Club Regina Puerto Vallarta

Excellent resort. Clean, friendly, welcoming, and beautiful. Great place to unwind. Close to marina. $20 10 minute Uber XL ride to downtown. Beautiful pool. Nice fitness center. They have dumbbells, various curl bars, treadmills, strength equipment, and a couple stationary bikes. Perfect for peloton or les mills sprint app. Last week of April was really quiet and very relaxing. Supposedly it’s a bit of a lull down here.

Spacious room, great resort lay out. Friendly staff. A+ With the Great kids activities. GIVE THOSE GUYS 100 stars ⭐️ !!!!! The kids really miss you guys. Beach access ! Use the left side access for more sandy bottom. Bring goggles to see the fish ! Glad we weren't pressured into the breakfast invitation. We said we were not interested and we were not asked about it anymore. That was awesome. Only minor complaint. The drinks were pretty light compared to last year, even when we requested them stronger. Wish we still had our discount for the entire stay but the policies changed with the new ownership. Our one time discount was not applied to any of our meals. Didn't think to look at that until we checked out. We kept all Of our receipts. We will come back !

Very nice place. The pool and beach are amazing. The grounds are well taken care of and very very beautiful. The room we had faced the ocean and pool and was so nice. Cleaning lady came daily and did a great job! We loved our stay and would definitely return!

Wonderful outdoor environment by the beach. The best outdoor area on the beach compared to all the other resorts.

The property is delightful. Staff are great and personable. The location is great directly on the beach. (difficult at times to get beach chairs if not up very early in am- saving chairs). The rooms need updating but are still maintained well by housekeeping. Bathroom off the main living area (&kitchen) could use an exhaust fan for humidity after shower use. Overall met many nice guests.

We had a large room. Fairly quiet. The breakfast are very ordinary, often cold, no real butter, no toast. Dinner menu is ok. Pool is pretty. Beach could use a raking, rough sand. People commandeer lounge chairs early so by 10am, beachchairs are no longer available. Hotel says it monitors hoarding but it doesn't. Must have a car or take a taxi to get downtown. Staff pleasant and helpful.

The staff was fantastic! Everyone was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Some went far above and beyond. The pools / pool area was awesome. Activities all day for the kiddos and adults. Food and beverages on demand. The building and rooms are understandably a bit dated but everything worked and was clean. Bathrooms were large and useful. Having a private bathroom attached to our master bedroom was a huge plus. If I had to pick out just one thing that we weren’t happy with it would be the king size bed. I prefer a firm bed as that’s what we have at home. The king mattress was absolutely brutal. It was so hard that I ended folding up a blanket to act as additional padding. If they were able to offer mattress toppers that would be great. I’m sure that would be cost prohibitive so I understand. I just think that it may be something people would want to know, especially when on a two week vacation. Otherwise I would highly recommend Club Regina as a very affordable option when visiting PV.

Our family of 4 had a good time here. Very nice grounds pool and beach. We would stay here again. Everything was great.

Great property, great staff, great amenities

Place was cheap but smells bad every where, bedroom was smelly and humid a lot, just couple workers speaking English, food for kids was worse the MD, Pool was good though for kids, and the restaurant breakfast wasn’t bad, front desk had some attitude for no reason, Overall I hope I don’t need to go back

Rude check in clerk, had to wait 6 hrs for room. Room had awful sewage odor and serious mold. Main door handle to room was loose. Bitten during sleep at night. Room is in serious need of updating. Came here often and stayed next door at Mayan Palace. Big difference...no comparison. Will not consider this property for return stay in Puerto Vallarta. Housekeeping room attendant was very nice tho.

Avoid at all costs! Time share scam and disgustingly dirty rooms. Immediately upon check-in, we were borderline harassed for our participation in a time share presentation the next morning at 8:30. After an exhausting day of travel, all we wanted was to get up to our room and get unpacked and changed but were forced to listen to a pitch for their “vacation club membership”. The presentation was positioned to us as being optional, however by 8 am the next morning the front desk had already called the room 3 times to remind us that a chauffeur was waiting to take us to the presentation we had signed up for at check in. After we had declined to participate we found we were treated very differently by the staff at the hotel. When we entered the room, we found it to be very dirty. Floors were sticky. The room Had a musty smell to it. We found black hairs around the sink and toe nail clippings left beside the tub!! We politely informed front desk who said they’d contact the hospitality manager to have our room cleaned again. After they cleaned, the black hairs and toe nails were missed and still in the room! At this point, we decided this was not the right place to spend our vacation. We booked another hotel in the Centro district and checked out 4 days early. Given the circumstances, we had hoped either Expedia or the hotel would provide a partial refund, however they declined and charged us the full amount of the stay. Needless to say, we will never be visiting again.

I enjoyed my stay! The food was delicious, and the swimming pool was awesome — clean and relaxing. The room was also very tidy and comfortable. Great experience overall!

Views were nice from the decks. Staff were all pleasant. Pools and beach access were great. Bed was comfortable. Couch and chairs were not very comfortable. Master bedroom shower caused considerable water leakage because of the lack of edging on the bottom. Air conditioning wasn't adjustable. It was either on or off. We couldn't adjust the temperature on it.

Excellent service from Cesar! Very knowledgeable and professional. Super helpful and considerate. He speaks excellent English. He the type of employee I would promote to management. Jesus was very helpful and friendly. The room was amazing. Very large, clean and comfortable. We definitely need to come back. Super giant and gorgeous pool. Private beach. Excellent restaurant with very delicious food. Great service from Isaias, Antonio and Deman!

The main thing we missed was not having a mini fridge in the room. Having to buy water, etc., it would have been nice to keep it a little cold. The bathroom was dated but clean. Otherwise everything was good.

Excellent and big rooms

Room had a leaky toilet and a terrible dangerous shower. Noisy running water via pipes in the ceiling that never stopped. Unfortunately no view but that of course is what you pay for. Other than that it was good. Loved the pool and the food.

La suite y sus muebles no son de gran lujo pero tiene lo básico que lo hacen funcional. (Cocineta con loza. Su refrigerador, microondas etc. Todo muy limpio y cómodo. Muy recomendable!!

It's a beautiful, and slightly aging resort right on the beach. However... Much maintenance is occurring constantly including R I G H T O U T S I D E O U R R O O M!! Workers were modifying planters and applying a tar-like sealant with an overpowering gasoline smell. The odor permeated underneath our room door and the smell filled the room. We tried jamming a large towel at the door's gap and even had staff bring us a room humidifier. It took about 6 hours before we could return. Bad service methods and bad decisions on the hotel's management/maintenance. Also, there's constant trimming of palm trees and blowing of leaves and debris with gas-powered devices...NOISEY! Even the next-door Westin resort had a weed-wacker roaring for 4 hours as we sat by the Club Regina pool. We opted to move to the beach where the surf drowned out that noise. Aside from the resort being noisy for 5 days, the poolside restaurant was good. But the main restaurant "Inizio" had great food, but poor service. Waiter brought a salad for one guest, while the other ate their main course, finished it, then watched the first guest wait another 15 minutes to get their main course. Waiter could of timed the food delivery much better. Or just asked the guests. Restaurant Manager wasn't very friendly, either. So, overall we had a 3-star stay. The hotel staff (not restaurant) was very, very friendly and accommodating including costs/fees and currency conversion. Taxis were easily scheduled.

The location is fabulous. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. The decor in the ground level floor we stayed in was extremely dated and the upholstery on the sofa was shabby and stained. It takes 5 minutes for the water to heat up for the shower but once it does it is good. The grounds are beautiful and the lunch and evening dining at the resort restaurants were good. The beach and poolside lounge chairs are also badly in need of an update but unlike some resorts you can always get a good seat. I would only stay here again if I could be guaranteed an updated room but the manager said this could not be guaranteed. Finally, this property is now managed by Raintree resorts, which is a timeshare outfit. Based on all our conversations with those timeshare members. I would not recommend purchasing same.

They stuck us in a room in the back of the property. We booked a “condo”. We got a hotel room. Not what we were expecting. Won’t book with Expedia again at this property.

Everything was great!!! Only one observations the check in and check out time were not as promised by expedia. The room was not ready at check in at 3 pm and they asked us to check out at 10am

The timeshare sellers are very pushy and thats terrible way to start your relaxing time. Also, the bathrooms need a MAJOR update. The one in our room had a faucet leak and the overall appearance was old and unkept, no exhaust fan either so the bathroom is always humid.

Disappointed with rude staff and the condition of the rooms. Room was NOT ready. After waiting almost 2 hours past 4pm, we gave up and went to dinner.As stated before this ruined my husband's 75th birthday celebration. Door knob on bathroom door falling off. Promised to send someone to fix but no one ever showed up. Got a call from "Daniel" who tried to address these matters and he too was "supposed" to get back to us but we never heard from him again either. Also the rooms had awful sewer odor and mold. Our bathroom actually had soap suds coming out the drain in the floor. Overall, will not consider staying here again. One more thing...staff made us feel inferior and unwelcomed because we bought this vacation from Expedia/Orbitz and we were not Raintree Members. Maybe they should only accept their members and stop insulting non members.

We had a great experience at Club Regina! The property was beautiful and well maintained. Tons of stuff for us to do: pools, beach, activities, restaurants and a short walk to the marina. Super friendly and helpful staff! Shout out to Luis and Demian for going above and beyond for us during our stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Service was slow at the main restaurant. Wish there was a hot tub, there was a jacuzzi looking tub attached to the pool but it was the same temp as the pool. Rooms could use updating, the soaking tub on the deck could use an update as well. Was a good experience for the cost overall.

This property is perfectly located just a short distance from the beach. The poolside area is impeccably maintained, and the staff provides exceptional service, making it great value for money. The standout feature of this hotel is undoubtedly the outstanding outdoor staff, whose dedication truly enhances the experience. Additionally, the housekeeping and front office teams are commendable. Overall, the facility is remarkably clean and well-kept. I highly recommend this hotel, especially for families seeking a beautiful and memorable holiday.

Paying tax at the front desk upon arrival. Staff is pushy about buying the time share. Not very accommodating because our flight was late and check out was 10 am. They were asking for $25 US for each hour. If Expedia charged us so much tax why we have to pay extra while on arrival. I feel ripped off. Expedia should refund my tax money.i have no choice when I arrive at the front desk I have to pay in order to get a room for my family and myself.

The staff is very friendly. They remember us from year to year and the accommodations are stellar.

Hotel was a bit dated but was very clean and staff are very helpful and courteous. Great location on the beach, great pool area and the property has lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance around rhe marina boardwalk. We had a small leak issue with out intial room but the manager Damian was great and had us switched into another room which had a way better view. We will definitely stay there again.

Excellent location. The staff is amazing and they make you feel at home. Great room accommodations and the pools are amazing. The views of the Bay of Banderas are amazing, especially at sunset.

Marina area beach front lovely pool

Very good location in the Marina District. Hotel is very well maintained and service was excellent. A/C was a bit challenging in the suite; one room was often too cold, the other too warm. Very nice pool. Walkable area. Would repeat.

Great location very close to Marina Vallarta in a quiet area

The Regina is in close proximity to the Marina. Additionally, there are pools and the beach for all to use. The food and service at the Tenapa pool restaurant was fantastic. Service by server named Efrain was exceptional.

We were seven days centred around a wedding at the resort and our stay was wonderfu. The property and the staff were amazing. The location is close to the marina and Uber in Puerto Vallarta now getting around super easy thinking about coming back again near the end of next October November, again

I really liked how relaxed and quiet the resort was. Kinda wish that it would be all inclusive. The restaurants food was not Mexican at all and way over priced. You have to go out of the resort area to enjoy a good reasonable meal.

The rooms are a little dated, but comfortable. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Cesaria and Rene, the chefs at the pool bar, are the best. If I won the lottery I would move here and hire them as my personal chefs.

Room is a little outdated, but the view of what I thought was the property is great. Turns out, that view is what is now Westin. Westin and Raintree split the property with a fence. So we had no access to our pool. We had to go all the way through the lobby to get to the other 2 pools which were dirty. The Club Regina side is getting run down and out dated. Drinks were mediocre at best. So we had the Westin poolside waiters pass better drinks over the fence. Broken room lock so kids stranded outside at midnight. Mistake with money exchange. Things happen, but management didn't seem to care about anything. The working staff are great though. Very friendly and accommodating.

My family and I just stayed at Club Regina for a week and had a great experience. The grounds are beautiful and clean, the staff was very attentive and friendly and the proximity to the marina restaurants was an added bonus (8min walk). The restaurant at the pool was so delicious, we consumed it daily. The breakfast at the restaurant was great - we opted for the buffet a few times, never ate dinner there though but heard good things. The pools were beautiful and the beach access was great! Plenty of lounge chairs at both. Although the studio we stayed in could use some updating, the rooms were super clean and beds were comfortable. We are already looking forward to booking another vacation at Club Regina.

The friendliness of the staff can't be beat. The meal choices and prices are great at both Inizio and at the pool bar/restaurant. A little issue with birds at Inizio. Upkeep of the property exterior is excellent; however, the rooms are feeling a little tired in my opinion. Overall good experience. I will come back next month.
