that I know this, I would prefer to stay closer to town.

The property itself was just like the pictures. Nice, clean and safe. The reason for the ratings, since our arrival, there was no hot water in our room. Followed by complete water shut off and no electricity, without notice. The elevator in our building never worked. The manager provided zero resolution to any of our concerns. The view is amazing, but there is nothing available within walking distance.

Toxic Chemicals smell thou out the place can escape it .i suggest they use Some not Toxic. CLEANERS AND AIR FRESNERS .

Lo único malo en mi opinión es que no hacen los cuartos si no lo solicitas, considero que si estas pagando por una habitación de hotel es para que te brinden el servicio, en caso contrario te vas a un airbnb

3rd stay and loved our first two times- not as much this visit- the property is cutting corners and housekeeping has really dropped off…No face towels after day 1, turndown never replaced towels, jacuzzi jets had filthy dirt in them which came out during bath, would bring decaf only coffee- alone nothing major- but when all the issues kept coming they added up to a 3 star housekeeping experience. Had a few maintenance issues in room that we had to report-bathroom door off track- curtains wand broken- shower gel pump broken (these are locked so when broken u have no shower gel). Service at lower pool area was awful- I asked for towels the pool attendant said follow me- he pointed to where the towels were- then told me where to return them- never offered to set up a lounger and just kept talking with a co-worker- very clear he was not there to help guests.. I am perplexed as to why the property sends a pre arrival questionnaire asking about items you want stocked in kitchen (costs apply) etc- I filled out and we arrived to nothing in the kitchen- nothing was sent the entire stay even after I emailed the concierge about it.. felt like everyone was doing the bare minimum to get by and no one went out of their way to make stay enjoyable- no one… maybe it’s the time of year (Holidays) but Grand Miramar has lost that magic touch it used to have- hope it returns but I doubt we will.

Mold, Food Poisoning, and a staff that won't help. This is what you'll get at Grand Miramar. We have stayed there many times and loved this property. It seems management is ruining the place. The Gym has major water damage that hasn't been mitigated. My wife and I both ended up with food poisoning from the breakfast. They lied and said they have never had a case of food poisoning. This is a lie b/c one of our friends had to be transported to the hospital last time we all stayed at Grand Miramar. They say the reason they know there is no mold is because people still use the gym. lol Yet. They have done zero to fix all all the visible water damage. So did the mold just fix it self behind a wall that hasn't been opened? Seriously Grand Miramar. You lost us on this trip. You offered zero concessions and didn't even apologize. Don't judge a company on how they handle everything when everything is good. Judge them on how they handle everything when things are bad. I sure hope they turn it around and change the management staff.

I think there was mold in the room. My allergies were out of control in the room but would clear up outside.

My room Got flooded with water, all of my property got damaged , they didn’t want to reimburse my money either! And they also went into our room and searched all of our private belongings while we left the hotel to go eat dinner.. never coming back here again!!!

Very pleased with this property high in the hills of Conchas Chinas. PV easily accessible by taxi in 5-6 minutes. This property was very comfortable with exquisite views. The “Master Suite” was amazing and we enjoyed the privacy of the balcony jacuzzi each evening. Food was excellent and the included breakfast was an amazing buffet and made to order selections. Hospitality overall was outstanding. The afternoon the AC went out was the only glitch and not the hotels fault but a city power issue. The generators came on and lights and Elevators worked. The power resumed about 2 AM. The only suggestion I Would have is the hotel could have kept the guests informed with a written communication so We knew what was happening. Even with this minor inconvenience I Would highly recommend this property and we will be back. The concierge Antonio and the tour desk staff are fabulous. Big kudos to them! Thank you Grand Miramar!

We stayed in the Grand Junior Suite and the views were incredible! The room was spacious and spotless. The hotel was quiet and very nice. Transportation to town was easy and cabs were always available. The staff was always available and accommodating. They could use a few more lounges and umbrellas around the pool. Breakfast was different everyday and tasty. Since the hotel was not walking distance to anything it would have been nice to have a little snack area to get items like chips, power bars, sodas, chap stick, etc. to take to the room. If you didn't get it in town, you didn't have it! Otherwise it was a delightful stay.

This is the highest point in the PV area, and the views are outstanding because of that. The suites are large, beds terrific, and the units are self-contained, with kitchenettes, and we stayed in one of the smaller ones. The many pool areas and lounging areas give you many options for relaxing in the sun/shade. The spa is terrific, we had a great experience there. Cheers.

Beautiful property with incredible views. The rooms aren’t soundproofed though. I could hear people above me and outside the room all night.

Had a great time. Wonderfully spacious rooms, friendly staff, quiet at night. Lots of available chairs by the pools. Easy access to restaurants, beaches and entertainment by quick uber/taxi ride. Highly recommend.

The staff were amazing! they were all super helpful from the start. Check In was a breeze they give you complimentary water and a fresh aroma therapy towel to cool yourself off with while you wait to check in, we arrived early so we got to stop by the rooftop bar and see the beautiful overlook of Zona Romantica. The room was beautiful and huge! More space than we needed honestly lol but we loved it. Felt luxurious. I was very impressed. I have attached a picture of the view and my shoes because I was sad to say goodbye to this place and sad to see my fav shoes go because of the rain and waking in the floods out in the city, but you can see the view from our room. :)

Amazing vista views, large rooms and not far with an Uber ride to PV. Will be back for sure. Restaurant on top floor was great for sunsets.

Fabulous stay at Grand Miramar. The property is stunning. Staff, amazing. We will definitely be back as this is the only place we will stay when in PV.

This was our sixth visit to Grand Miraramar and I have to say had it been my first, I would NEVER GO BACK. First of all, my check in took over 40 minutes. I arrived just after a group of about 30 people arrived and I get it, but the hotel should have been prepared with more staff and or implement a different process that will move groups as fast as possible and all other guests separately. Two people handling this many guests at one time and answering the phones was just not an ideal situation. I have NEVER had to wait 40 minutes for a check in. We arrived in our room and one of the beds had long hair from a previous guest so that also was not ideal. We stepped out and then when we came back to the room, our keys would not work. We had a friend who had the same issue. However, it took the hotel over an hour to fix her room. She was never offered another room until we asked for it. She ended up staying in our room while the issue got resolved. If she didnt know us, she would have been waiting in the lobby for an hour. Totally unacceptable. In terms of the cleanilness of our room, what the Manager on Duty should have done is offered Housekeeping to go up and change the bed and that was never done until we asked for it. I feel like the Manager on Duty, Martin, was very junior and lacked experience. Our friend was finally moved to another room and so were we. On our final day, the fire alarm went off in our room because of a bad battery. Thank god it wasnt 2 a.m

My girlfriend arrived at the hotel one day before I did. Although I had already made the deposit online, the hotel staff insisted that no deposit had been made and refused to let her check in unless she paid it herself. She had to call me multiple times so I could speak with the manager and try to resolve the issue, which was incredibly frustrating. When I arrived the next day, the situation got worse. I had booked the largest suite the hotel offered, but the manager told me I couldn’t stay there because the room only allowed three guests. I asked if I could just pay for an extra person, but he insisted I had to book a completely separate room—even though I was willing to pay the difference. It made no sense, but I had no choice. To top it all off, when we were checking out, the bell boys rushed us out of the room, didn’t help with our luggage, and escorted us to the lobby as if we were criminals. It was a humiliating and disappointing experience from start to finish. I will never stay at this hotel again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Llamé a recepción para ver si me podían abrir el gimnasio a las 6am pues al hacer check in me confirmaron que abrían desde las 6am... Groseramente el gerente en turno me indicó que era hasta las 7... y cuando baje a las 7am ya habían personas entrenando... Pasaron por mí del trabajo y un taxista empezó a amedrentar a mi copmpañero de trabajo diciendo que no se iba a llevar a nadie del hotel (El equipo de seguridad no hizo nada) Es muy molesto entrar y salir, que pases enfrente de seguridad y ya que vas por el lobby te griten que de que habitación eres.

Stayed here for a second year in a row. First year experience was excellent that is why not only we returned but came back with much bigger group. Unfortuatley there were unauthorized charges on last day in our card which we tried resolving with management but went by unresolved. We followed up by email after our return looking for explanation alomst now a month later and no word from this hotel. I hesitated to write the review waiting for a response from them but have not heard a word. This is unacceptable and legally wrong. Very disappointed and will not return nor recommend longer. Staff throught out the property for the most part is incrediably pleasent and nice.

The breakfast buffet is delicious. I’d go back in a heartbeat. The only caveat is that getting into town requires a car trip, and the dinner restaurant doesn’t serve Mexican food, which is what I wanted. Once I got used to the trip I didn’t mind much — I could always get a taxi or uber quickly and the cost is minimal. And without being on top of the hill, they wouldn’t have those views!

The daily breakfast was great with an American style breakfast with pancakes and sausage and daily Mexican breakfast that changed daily. They even had an omelet custom made if you ask for it. Coffee was always good and great service. We had such a relaxing time at Grand Miramar. I would say the only thing about the property that we didn't like was that it was up the hill from the beach so it wasn't really walkable around the hotel and required taxis every time. But for that view...it was worth it. Our view was full panoramic seeing from Los Arcos to Nuevo Vallarta. Amazing sunsets! 5 stars across the board! Thank you Grand Miramar! We hope to be back again soon!!!

The property is lovely. There is a great breeze near the pool area which keeps things at a lovely temperature. Most of the staff is incredible with the exception of Serafin at the front desk. During check in, he was rude and dismissive. I thought perhaps it was simply an off day which we all have. However, at check out it happened again and I realized this was just him. While I stood there with no one else around, he shuffled papers and acted busy. It made me late for my flight. As a person who has traveled far and wide, this property would do well to advise him that his job is customer service which he fails miserably at. The worst part about it was that the young man working beside him adopted the same attitude towards me as well and stood there while I was waiting to be checked out. Grand Miramar does so many things right with every other person but Serafin made me want to give this place one star; however, that would be a shame to the remaining hard workers who strove for excellent customer service including the young lady who works at the front desk. The rest of the front desk crew could learn a lesson or two from her and the rest of the hotel employees.

This property is the highest quality I’ve seen. It’s located on the highest point of PV. The views and suites are amazing. The staff is world class and the best I’ve seen through all my travels. I transferred to this resort from another location. Expedia arranged the transfer. Excellent customer service. I will be back to this resort and I am looking to possibly invest in their available new property nearby. I can’t stress enough that you need to go to the Grand Miramar!! The Grand Miramar is a beautiful hotel located very high in the hills. It is spotless, and the housekeeping staff, and the bellboy, concierge are all excellent. You are left to your own devices at the pool to even get anybody’s attention for any drinks or meals. The most difficult part of the accommodation is that it’s really not walkable to town and it takes about a seven minute drive by Uber or taxi to get anywhere close to the town.

The property is located up a steep hill, so taxis are required to move around as there is nothing around the hotel. Breakfast and food quality were generally limited and basic. I found it interesting that they charge for water bottles and coffees such as espresso and that that is not included as part of breakfast. Staff are friendly. The overall design is outdated. Very limited sun beds to use. Also to note that it is not an adults only hotel as previously advertised when we booked.

Beautiful views! Up in the hills so you must have a car or get ready to pay for transportation into town

The Zona Romántica is a short drive by taxi down the hill but this lovely property sits at the summit, well above all the hustle, bustle and NOISE! The views from the rooms over the Bahía de Banderas are spectacular.

This was one of the best hotel experiences I have had. The facility is one highest locations in the area. From that vantage point you dine or have cocktails from an unforgettable setting. The staff is friendly and are unrelenting in their efforts to make your stay truly memorable. They arranged taxis, airport connections, in room dining. The location is a very short ride up the hill which gives privacy yet access to the romantica area for a $5-$7 Uber or taxi ride. They even changed small amounts of money to local currency.

Excellent price value for a hotel with comfortable rooms, pretty pool area and breathtaking views. Breakfast buffet was also very good. Great choice for a Vallarta getaway with easy access to town without the traffic and noise. Having a car is useful as the hotel is up a hill not in a walkable area, but worth it for the views.

Food and beverage manager should be fired. Breakfast buffet was fine but all other F&B was below standard for a hotel of this caliber

I was charged an extra resort fee per day which I was not aware of prior. The 1 restaurant is good although menu is limited and expensive. Drinks from the bar not very tasty and also expensive. The spa services were excellent.

Very peaceful and quiet place, service is wonderful! All were attentive and friendly. Best thing about this hotel are the incredible views and the breakfast buffet! Beach is close by going downhill around 20 mins, but if you don’t like walking uphill you might want to take a taxi (I suggest Uber, price is better and they always have the AC on). Food was very good inside the hotel and fairly priced, but if you’re looking for more dining options, downtown is 15-20 minutes away from a taxi ride. I really loved this place and the staff! Jorge, Edgar, Serafín and Luis made our stay an unforgettable experience. We hope to come back soon!

The good - this is a beautiful property The less good - it is not inexpensive which was our choice, but there are extras to be aware of - the additional resort fee, the expectation of tips at every turn, the taxi fees up and down the 'mountain'. When we dined in our food was mostly good but we did have one very poorly managed meal for 4 that was notable enough that we brought to the attention of the management. the ugly - 2 small 250 ml bottles of water included per day. And you're in a remote place remember. We taxi'd up an down the hill (avg $18/day depending on driver) to buy 5Lcontainers of water to drink.

Good view and good food with a good price campare than Malecon area restaurants. It was really nice.

This property has a gorgeous view. The room I had was equipped with a refrigerator, stove, and microwave. It is fairly quiet. It is not on a beach nor near walkable beach. You will need to taxi or Uber everywhere. There are limited food options on site. I had Uber Eats deliver groceries from a nearby grocery store. No shopping nearby. It is located in an upper scale neighborhood high on a hill. I’m The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is great! I only ate dinner there one time and it was very good. They bring one packet of coffee, one bottle of water, and one little box of chocolates every day. Felt like a safe area. The staff track the license plates of every taxi and Uber.
