Quality Inn Terre Haute University Area

There were ants all along the walls, coming in near the window. We discovered food under the chair that had not been cleaned up that was attracting the ants. They did move us to another room, but that room had no chair, no hangers or rack to set luggage. We found an ant on the bed in the new room, presumably carried in on our bags or clothes, which made it difficult to relax & sleep. The front desk staff was not helpful when we asked about a refund. She literally walked away as we were still trying to talk to her. Tried to get a refund through Hotels.com and the hotel refused that, too. If the room description states "park view" all that means is there is a small paved courtyard between the hotel & the next building over where people go to smoke. You're really just lookiat the roof of the building next door if you're on the 3rd or 4th floor.

Clean room, great staff and good breakfast.

When paid the extra 25 dollars for early check in just to walk in to our room to see food crumbs and also someone's pill they must have dropped, that tells you the room wasnt even vacuumed.... after pulling the covers down, we noticed the sheets were all wrinkled like they had not been changed. When entering the bathroom, there were hairs hanging from the "clean" towels. Cleanliness of the room was not there. I always leave my housekeepers a tip when staying over but this was the first time I didnt leave one... a tip is for when you actually do your job.

The ac didn’t work well the room was hot.

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The cleanliness of our room, in particular the bathroom, was not acceptable. The bathroom walls had smears all over them, the toilet lid was falling off, the sink drain stopper had been pulled and smelled awful and the shower curtain was dirty and stained. In the bedroom, bed linens looked clean but had a very strong sweat smell and the floor was unswept and hairy.
