What a charming and beautiful place!! It's literally across the street from the public beach and a short walk from the down town. The only problem was that the BnB was so nice I felt guilty leaving. We just wanted to lay in the sunroom reading and napping all day. The service was great! The owner was prompt to answer the phone and provided breakfast daily despite her son being in the ICU fighting for his life. That goes above and beyond for service to me and I would 10/10 stay again.

Probably ok to stay here if needed, but would not recommend; has the feel of a large Air BnB rather than the personal touch of a good bed and breakfast/inn. Room was clean, mattress was firm. Property fairly well maintained, but somewhat overgrown. Easy parking. Comfortable sitting area in/near room. Most disappointing was staff interaction who consistently made us feel that we were an imposition. For example, guests are required to call to check in; this is done over the phone with no in-person presence. Likewise after sitting down for breakfast, we were “reminded” that we had to walk to the kitchen to place our order.

The bed was very comfortable! We liked how close the b&b was to the beach. The breakfasts were good, and it was nice that there was a fridge with water available. There was also a nice little deli very close by that had ice cream and sandwiches. Things we didn't like as much: there was noise from the road, the rose window allowed a lot of light in in the morning, and the toilet was difficult to flush. Overall we liked this b&b.

Yelton manor is beautiful. The bedrooms are spacious and has cute little nooks with seating and so much reading material and some board games. The issues are that the landscaping has clearly been neglected for quite some time. What appears to be seating areas are overgrown and unable to get too. Weeds and overgrowth hinder the beauty of the location. Walking in to the Manor is a smell of old dust. A nice deep cleaning is warranted. Was the place nice, absolutely. Just needed some extra care in a few areas. For the price you pay it shouldnt smell dusty and the landscaping be full of weeds.

This was a fantastic historic home to stay at. It was clean, private and the breakfast was excellent every day. One of the best reasons to stay here is the beach access. The hotel is less than 100 feet from the parking lot of Dyckman Beach - a public beach. So easy to walk to each day! We wish the hotel had an ice machine and a microwave for guests.

Close to the beach and downtown. Will stay here again. Only minor thing was no access to ice nor a freezer but it is a B&B. Breakfast was convenient and good. Everyone we interacted with were great. Convenience store is near property. We heard another couples concern that their room was dark and chilly in the main house. We chose the Biltmore room in the guest house and it was great.

Very nice amenities. Really love the proximity to the beach (quiet and peaceful). The Guest house is so cozy and elegant at the same time. The Manor house has so many books and crannies to relax with a good book.

It’s an obvious location and home that would be perfect for anyone.. but I think windows should be cleaned along with surfaces in both houses. The room where we slept was very clean. Other then that observation, the place was a perfect get away weekend.

We had a very nice stay at Yelton. The room was very clean and the breakfast and amenities were amazing. Victoria greeted us and was an outstanding host. Yelton is within walking distance of everything and is a very relaxing place if you want to stay in.

The Manor is lovely and so close to public beaches on the lake. It’s very comfortable and had sweet little nooks to sit and read or have a quiet moment. Victoria is a wonderful host and keeps the in spotless and running smoothly all the time!

We happened to be the only guests staying there mid week. The property was safe, quiet, and extremely clean. The breakfast was prepared every morning were gourmet. The only negative was the shower was a little small and the temperature was difficult to regulate. Loved that it was right across the street from the lake.

The location, location, location was perfect for walking to the beach(es) and accessing South Haven's many cute shops and restaurants. The room was well appointed with quality towels and linens; the bathroom was spacious and offered a tub/shower. Parking was convenient and the place was spotless. Breakfast choices were tasty and all vegetarian friendly (no meat offered). There was free bottled water, coffee, tea available all day. The staff was very thorough in their instructions and clear about the expectations / consequences of specific instances (clearly they had individuals who took advantage to create visitor restrictions). Everyone was courteous but not super friendly. We would recommend adding a shield to the porch light to reduce the amount of light coming into the Samson room or adding room darkening shades.

Great stay. B&B is literally located across the street from Lake Michigan. Our stay was in October, so not beach weather, but that in no way diminished our enjoyment of the cozy room and great location. Easy to walk to shopping and restaurants in downtown South Haven (but if it's cold and rainy, maybe just drive 😉).

Nice place but if you come in the Spring do not expect anything that they boast on their website. There was no breakfast. Not even coffee. We went down to the kitchen at 8:30 (breakfast is supposed to be from 8-10) and there was no staff around at all. The same 2 muffins and bananas sat out in the foyer for the whole three days we were there… The only staff we saw during our entire three day trip was a maintenance man. No daily brownies or any of that.

Great place, great location, very friendly staff. The only down side is that there is no meat with any of the breakfast options. A little bacon or sausage to go with our eggs would be nice for those of us on a low carb diet. P.S., I threw my low carb diet out the window for a couple of days and enjoyed the delicious french toast.
