Arrived at property on checkin date, and there were AC Units from rooms all stacked in front of entryway, to be thrown out, a lot of sketchy looking people around property…. Upon checking in, smelled of Marijuana in hallways

Parking was terrible. The close spots were all marked as reserved. The handicap spots were all taken by non handicapped vehicles, except for one spot which had a utility trailer parked in it.

Access in the hotel was garbage, doors wouldn't open with a key card properly, i could hardly get into my room. Would have to slode key in and pretty much kick the door to get it to open. Lots off riff raff hanging out in the areas outside, garbage everywhere.

Smelled terrible, broken windows, broken furniture, dirty, unhoused camping in every doorway, broken locks, was yelled at by man with bags covering his feet in the lobby.

Lots of broken handles and malfunctioning components. Aside from that and an angry front employee, was an OK stay.

This hotel was dirty smelly run down musty smelly we could not stay there after walking in to the facility. They were selling used furniture in the lobby. Table and chairs piled up in the lobby area from what was a past restaurant. Could not stay there after walking in to check in

Please do not stay here. So so very bad. Even tried to switch hotels but it was graduation weekend so that was a no go. Pulled into parking lot and there is a very angry woman with a small child screaming at the man behind the thick glass. HELLO! IF THAT DOES SCREAM RUN! I don't know what else could. Ohhh, just wait.We were early so we just wanted to stopinto the motel for a possible early checkin. The shaken but very nice gentleman behind the glass and I spoke about needing to change my room type from a king to 2 queens. He was polite and handed me a key to check the room to be sure it was what I was expecting. Another RED FLAG! I went to the room, unlocked the door and guess there was already someone in that room! Ok, i quickly shut the door & went straight back to the desk. The nice man then looks at me after another guest stormed out the door, and politely asks if the room was ok. I told him that there was someone already in the room and his immediate response was "Are you Okay? Did they do something to you?" Again, while i appreciate that his first thought was to my safety, i am thinking to meself why would he even need to respond this way? Ok. 2nd attempt to find another room unsuccessful. We go back in & get another room key. It was not very clean, so run down, broken light fixtures, broken floor tiles, the lock fell off the door! Ice bucket was sticky and had pink ick. Outside were piles of garbage the back entrance had broken glass broken handrail ricketdy steps.

It’s definitely a motel but for a room that’s pet friendly and less than $100 a night with all fees it’s decent. There were people partying in the parking lot at 3 am so that was annoying and there was over filled garbage cans pretty much everywhere or piles of garbage outside some of the rooms that were there for 24 hours.

The room and the property, in general, is in desperate need of deep cleaning and upgrades. While the sheets, pillows and towels were clean, very little else was. Carpet was dirty—particularly around the edges. Tiles in the bathroom were cracked. Shower curtain was dirty, stained, disintegrating at the bottom. One positive note—probably the only one was that the front desk person was very nice. Next time, though, I’ll stay somewhere else.

I rarely give poor reviews, but the property felt sketchy and we’re were uncomfortable with the area. The floor was very dirty and my shoes stuck to the floor when I walked. The bathroom door had a hole in as if someone tore the handle off. There were spider webs on the baseboards in the bathroom, and the tub spout was green from lime buildup. I took pictures and wish I could post them. I would not recommend this place.

Very Very dirty, we had to go to walmart and clean the bathroom ourselves. Staff were rude and not understanding. Said breakfast included, there was no breakfast at all.

Cleanliness was pretty bad. Stains on everything, hair still in shower, toilet paper not replaced, place smelled of smoke. Only $80 a night but not even worth that much.

Hotel wasn’t very clean

The room was dirty. There were little flies flying around, which leads me to beleive that there are possibly other critters as well. The decor was extremely dated. The floors, carpet and bedspreads were terrible. Fortunately i was only there just to sleep a few hours and move on.

The room was dirty, the bed sheets had stains, the tv stand was sticky it was just horrible.

There was 2 soft spots in the floor, the handle on the faucet and shower faucet were not clean, the sampoo and conditioner bottles looked used, there was a burn mark on the hair dryer, a trap for bugs, the floor felt gross and the towels were very used (shoud be replaced) i had no choice to stay here due to flight issue's and nothing else available....

Absolutely horrible. Blood was all over chair and food on floor and hair in bathtub but yet nobody would do anything aboutbit

Check in took 30 minutes. One person at the counter and he was pulled in many directions. When we got to our room had trouble getting the key to work and door to open. Carpet was dirty and stained. I went to plug in my charger and lots (10-12) bugs ran out from behind nightstand. We were changed to a different room. The air conditioner wasn’t working so room was at 80 degrees. I was told it would eventually cool down but never did. We took the bedspread off and the blanket was dirty/stained. Outside sign said continental breakfast but there wasn’t anything.

Price is fair, but smelled bad in the halls. Bed was not comfortable, and the TV turns on but no TV.

Our refrigerator didn't work, we couldn't get a different room, no discounts for the inconvenience. Don't recommend and won't go back.

Overall excellent lodging experience. I passed through Madison two times and both times I stayed here. Receptionist was able to accommodate my requests, the facility was quiet, the bed was comfortable. I have no complaints. Thank you.

Attendant was courteous and respectful. I was surprised to find out I had to pay an extra $40.00 for a security deposit at check in. I don’t like surprises, I’ll think hard about coming back to a Roadway Inn.

-Stinky -Took 30 minutes to check in when no one else was there -Door wasn’t working and had to call for assistance -Only bottom wall sockets worked and there were lamps and appliances plugged into them -lights kept flickering -there were half pillows which made sleeping almost impossible -tv doesn’t work

When we got into our room, there was a pocket knife sitting on a table that was open. We told the desk person right away, he tried telling us it was a maintenance man’s pocket knife as he removed it from the table. The window had a piece of metal/stopper that was attached to the track so the window could only open 3 inches. If there was a fire, we had no exit if we couldn’t use the door. Mind you, our room was on ground level. When we checked in and checked out, we asked for a receipt, they couldn’t give us a receipt. All the excuses were given- no ink in the printer, it wasn’t working at that time, unable to give at this time. Never again will we stay here.

Raj at the front desk is a great guy. Always going above and beyond to make sure our stays are perfect. Great staff all around! Would recommend to everyone!

It was quiet. Next door to a breakfast place. $20 Uber to the Silvy. All in all, decent place to spend the night.

Was told I booked the wrong room and couldn't change it. So i told them to cancel it then they said they could change it. At that time i had already went to another hotel. It smelled so bad, there was arguing in the parking lot and what appeared to be a drug deal. I didn't even take my bags out of my car. Photos on the site are NOT up to date!!! Was not refunded my money either.

There was people in the halls drinking, screaming, yelling and smoking all night. A fight broke out and the cops were called at 2am so I had to leave in the middle of the night due to safety concerns. When I called to discuss with the manager the next morning he was unapologetic and rude, offering no partial refund or an, "I am sorry" I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN

Convenient location at the edge of Madison at a good price. Pretty quiet. Downsides: room looked relatively clean but wasn't totally (walked into spiderwebs a few times). There also was no breakfast food, which the website seemed like there would be. Overall, decent stay for the price though.

We came in after midnight and they were super flexible with the late check in. However the room was dirty, sunflower seeds on the floor by the bed. There were questionable people hanging around the building, which the hotel probably can’t help but it looked like she had a room. Comfortable bed.

Roadway Inn and Econolodge in Madison, WI are clearly the bottom of the Choice Hotels Properties. No breakfast, just bare bones.

no coffee maker in room had coffee to make coffee but no coffee maker needs to be up dated the cost was not worth it charged more for graduation

Place was a dump. No breakfast as promised—-cordoned off with yellow. Adjoining room partied all night with no effort by staff to control. No rest til 4 in the morning and had to be up at 6. Asked for a refund of second night and they refused. Will never stay in a Rodeway again. Staff had limited English sleeking skills. Expedia should be embarrassed to have them on their website and I will remember it

The price was right but the facilities were a bit tired and there was no breakfast on offer.
