Our room was clean and well-maintained with nice hard wood floors and plantation shutter windows. The temperature control worked well and the bed was comfortable. There is an out door has fire pit turned on from 6 pm to 9 pm. We had a view of the rock. Breakfast delivered to our room sets this hotel apart. However, they don’t have condiments so we brought our own salt and pepper, coffee creamer (coffee mate), butter, jelly, salsa, and milk. Also we asked for the omelette with no onions but the request was overlooked.

Absolutely loved our stay! The room was amazing, the breakfast was fabulous. They have 2 bikes you can use to stroll downtown! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate all of our requests. We will definitely be back highly recommend

Everything was really nice. The front desk person as well as the ladies that brought our breakfast were all wonderful. Front desk lady was very helpful when checking in. We were bringing my niece down to move into the dorms at Cal Poly, needless to say she had a ton of stuff! My truck has a cover, but we were hoping not to have to unload everything into the room. She gave us a reserved cone to use while we ran to Target for last minute stuff to make sure we still had a space close to our room and we wouldnt have to worry. She said they've never had a problem, but wanted us to feel secure. Easily fit 3 adults and a toddler in our 2 queen room, very spacious interior. Nice clean and having a fridge was a plus!

The only thing that was disappointing was on the add for this hotel said there was free bike rentals. There was no bikes and the girl in the office had no idea what I was talking about. The breakfast lady was amazing.

Stayed one night. Nice room and a five minute walk to the Embarcadero. On site free parking. The free breakfast had only two options but it was delivered to the room at a time set up when checking in and was pretty good.

Beach Bungalow Inn hearkens back to the days of quaint roadside motels. My room had been lovingly restored into an adorable and comfortable unit with a fireplace and a wonderful shower. They use eco-conscious products in the bath and deliver breakfast to your room each morning. It's located near everything and they even have 2 seating areas in the courtyard to enjoy the view and the fire pit. The only down side are the patio chairs in my room- they were not comfortable at all.

We liked the spacious clean room, the wood floors, the comfortable bed. The coffee area and small fridge very convenient. I liked the breakfast items and brought to our door! The out door chairs were nice when we met up with family staying on the area. They wished they had stayed at our hotel. Love walking around Morro Bay! Getting a fall weekday rate was helpful since we can’t resist the restaurants here. We will be back.

This motel is in a nice convenient area for easy access to the waterfront and Morro Rock. We stayed in a deluxe king room which had ample room for a couple. I liked the fact that it had a small refrigerator that had a separate freezer area. I wish that they would leave a few extra towels in the room, instead of having to ask for them. We had to ask for a bath mat, there was not one in the room. The bed was not comfortable. The coffee in the room was really good, but the coffee maker took over 30 minutes to brew 2 cups. It was nice to have breakfast delivered to the room.

I would stay there again for sure if the mold issue was resolved. I could hear the seals barking, gulls. Nice ocean marine layer in the morning. I could see the Morro rock. So lovely. Fair price

Stayed in a a room with king size bed. Bed was comfortable and the room was very spacious. The sitting area around the fireplace was great as a place to chat and drink as we wound down the day. It also made the room toasty since we were there in late June and the nights were quite chilly. The front desk has some very friendly receptionist and the woman that cleaned the rooms was very nice and helpful. The free made to order breakfast was really good and I love the musli! The coffee machine came with ground coffee that you can measure, so you can make your cup of Joe as strong as you want to. I even made a 50/50 with the decaf that was provided which was nice when I made a small pot in the evening. The shower was nice and the only issue I had was the small sink, since it splashed a lot of water on the floor. But you can just place the bath rug under it, just watch out for your toes. Over all: I will definitely stay here again and truly recommend it!

Daily hot breakfast was yummy. Staff even delivered our food early so we could make our tour at Hearst Castle. Room was clean and spacious. Great location, 2 blocks from beach & downtown. We had view of Morro Rock from our room. Excellent 3-night experience!!

If you are looking for a hotel with an upscale lobby with an elegantly appointed room, you probably won't appreciate this motel. It is a charming, quaint throwback to another era where you park your car and walk directly into the room from the parking lot. We were in the Pacific room which is a family suite with two bedrooms. The suite was clean with two chairs to sit in, a small refrigerator, coffee pot and supplies, and a safe. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was larger with shelving to place toiletries and other items. The gas fireplace and heating worked well. Breakfast was good with omelette and Musli options. We would stay there again.

Very nice and relaxing stay. Very close to the downtown are so it’s easy to walk down and get dinner. The breakfast was very good and really convenient. The only thing I wish they had in the rooms was a microwave. We brought some food to heat up so we could save some money but we’re unable to do that. Otherwise it was a really nice stay.

The owners obviously take pride in this property. We found it attractively furnished and had everything we need for a comfortable stay, the breakfast were excellent-offered two choices. We tried both and they were both very good. Staff is very friendly. We had to leave very early on our last day and the staff delivered a takeout breakfast. We totally enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

We have stayed here 4x now and love it every time. It is close walking to harbor. Always clean and comfortable. Easy check in even after hours. The morning breakfast is always delicious and fresh.

I loved the retro feel of the property. It was so well maintained for such an old property. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts were so much better than the typical breakfast bar at larger chain hotels.

We left after the first night of a 5 night reservation because the room design and layout was inadequate. First of all there was no soap in the bathroom and the staff indicated that they were out of soap so they had to get some from another room. There was also no coffee available for the provided breakfast because their coffee maker didn't work. In the room, there was no place to sit at table to eat the provided breakfast so we had to either sit on the bed or stand. There was no counter in the bathroom for placing personal items. We had to use the ironing board that was in the closet to place a glass of wine while sitting in a chair and finally moved a small, dirty table from outside into the room for this. The room was clean but this was by far the worst motel room design/layout we have ever booked and the expected ammenities were lacking.
We left after the first night of a 5 night reservation because the room design and layout was inadequate. First of all there was no soap in the bathroom and the staff indicated that they were out of soap so they had to get some from another room. There was also no coffee available for the provided breakfast because their coffee maker didn't work. Well the stay was fine. My interaction with emails left much to be desired. Even a phone conversation I had with someone before my stay , asking about a cheese and strawberry tray that was to be awaiting us in the room did not happen. So I didn’t even ask about it. Chalked it up to the same type of response I got to my emails… nothing.

AMAZING!!!!!! So cozy, clean, updated room. Gas fireplace was a nice touch. Bed and pillow were heavenly. The included homemade breakfast delivered to the room was completely unexpected and delicious. Organic coffee. View of the rock. I came for Ironman 70.3 and they accommodated a late check out for us racing. Beyond impeccable service. This will be where I stay whenever I’m in Morro Bay.

This little hotel has a great boutique feel. Super comfortable bed, excellent little breakfast, and nice walking distance to waterfront (Embarcadero). The staff was friendly and helpful. And we had a great view of Morro Rock. We’ll go back for another anniversary stay.

We enjoyed our time at Morro Bay, and this small hotel was in the perfect location. The price was good and the breakfast offered was a nice plus. The owner is very attentive to the guests. The location can’t be beat—within walking distance to all the sites but in a quiet street. The bed was very comfortable.

Great place for a little vacation with family. It was close to town and the beach. The downside was the discontinued breakfast which was not mentioned when we reserved the bungalow until we reached there. Overall it was a beautiful and peaceful place.

The owners obviously take pride in this property. We found it attractively furnished and had everything we need for a comfortable stay, the breakfast were excellent-offered two choices. We tried both and they were both very good. Staff is very friendly. We had to leave very early on our last day and the staff delivered a takeout breakfast. We totally enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

We've stayed here previously. It's a very friendly hotel with attractive clean rooms and it's located on a relatively quiet street with views of Morro Rock. The staff are exceptionally pleasant and helpful. The "free" breakfast is delivered to the room and tastes good, but the options are very limited. The crepe was also not very filling; I could have eaten twice as much and I'm not overweight. The hot water in the shower took a long time to arrive and then didn't hang around for too long!

I was very happy with this hotel. It’s actually a motel that has been converted into “bungalow” rooms. Its a short walk to the beach area and Morro Rock. Customer service was great and the room was big, clean, and well decorated. We stayed in the suite so there was a bedroom, living area, and small kitchen. The kitchen was dated but clean and I’m not complaining, just letting you know it’s not updated. Breakfast is included and delivered to your door. It was so good!!! Not a muffin and coffee but a freshly cooked breakfast sandwich and overnight oats with yogurt/fruit and coffee or orange juice. I would definitely stay here again.

Room took forever to warm up. The breakfasts last year changed every day and that was why we came back They were great! This year the same breakfast every day. The bathroom had almost no room to put our overnight bags, toothbrushes etc Construction on both sides of us. Owner seemed disengaged. Won’t return next year. Would rather go to a warm comfortable motel.

We had a great four day stay at this quaint property. We stayed in the Abalone suite which had a full kitchen and living room area. It was cozy! We loved the fresh breakfast served to our room each day. Nice people! We will be back!

This is a classic sea cottage disguised as a motel. If you're looking for the Marriott, this isn't it. What this is; is a clean, quiet, comfortable throwback that's been nicely renovated. I stayed for three nights with someone in the next room so three nights and never heard a sound. An added perk, I was able to find a covered parking place each night. I had a perfect stay at an incredible price.
