We stayed 3 nights in The Gaulala Cottage. The room had a great view from the deck. The property is older and a little rustic. Everything was clean for the most part. The sleeper sofa would be fine for a younger child, not so good for a young adult. Communication and Parking were both good. The driveway is steep. Beware if you have a car that sits low.

The cottages are much larger than they appear on the pictures. It was a very comfortable stay - parking was convenient and we stayed at a cottage with one level. Really easy to get in and out of the property.

A view of the ocean from the warm great room, full kitchen, great accommodations for our dog, comfortable bed, and private hot tub. Who could ask for more? Some parts of the cottage are showing signs of wear, but that detracted only a tiny bit from our enjoyment.

We really enjoyed our stay! The door code didn’t work when we arrived, but the property manager was quick to come help us. The amenities were wonderful as well. The shrubs could be cut back some and the spider webs around the cabins weren’t too appealing to see. Other than that, we loved it!

The floor was dirty. The innkeeper had to have it mopped. The patio like was burnt out and the had to change it. Huge unknown stain on the carpet. Rear slider lock broken and safety device was a wooden stick in the track. Shower head detached from the wall about to fall off. Owner receptive to getting the floor cleaned and light changed out but for over $400 a night was not willing to give a discount and only offered for a future stay. I did not accept as we will never stay here again. All he said to that comment was ok and bye and hung up. The property could be really nice if the owners cared about it. The grounds are full of weeds and spider webs. Void of any security or safety lighting in walking dirt paths.

Super clean, comfy bed, spacious cottage. Fully stocked kitchen with full size refrigerator and decent sized kitchen table. Roku TV so you can access all of the streaming apps. Very thoughtful set up for the dogs…Nice dog bed, all the bowls, treats. Frisbee, towels and two poop bag dispensers. Very thoughtful, we will definitely be back.

The staff communication IF THE BEST ! They keep in touch with you till you arrive! They changed from keys to pin pad which was so convenient! Truly had an amazing stay , everything was clean and more stuff provided when asked . Suggested mats for kitchen and they took the suggestion . You are allowed to text the staff which is so convenient! Very very nice stay and so comfortable! Bed was very comfortable! I don’t like dogs or pets so asked them to make sure clean the furniture and they did a good job I didn’t see a single dog hair from previous people who stayed . The bathroom was super clean . Loved it !

The concept of the “cottages” is great but the maintenance is lacking. Come on! We had to put wooden sticks in the sliding door to lock it and living room window to hold it up! The windows were very dirty as were the Sun roof windows. The furniture was horrible and uncomfortable. After following the directions for the gas fireplace it never came on. It would be so nice if the cottages were cleaned up, repaired and had a cozy decor. It was only 1 step above camping. We won’t be going back.

Little river cottages-Albion unit Need to cut down bush which is in the way of views Outlets all need replacing. All are loose, hazard for shorting out. None hold a charger on them. Chargers at bedside are for usb A only. Need usbC charger ends too….thats the new standard Outlets in Albion master bedroom left side didn’t work….no note saying that…phone/camera dead in morning… View from master and deck no good Shower needs work-diverted doesn’t divert all to upper head, head doesn’t tilt, shower doesn’t have no slip pad, very slippery Good heat throughout Master bed good Living room bed not comfortable

I believe the cabins need some updating and the shower was difficult to control the water The kitchen was not well equipped…no cutting board, 3 forks , pans were in terrible shape. The location was great. The people I talked to were very nice and friendly. The grounds are very nice too.

we definitely enjoyed our stay! The only thing was I guess I should have mentioned I have a mobility issue so navigating to the front door was an issue. I we return in the future I would have chose Gualala cabin bc of the sunset view was perfect for January. Thanks for the bottle of wine we were celebrating our 49th Anniversary!

We really enjoyed our stay! The door code didn’t work when we arrived, but the property manager was quick to come help us. The amenities were wonderful as well. The shrubs could be cut back some and the spider webs around the cabins weren’t too appealing to see. Other than that, we loved it!

The floor was dirty. The innkeeper had to have it mopped. The patio like was burnt out and the had to change it. Huge unknown stain on the carpet. Rear slider lock broken and safety device was a wooden stick in the track. Shower head detached from the wall about to fall off. Owner receptive to getting the floor cleaned and light changed out but for over $400 a night was not willing to give a discount and only offered for a future stay. I did not accept as we will never stay here again. All he said to that comment was ok and bye and hung up. The property could be really nice if the owners cared about it. The grounds are full of weeds and spider webs. Void of any security or safety lighting in walking dirt paths.

The staff communication IF THE BEST ! They keep in touch with you till you arrive! They changed from keys to pin pad which was so convenient! Truly had an amazing stay , everything was clean and more stuff provided when asked . Suggested mats for kitchen and they took the suggestion . You are allowed to text the staff which is so convenient! Very very nice stay and so comfortable! Bed was very comfortable! I don’t like dogs or pets so asked them to make sure clean the furniture and they did a good job I didn’t see a single dog hair from previous people who stayed . The bathroom was super clean . Loved it !

We stayed 3 nights in The Gaulala Cottage. The room had a great view from the deck. The property is older and a little rustic. Everything was clean for the most part. The sleeper sofa would be fine for a younger child, not so good for a young adult. Communication and Parking were both good. The driveway is steep. Beware if you have a car that sits low.

we definitely enjoyed our stay! The only thing was I guess I should have mentioned I have a mobility issue so navigating to the front door was an issue. I we return in the future I would have chose Gualala cabin bc of the sunset view was perfect for January. Thanks for the bottle of wine we were celebrating our 49th Anniversary!

Had to bail on camping because my dog was not a fan so booked this place last minute and now I wish I'd just booked this instead. Gorgeous views, property is beautiful and it's dog friendly so plenty of other dogs here for mine to make friends with. Definitely worth a stay and I will be coming back.

The cottage was badly in need of a deep cleaning - the upstairs wall-to-wall carpeting in particular, as well as the stairway, which had numerous large stains, presumably from visiting pets. The couch in the living room was uncomfortable to sit on. The windows were streaked and dirty, although a handyman on the property kindly cleaned them for us when we asked. Kitchen appliances looked dirty. While we enjoyed the lovely location, would not stay at this property again.
