The hostel is very good. Beds were comfortable, washrooms were clean, staff especially Mr. Soroush at the reception were excellent. The breakfast was good. Kitchens were also good. Walkable to all attractions.

Very happy with my stay. Impressed with how well maintained and clean the place is especially the common areas. I also liked how you can enjoy a drink alone quietly or socialize with others at the bar area. The hostel is nice, clean for the most part. It's located in a good area near a tram line that takes you to the parliament building and Vörösmarty tér. It's also within a 10 min. walk from Kalvin tér metro station which is good for getting to Buda and other parts of Pest, including the two massive stations Nyugati and Keleti. It is also near to Nagycsarnok at Fövam tér. The hostel bed was clean but the walls and exterior were a bit dirty. The linen and towels were cleaned daily. The bathrooms were clean, and the other guests of the hostel seemed to try to keep it clean. I wish there was more space to brush your teeth and dry your hair. There are lockers in the rooms, which can be opened with the hotel keycard they give you. Very handy and pretty good security. There's 2 separate communal entrances to get to your room, so that is a plus in terms of security. If you like staying in hostels, I'm sure this will meet your standards. If you like staying in hotels, I'd say to give this one a go since it's not as rough or rowdy as others. Surrounding area seems safe, very WW2-esque if you ask me. There's an money exchange at Kalvin tér. There is a SPAR about 3 mins from the hostel.

This hostel was great, lively and felt safe for female travellers. The female only 6 bed hostel rooms were tight, just literally beds and lockers. The lockers were quite large and accessible with a key card. The beds were comfortable, and the curtain was great. The toilet and shower facilities were clean and tidy. The wifi is good! The only feedback would be to remove the hand dryer from the bathroom as it’s super loud and wakes up everyone in the rooms close by. People use it at ridiculous hours of the morning. Otherwise, great location super easy to walk everywhere! Would recommend for sure.

It was clean but some issues at the time that can happen anywhere but took till day leaving to have fixed no bathroom on floor for few days so had to get up and go to another floor for restroom. Then the place started smelling like sewage and sulfur after the two days but the in house purifiers were full blast and over essential oiled to mask it so it was a combination of both smells that was overwhelming and I smoke and I over frangence. I will own that this was next level. Aside from that nice place clean decent people. Stuck to there routines as a business and protocol. Probably aside from the restroom issues at that time and the cleaning women were only working but really inconsiderate they are very very loud and talk to each other and don't care who is sleeping or just got in they have a job to do and just do not care if they converse and tell to each other and in our in our and just super loud and don't say hello wave nothing they just are there to work not be friendly. But didn't culture maybe I dunno so if that would bother you a lot might want to pick a different place or suck it up and deal. They clean very good. However super annoying if your on holiday. So you can decide but cool place I'd probably stay again if I ever return.

Wonderful stay at the Maverick, extremely helpful and kind stuff. Stayed one night in a private room. Will definitely come again next time I'm in the city. **** One thing that could be improved would be bathroom cleanliness, I had to wipe down the toilet and sink with antibacterial wipes after checking in the room....

Booked for two nights last minute and overall, the hostel is pretty standard for it’s price. All staff were really welcoming and friendly. Upon checking in, the lady gave me brochures of activities to do around Budapest which I thought was a nice touch. Showers and Bathrooms were clean. Lockers were inside the rooms. Bed was comfy and private. However, there are some downsides to staying here. While sleeping, I kept waking up during the middle of the night of doors in the corridors being slammed and hairdryers. Would recommend wearing earplugs.

Tiberius and Sozy were so nice and helpful. The Hostel made nice social arrangements, like Pubcrawl and going to see the city. The bed and pillow might be the best ive ever slept in. Very central and easy to find.

Booked on the spur of the moment and so glad we did. It was so much better than we expected. Lovely big room, very well appointed. We had an ensuite room but even so this takes staying in a hostel to a completely new level. Location was spot on, easy walk to the main centre of Pest and literally 3 minutes to very good local bistro's. (Clara Bizstro very good and very good value)

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. Lovely reception area you can relax in. Breakfast was delicious. There was a WhatsApp group chat with regular social activities to meet new people. Good location and friendly staff

This hostel was amazing!! Transportation within walking distance. Hostel is located in a safe neighborhood. 2 blocks away from the Danube river. Daily housekeeping and towels provided. Breakfast served daily for a small fee. Just a basic continental breakfast. Wished they had more options including some Hungarian options. Front desk is pleasant and knowledgeable of Budapest. Booked on the spur of the moment and so glad we did. It was so much better than we expected. Lovely big room, very well appointed. We had an ensuite room but even so this takes staying in a hostel to a completely new level. Location was spot on, easy walk to the main centre of Pest and literally 3 minutes to very good local bistro's. (Clara Bizstro very good and very good value)

The hostel is nice, clean for the most part. It's located in a good area near a tram line that takes you to the parliament building and Vörösmarty tér. It's also within a 10 min. walk from Kalvin tér metro station which is good for getting to Buda and other parts of Pest, including the two massive stations Nyugati and Keleti. It is also near to Nagycsarnok at Fövam tér. The hostel bed was clean but the walls and exterior were a bit dirty. The linen and towels were cleaned daily. The bathrooms were clean, and the other guests of the hostel seemed to try to keep it clean. I wish there was more space to brush your teeth and dry your hair. There are lockers in the rooms, which can be opened with the hotel keycard they give you. Very handy and pretty good security. There's 2 separate communal entrances to get to your room, so that is a plus in terms of security. If you like staying in hostels, I'm sure this will meet your standards. If you like staying in hotels, I'd say to give this one a go since it's not as rough or rowdy as others. Surrounding area seems safe, very WW2-esque if you ask me. There's an money exchange at Kalvin tér. There is a SPAR about 3 mins from the hostel.

Very happy with my stay. Impressed with how well maintained and clean the place is especially the common areas. I also liked how you can enjoy a drink alone quietly or socialize with others at the bar area. The location is a little far. You can easily reach the center by bus. It's nice to walk from the hostel to the centre. Clean rooms and common areas. It has a comfortable lobby. You can have a drink from the bar in the lobby and work with pleasure.

Comfortable, clean rooms. 4 bed dorm had loads of storage and its own convenient ensuite. Superb Kitchen area on each level. Staff were always helpful. Food wasn’t available as advertised and breakfast was ok, but other than that I’d highly recommend!

Travelled alone. Stayed 3 night and had a very pleasant experience. I had my own room which was nicer than expected and shared kitchen was useful. Breakfast was ok if not spectacular and the vibe in the bar was fine. Well connected location.
