Quality Inn Batesville

The room was clean but the halls and stairs were filthy. No elevator made things interesting. My wife had both knees replaced. Parking was okay but the mid side door was unsecured. Breakfast Lady did a great job.

First off, I wasn't notified that there was a $100 cash deposit after booking my room so I had to leave, go to ATM, and come back to finish my check in. The room was dirty and smelled like cigarettes. The pool was dirty with trash and other things floating in it, the water in the pool smelled like a dirty fish pond, there were no towels in the pool area to dry off with, and the tile around the pool is very slick and unsafe. My child slipped and smacked the back of his head while carefully getting out of the pool, not running around, just using the steps to walk out of the pool. I wouldn't stay at this location again under any circumstances.

The swimming pool looked infected with bacteria. Never again.

The room and bathroom was not clean, hair was found everywhere, an opened Dr.Pepper was in the fridge, fixtures were rusted, Ice machine on 2nd floor was broken, pool was cold and foamy-no towels stocked for it. Clean bedding and decent breakfast and coffee were the highlights of this stay.

Check in was at 3. Room wasn’t ready till almost 4. Dirty. Pool was dirty. Plugs didn’t work. No elevator so if your disabled make sure you ask for first floor.

The hotel and room is very dirty and everything is old! Pool was green, among other things. We could not stay the 2nd night even already paid for. There are many things that could improve for very little or no money!

Overall good. Laundry facility was closed but other than that a good experience

Ok. This is a cheap hotel with an indoor pool and a good breakfast. Waffles eggs sausage sausage gravy biscuits yogurts fresh fruit and juices cereal milk. The breakfast attendant was very nice and helpful. She was busy cleaning and restocking. Dining area was large with several tables and large windows. We didn't see any evidence of bugs. We inspected carefully. We stayed on the 2nd floor. All the room surfaces were clean and refrigerator and microwave were both clean and very usable. Ice machine worked great and the ice was good and clear. The pool was cleaned, but the paint is peeling. It was supposed to be heated but was soooo cold. also, there used to be hot tubs. However, there may be a couple of rooms with jacuzzi, but we did not see them. The staff was very helpful. The key card machine was broken upon our arrival. It should have been noted in websites because this is very unsafe for all guests. The staff had to escort us to our room any time we were both out of the room. Had I known...we would have gone somewhere else... but it was getting late and I Needed a swim. The Entire hotel is in Need of Major updating of walls mattresses carpet.

We booked our stay with this quality Inn, based on our previous stays at other quality ends across the country. When we arrived, there was vomit very noticeable. On a bad skirt, a lightbulb was missing from the main light, and the make yourself coffee in the room pot did not work. When we ask for assistance, there was really non-available we were not allowed to move to another room. We would have left this motel, however, Rooms were not available in this town or along the way to Oxford, which was our final destination someone should investigate this place, it is not clean. Unsanitary is a better word to describe it.

Front desk lady was friendly and very responsive. Sheets were clean but the carpets were stained and very dirty. Phone was NOT connected to the wall, had to change the tv input every time it was turned on to get a signal. We were next to the vending room and the ice machine made a loud beeping all night. They require a $100 deposit, no biggie and most hotels do, but it had to be as cash. Room smelled bad, cigarette smoke and other musty orders. Rooms looked like they haven’t been updated in over 40 years!!! Also, the toilet continued to flush itself every 10 minutes….

The property rooms themselves were dingy and smelled like mildew. The beds were worn and uncomfortable. The door didn’t lock. The tv didn’t have a remote, after several different replacement remotes from the front desk, the remote only would work the volume - not the channel. The phone wasn’t plugged into the wall so we couldn’t call the front desk. We also had to leave $100 CASH deposit with the front desk - we were not aware of this prior to checking in.

The bed broke when sleep the entire headboard fell out of the wall.

Climate control on room temperature did not work. Shower did not adjust temperature and water was almost scalding hot. TV did not shut off, change channel or adjust volume; it was not the remote.

Wow. I can’t really type the things I disliked as it’s too many. AC sounded like a semi down braking and rattled worst than a off centered washer

Loud music being played in parking lot until 2 am. The ac, fridge and microwave didn’t work on one of the rooms, we had to move rooms ( ac controls were busted in ) and the and fridge stopped working in our second room. Was offered another Room but didn’t want to move rooms. Staff was very friendly but doubt we would stay here again.

Nice big room over looking pool with couch in room, reasonable rate would stay again! Shower had low pressure other than that it was a good stay.

Need up grade on the furniture the bed are hard the lamps are rusty it’s more like a extended stay.

The place hasn’t been updated in over 25 years.

Located in good location. The Building has no elevator. The carpet is too old and soiled. The air conditioner front falls off, and the toilet lever jams when flushing.

The nicest staff! Great location with several resteraunts close. A Cracker Barrel is across the parking lot. We will stay here again when we vsit Ole Miss!

Myself and multiple other guests were promised an early check in for an event happening in town. Manager and front desk staff did not communicate this between them and this costed myself and many other time that we needed.

The staff at this property were completely useless and sketchy. To start, we checked in for 2 rooms and they required us to give a deposit in cash. I have never had to give a deposit in cash, it’s always been on a card. The lady at the desk said our deposit for BOTH rooms was $100, 50 for each. No problem, we paid and moved on. The next morning, we noticed that one of our toilets was leaking and water standing in the bathroom floor. I threw towels down and went to call the front desk, all just to find out the phone doesn’t work. An employee then knocked on our door to ask if our toilet was leaking and came in to shut the water off. We then proceeded to go check out of both room. The employee, Willie, informed us that due to the toilet leaking, we will not be getting our deposit back for EITHER room. Even though the leaky toilet was not our fault. He then said the lady was supposed to charge us $200 for a deposit, $100 for each room. So it was marked in the “system” that we only paid a deposit for 1 room when the lady said the $100 covered both. While we argued with him, another lady came up to check out and get her deposit back and he said it “wasn’t in the system that she paid a deposit.” Long story short, we will never be staying at this establishment again, even though we enjoyed the town of Batesville, MS. The staff is very disrespectful, the facility is dirty and smells of trash, and the toilets don’t work. It honestly feels like a scam. 0/10 recommend.

The staff was wonderful, the place was clean and my daughter and I never felt unsafe.

When we arrived, room was miserably hot, AC was off. Turned AC on and it did blow cold air for a couple of hours. Around midnight AC stopped working. By 4am the room was miserably hot again. I called front desk asking for help, was told that there was nothing they could do because all rooms were full. Didnt offer anything to help. Window was able to be opened about 3 inches. I had to prop our small fan in open window to try to cool off room. It was still hot and we were sweating all night. We left early at 8am and both rooms next to ours had doors open and were empty. Do not waste your money at this hotel. We were tricked by pictures. Also the desk clerk tried to get me to give him $100 in cash, as a "deposit" after I had already paid up front online. I will be calling the chain owners because I want a refund.

Checking in the night auditor checked us in and was as cold as I’ve ever seen. Traveling Mississippi and just commented to my wife how polite and friendly everyone is…..then the auditor was the complete opposite. Room had a crack in the tub, room was semi clean. Have stayed at quality inn several times this one was disappointing

The TV remote didnt work. The door chain lock was broken. The sink stopper didnt work or drain properly. The breakfast was good.

Night Receptionist was not very friendly or knowledgeable. Breakfast was dried out muffins, severely bruised apple and terrible coffee. There was no vanity area in the bathroom-only a sink. Microwave discusting and didn't work.

The Bed was fantastic. Slept great. A/C worked well. Temperature was great. Shower Hot. Electricity worked. Plugged in all my Tech. Wi/Fi worked. Coffee in the lobby.

A number of items in our room did not work. It smelled bad and wasn't very clean at all. The staff was super kind and the breakfast was good and dining area was clean.

Place is clean, friendly staff, pool ok, and breakfast ok I had to make it clear of what I needed and they complied after I arrived Took time to put light back in bathroom and they cleaned only if asked to in room. Good to stay for price and area

Their new $100 cash deposit is an insult to this frequent customer and about 20 year Quality/Comfort Inn Choice Privilege points member. Breakfast staff is wonderful, breakfast meal is decent but basic and the place is clean
