Rooms and all areas clean. Amenities ok. Staff, not ver nice. Very discriminative for people with prime privilege membership ( nicer ) than a regular travel. Impatients to give instructions. Some people were nice, but the mayority not. Most of the restaurants closed at the same time. Japanese restaurant not so good. Very loud. Servers in the big buffet restaurant El Carey, not pending to clean tables, either to serving and refilling coffee. Same in the beach restaurant. The entertainment like bowling, billiard tables, archery and ball shots, just open after 5pm and 7pm respectevely. The coffee shop, serves good expresso coffee and cakes. I probably will not come back to this resort.

The property is big so we did have to walk quite a bit to dinners. They had shuttles come around but they were never there when we needed them. This resort is so close to perfect with one glaring exception - the food. Very few items on the buffets or in the restaurants were served anywhere near hot, and the last thing you want is tummy problems from a seafood stew not kept at a safe temperature (and at the pool, I heard numerous guests mention a partner in the room sick or being sick themselves). The food itself was varied, but very average to bland and there wasn't enough fresh seafood on offer. Pizza and pasta were present for the kids at every meal, and the buffets had theme nights but good, fresh seafood was sadly lacking. The air-conditioned spaces were cool and comfortable, but the larger open areas would benefit from overhead fans to move the air. The bars were numerous and the frozen drinks were plentiful and varied. The pools were amazing and so large that guests could use floaties. The beach was great with fabulous cabanas for the Privelege Club guests. I'd definitely recommend going for the Privelege option - better lounge chairs, and a food and drink service both on the beach and by the pool. There were life guards and security on the beach and at the pool. Our "suite" was nice but nothing different than any normal hotel room. Did I have a great time? Yes. Did I avoid eating things I wanted to because of food safety questions? Yes. Would I go back? I don't know. I can get over uninspired tasting food, but jeez, I don't know where the kitchens were, but from the food temps, offsite would be my guess.

Staff was very rude and unfriendly. Drinks at all bars were mediocre, even when bar was empty. Very limited choice for dining, mainly because the restaurants open ~3/7 days a week, which forces you to make some choices for which restaurant to visit. It is also a hassle to make reservations because they open on the same day at 7:30am. If you do not catch a reservation at 7:30, you will likely not fit a large party into the restaurant because it will be full. The restaurant food was good, but it does not compete with other hotels in the same price range when it comes to quality and availability. The spa and sauna were closed when we went, which coincidentally was one of the things we were looking forward to the most. Bad luck I guess. Supposed renovations, but there was no work being done, so I suspect they just close it during the off season. Entertainment was 0-none. Overall it’s okay as a mediocre DR experience, but you can get so much better for the same price range. I wish I would’ve done some more research.

Pros: The resort is constantly being cleaned, and the staff are very polite. The girl serving ice cream is the best! The coffee shop was one of our favorite spots — great selection and delicious options. Cons: We booked a room with a pool view; however, because one pool was closed for renovation, our view was mostly of construction. We asked to move to another room for that reason. Due to the pool closure, the main pool was often crowded, and it was difficult to find available seats. The beach is amazing; however, one day they were fixing the swim buoys and closed the beach for the entire day — we couldn’t swim at all. They also don’t have a plan for rainy days. Most activities happen around the pool, so if it rains, the only entertainment is at night. During the day, there’s basically nothing to do. We were there for two rainy days with no kids and had no organized activities available. You can play pool or tennis in the family lounge, but that’s about it. The staff also weren’t very proactive in encouraging guests to join activities — for example, the 10 AM daily stretching never happened once during the week. We will try another resort next time.

They get a 5 star rating because of their staff. Jose M and Martire at the overtime bar Yuli the Barbie with the entertainment staff Kelvin, Javier, Santiago, Teresa, Diosa and all the bartenders at the lobby bar. Plinio with the rides at night Them and more made my stay great. Im dissapointed no one mentioned that the pool would be under construction. Other than that it was a great experience.

Room clean. Smell humidity. The staff apply a dehumidifier filter and it got a little better. Air conditioner fan too loud on that room. Staff stated that the fan was replaced but it seems that the issue is still there. I did not sleep well. All staff are great. Some restaurants were closed. Not too many options to eat. One pool was closed. Over all the staff was great.

Spacious room with good air conditioning. Hotel grounds kept immaculate and staff very smart. Bathroom room door did not shut as the door was larger than the frame - nothing major but not what you would expect from a 5* not many coat hangers - asked room service for more but all requests ignored. Restaurant staff very hit and miss re service and professionalism. Food in restaurants was adequate - not 5* and the restaurants themselves lacked ambience - very loud, bright lighting and felt more like a canteen than a restaurant. If you are hoping for any romantic or quiet meal then you will be disappointed. We only had one course in the Mexican as the noise levels made talking impossible.

Arriving to room directly in front of pool under construction, such an eye sore. Refrigerator wasn’t working, everything inside was hot, so I requested another room close to the operating pool (2 pools) to find out those are for the Premium guests. It’s my birthday weekend, if I had of the construction to the pool, I would’ve chosen another hotel. I chose that room for the pool view, my pool view is an eyesore. Staff was as accommodating as they could be, by changing my room the next day, closer to the end of the building. Since one of the pools was closed, the premium guests were looking at you like you’re breaking the rules. We all wore colored bracelets, it was a very unpleasant feeling for us, when you’re just trying to enjoy the pool.

Title: Poor Communication and Disappointing Experience We stayed at this resort on October 25 to celebrate my son’s 21st birthday, but sadly, it was a very disappointing experience. The restaurants weren’t open every day, and they rotated schedules — some were open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, while others only on Tuesday and Thursday. Nobody mentioned this at check-in, so we kept showing up to closed restaurants. The communication was terrible, and it really affected our plans. The buffet didn’t have much to choose from, and the quality was average at best. It rained most of the week, and water kept coming into our room under the door. When we complained, the staff said they couldn’t control the weather and never fixed the issue. The front desk staff were rude and unhelpful. Then, at checkout, they suddenly said there were stains on the mattress and charged us $150. This was brought up at the very last minute, so we couldn’t even see it or know if it could have been cleaned. The charge felt unfair and left a bad impression. We were a group of ten people with five rooms total, and even making dinner reservations together was a struggle. We’ve been to Punta Cana many times and always enjoyed our stays, but this time was a major disappointment. Unfortunately, it didn’t feel like we spent our money in the right place.

We stayed at the ocean blue and sands for the first time, looking for the smaller resort. We were very pleased with our stay and will return. The food was great, the drinks were great, the room was clean when we arrived and cleaned daily. The only thing I didn’t like was the sales team harassing us daily. Waiting outside of breakfast area. After I told them we were there to relax and I didn’t want to be bothered. That was the only downfall to the whole vacation. Other than that it was a great place and I would recommend it to anybody.

Los restaurantes con un servicio muy bueno pero la calidad y variedad de la comida en el buffet fue muy pobre en almuerzo y comida. Desayuno excelente. Villa Marina fue terrible todas las veces q la visitamos. Equipo de animación activo y entretenido. En general disfrutamos las vacaciones y nos sentimos bien atendidos. For starters, the bathroom door didn’t even close. Also the AC was malfunctioning in the room. We told staff and they ignored us. The first day they upgraded us to a different room, which also had some plumbing issues. Staff was not nice or pleasant to assist us and when we spoke to the supervisor, Nelson, he showed no empathy for our situation. We will never stay at this hotel again nor would we recommend it.

Overall it was a good experience. The seven $10 vouchers I received were essentially worthless, as you could only use a maximum of $20 toward the ridiculously overpriced products or services. The food options were good, but the dinner reservation process for a couple of the restaurants—where reservations were mandatory—was not great. The only way to make a reservation was through their website on the same day, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. I tried at 7:10 a.m., and it was already full. Also, the service at the buffet was not very efficient; I had to wait around 10 minutes just to get water.

It was excellent overall! The only thing we didn’t like was the first morning — they arranged a ‘breakfast’ with a staff member who tried to sell us their ‘Privilege’ status. Even though the person was very kind and friendly, it made us uncomfortable because we had to spend a lot of time on something sales-related during our family vacation. Other than that, everything was great: the resort was very clean, the staff was extremely friendly, and the environment was awesome, especially for families. There was even a flamingo and some cats on the property, which we really enjoyed! The food was okay—not bad, but not outstanding either.

This property was ideal in its layout and proximity to the beach. However the beach was not what I was looking for in-terms of pristine condition due to excessive sea weed,no fault to the hotel. The distance from most of the rooms to the restaurants could be a bit far but doable for most. I enjoyed the quietness and peace I felt during my stay. They could improve on their entertainment when compared to other resorts I have stayed at, overall the food options were decent and there was a variety to choose from. There is a good balance when it comes to family activities. Overall a decent resort and would recommend.

Pleasantly surprised by this last minute, very budget friendly vacation. Beautiful, clean and spacious room, lots of restaurants to choose from, and no reservations needed. There were 2 restaurants that required reservations, but you can easily do that via an app. The beach and pool were very nice and there were plenty of bars. Food was really good! Close to the airport. Overall 10/10.

The resort is keep very clean, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I specifically love the attention me and my family got by Alvin at the buffet restaurant. He was just great. The food overall was actually pretty good with alot of variety. The only complaint is the beach which was full of algae due to the season. Although the hotel staff did their best to clean it out. Overall, I would highly recommend the resort.

The property was great and the grounds were well kept. The beach was pretty and they cleaned the sargassum every morning. The main buffet had a lot of options and the food was pretty good. This was our favorite place to eat. The Japanese restaurant was also good. The room was clean but it took us 3 days of asking many times and different people a day if we could have sheets for the pull out couch. They always said yes, but then we would never receive any. Our biggest complaint was the A/C. We called every day about the AC, not working. The coolest our room ever got was around 73 degrees at about 3am. The rest of the time it stayed between 78 and 82.The bathroom was even hotter. They would respond that they would fix it and that is the best I ever got throughout the whole 6 day stay.

The air-conditioned spaces were cool and comfortable, but the larger open areas would benefit from overhead fans to move the air. The bars were numerous and the frozen drinks were plentiful and varied. The pools were amazing and so large that guests could use floaties. The beach was great with fabulous cabanas for the Privelege Club guests. I'd definitely recommend going for the Privelege option - better lounge chairs, and a food and drink service both on the beach and by the pool. There were life guards and security on the beach and at the pool. Our "suite" was nice but nothing different than any normal hotel room. Did I have a great time? Yes. Did I avoid eating things I wanted to because of food safety questions? Yes. Would I go back? I don't know. I can get over uninspired tasting food, but jeez, I don't know where the kitchens were, but from the food temps, offsite would be my guess.

We stayed for 10 days. CONS - Its a older hotel had one of the 2 pools completely closed off for repairs, Only about 1-2 restaurants open per night due to “offseason” , the food at the restaurant and the buffet were honestly bad - the buffet never changed up their food it was same things every single day. limited entertainment like shows maybe had about 3 shows in the time we were there and 2 of them were the exact same show. PROS pretty clean rooms and room service did a good job every day cleaning up, giving new towels and providing more waterbottles. Beach was nice and upkept daily with the seagrassum coming in.

The property was beautiful and the staff 100% friendly. The only thing we did not like was the fact that, there were 7 restaurants and only two restaurants were opened during the day. The rest opened after 6pm and not all 7 some opened certain days. Two of the high end restaurants, you could only come in with reservation and only had a slot of 15 minutes early in the morning (7am - 7:15am) to request it. Other than that, everything was excellent.

Overall it was a good experience. The seven $10 vouchers I received were essentially worthless, as you could only use a maximum of $20 toward the ridiculously overpriced products or services. The food options were good, but the dinner reservation process for a couple of the restaurants—where reservations were mandatory—was not great. The only way to make a reservation was through their website on the same day, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. I tried at 7:10 a.m., and it was already full. Also, the service at the buffet was not very efficient; I had to wait around 10 minutes just to get water.

It was excellent overall! The only thing we didn’t like was the first morning — they arranged a ‘breakfast’ with a staff member who tried to sell us their ‘Privilege’ status. Even though the person was very kind and friendly, it made us uncomfortable because we had to spend a lot of time on something sales-related during our family vacation. Other than that, everything was great: the resort was very clean, the staff was extremely friendly, and the environment was awesome, especially for families. There was even a flamingo and some cats on the property, which we really enjoyed! The food was okay—not bad, but not outstanding either.

Personal muy amable y servicial. Willy el bartender en la picina muy atento y muy enfocado en la atencion al cliente. Mayordomo que me asignaron debe mejorar la atencion al cliente. Comidas muy variadas y sabrosas. Personal para entretenimientos muy telentosos. Tuve una situacion con personal dentro de las facilidades que venden paquetes de excursiones cual reporté esperando no se vuelva a repetir con ningun otro huesped. Por lo generar fué una muy grata experiencia y esperamos repetirla. Gracias
