Hampton Inn & Suites Seattle/Federal Way

The room was large and we had plenty of space for my 3 children and husband. My husband used the gym which was clean and had plenty of equipment. The kids swam in the pool and had several kids in the pool at the same time. The breakfast was full of options and there was plenty of food for all the guests. The dining area was not packed at 9am which was nice. There was a bit of noise from I-5 traffic but that was expected since you're right off the freeway. There is several options for food in the area. We would return if needing the stay in the area again.

Everything was great! Except the pool was closed. You might consider calling ahead about the pool if you value that.

I was expecting so much more from the reviews. The hotel room was so hot and the AC wasn’t powerful enough. I have sleep apnea and had to move the nightstand to plug it in. Behind the nightstand had so much garbage. The pool was broken and that was a let down. Also, the breakfast wasn’t great at all. I paid more for a better hotel and it was such a let down.

I have always really liked and depended on Hampton Inns when I travel. They are very comfortable, clean and have great breakfasts. However, I was VERY disappointed to be charged $12 to park my car overnight! That has always been complimentary and still should be. Unfortunately, I will likely stay somewhere else with no parking charges on my next trip.

Staff was friendly. Free breakfast had a lot of options so that was great. Pool is a bit dated but I appreciated the warm pool. Gym was under par so that kind of carried the overall experience down for me. Rooms were great. Toiletries provided were just so-so. Not as good quality as other Hampton Inn/Hiltons that I’ve stayed at.

Pros- Decent breakfast , easy parking, near to highway. Checkout only by noon. Cons- Bathroom and rooms had that old smell. Bed was okay , however sheets and comforters need upgrade. Bathroom has molds. One of the reasons we took this place was inclusive breakfast and pool. Pool was out of order ( they didn’t inform us about it prior).

Very nice accomodations and nice breakfast. Room was comfortable and quiet. Since I always do a search for hotels that includes the "free parking" option, I was surprised to be hit with a $10 parking fee.

My stay here was ok, the pool was merky and the hot tub was look warm. The bed and room were clean, nothing fancy. I was disappointed that there were no built in USB ports in the room. There was a good variety of breakfast foods and coffee. The "crib" i requested and confirmed were not in the room like I was assured, and the "crib" was an old pack and play that needs to be retired.

Checking was at 3. We arrived there at 5 pm and our room wasn't ready. We had to wait 30 mins. The swimming pool was put of service and hot tub. The food was good and kitchen staff were friendly. The front desk were friendly too but couldn't comment as to why our room wasn't ready. The pillows didn't have much support, but beds were comfortable.I won't be staying at this Hampton. It didn't match the experience of other Hamptons. Thank you.

The toilet was dirty, it look like it wasn't clean in days. There was not hand soap durong my stay (3 nights). The closet had a broken door. Carpet was old but dusty. There were broken items around the property: elevetor and halls.

Upon checking in, the staff tried to charge me for parking without asking if I had a car parked in the parking lot. I didn’t have a car. I got a ride from the airport. The room was updated, but needed to be vacuumed. There were crumbs on the couch, crumbs on the carpet and the side table needed to be wiped down. The first day, housekeeping didn’t come to my room to pick up trash or anything. The second day, my trash was overflowing. Before I left for the day, I left the trash can outside of my room. When I came back that night, housekeeping had been to my room. They emptied the trash can left outside the room, but didn’t place the trash can back inside of the room. That didn’t make sense to me. I liked that coffee and tea was provided all day and night.

The property was very filthy from the floors in the lobby to the elevator to the halls and the rooms. One of the sofas had sticky maple syrup. There was hairs on the mattress. The baseboard on the hallway was on the floor and a lot of visible drywall taping on walls and ceilings. Very dirty floors and dusty room

The staff was nice but the room smelled terrible. Mirror was dirty, mysterious stains on headboard.

This hotel was very noisy upstairs and outside. We could hardly sleep. The bath tub did not drain and mold in the shower. They had overflowing garbage in the breakfast area. There were no towels in the pool area and the front desk would not answer the phone.

Our room did not seem fully cleaned and it took a little while to get this rectified. Large group of children at the hotel that day and the noise continued into the night, along with someone pacing back and forth above us, keeping us up even after we called the front desk to complain. Also, a good amount of traffic noise.

The carpet was sticky and not clean. The bedsheets in the fold out couch were not changed and dirty. The breakfast staff was rude. The parking lot is not safe. our windows got broken out and items got stole.

No WiFi in my room. The staff said he reported to the manager and the manager would have it fixed tomorrow. However, there’s nobody contact with me about this issue and there’s no WiFi in my room during my stay.

The tv( service) wasn’t working, they managed to get it working the following day.

Freeway was very noisy.

Wethey charge you $12.00 a day for parking. The thermostat only allows you to cool the room to 58 degrees and would quickly rise to 72 before it would kick back on. The room became hot and stuff, making it difficult to sleep. In the morning, the coffee warm at best.

Room was worn out. Shower had a metal piece hanging off the shower door and black grime showing where it should have been attached. Half of the toilet paper holder was broken and missing. Just a general lack of upkeep. I didn’t like that there was a parking fee when there was a huge lot and not very many cars in it. Staff were fine but did not seem to care about their work. Bed and linens were clean and comfortable. Overall I would not stay here again. There are plenty of other places of similar price to try.

This property was great. Just note that the property is right next to I-5 and you could hear the traffic all night long. Our room was on the side next to the freeway. The opposite side may have been better. Otherwise, a good choice for a stay.

It was in a really good area the only thing that we had an issue with was the room would get very hot and the A/C wasn’t really cooling down the room

Property needs to be remodeled as the cost is high. Interior finishes are tattered and very worn.

Room was only serviced once during my seven day stay. Ran out of towels and toilet paper. Also, the keys to my room didn’t work five days out of the seven I stayed . Not the best experience.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn Federal Way in September during a college visit with my son, and it was one of the most disappointing Hilton stays I’ve had as a Hilton Gold member. Check-in was fine, but our room had a musky odor that worsened when the AC turned on. My son started gagging, and I developed a headache. When I asked for a room change, I was told the hotel was “fully booked” and advised I could go find another hotel, with a refund possibly considered later. Instead, they offered to have maintenance check the unit. I left the room since it was unbearable, sat in the lobby for over an hour, and noticed other guests being given choices on their rooms — so clearly not all assignments were locked. Eventually, I was told maintenance found “no issues” and again offered nothing. Only after I pressed Hilton’s policy that a guest must be accommodated if a room is unacceptable was I finally given a different room, which was fine. Ironically, when my son later re-entered the first room to get a forgotten item, it reeked of heavy deodorizer, showing staff clearly recognized the issue but tried to mask it. The front desk promised to involve management and add points to my Hilton account, neither of which happened. The entire experience felt dismissive, lazy, and disingenuous. I won’t stay here again unless Hilton makes this right. Do yourself a favor and pick the Courtyard next door, which has far better service and reviews.

House keeping entered our room at 845 am. Called front desk their response was tell them to get out. Took no ownership as housekeeping gets the checkout list from the frontdesk.

Nicole was amazing at helping many guests who were checking in. She was so friendly and helpful! The only issue we had was that the beds are kind of old and a little too squishy.

I travel a lot....And let me tell you, the staff at this hotel were amazing! Went above and beyond to make our stay awesome! Very nice hotel, clean, great atmosphere and modern. Comfortable beds, good amenities, great location. Would stay here again for sure! Joel is awesome at the front desk!

I came in from out of town with my family around 1pm hoping there could be a chance to check in early. Nothing available at the time which was understandable because check in was at 4pm. The front desk told me that they had multiple room available like i requssted so it should be done by the time we came back. We went to a bridal shower came back after 4:40 and the room was done. They offered me a different room that i did not pay for and wouldnt accommodate my family. Over an hour and a half later our room was done. But while we were waiting 5 other families were served immediately! Then we finally get into our room with 2 very tired children and out bathroom light didnt even work! I will never book a room with them again.

I stay here regularly and the past few time there has been no reg coffee in the rooms or to be found by the staff. Plenty of decaf but it’s like there is a shortage or they can’t find it anywhere. Strange. This trip, the AC unit wasn’t working in 2 rooms. When calling the front desk for help I was hung up on one of the calls and treated like a nuisance on each call and nobody answered on one of the calls. I was eventually moved rooms and situation with AC was fixed but overall personal treatment was sub par. For me, coffee, AC and decent treatment are non-negotiable so I was very disappointed.

It was not at all a good experience. AC was broke for 2 days and we called front desk multiple times and no one showed up to fix it. They sent the tech up to our room on our 3rd day. There was a conflict about my reservations between the hotel and Expedia. It was a rough check in spent almost 2 hours at the front desk. Women were pretty rude and unprofessional!

Perfect road trip spot right off the highway. The location means it’s loud and I wouldn’t leave anything in your car, but the hotel is clean and well kept, and the included breakfast is great. Also it’s very dog friendly.

Do not stay here!!! Please read other reviews. The hotel had 24 cars broken into in 3 days. It’s a small parking lot shared with another hotel, but there is absolutely no security. The police department says this happens weekly at this particular location. They installed a watch tower in the center of the parking lot with cameras and flashing blue/red lights, guess what, they’re fake cameras and do not record. And they charge you to park. Will not be staying anytime soon.

We got a killer deal for this room. The room felt luxurious and big. Everything was mostly clean although the windows had greasy forehead marks and handprints all over them. We were comfortable and slept great. Unfortunately our gas was siphoned, not once, but twice!!! We were only there one night. That made me question our safety a bit but for the most part it seemed like a clean center. A great organic market right across the street.

The night of april 4 our car and 4 or 5 others were broken into at this hotels parking lot. My rear passenger window was taken out and things were stolen I understand the hotel does nothing or offers nothing to keep the property safe

The room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Only thing I didn't like was the staff in the breakfast area. The man was super rude and snatch a cup of batter out of my hand and told me I was using to much when in reality it didn't even make a whole waffle.

We were angry because we were charged for parking without being informed. The first morning breakfast had hard french toast. We love Hampton but will not being going back to the Federal Way facility.
