Overall the stay went well. It was only one night. The pool is very tiny. Seems like a kiddie pool, the guy at the front desk said that’s how most hotel pools in Charlotte are. I wasn’t expecting to pay an extra $45 for parking. It’s basically the only option they have. But the Valet guys were nice and always on time.

Check in was at 4pm didn’t arrive until after 5pm room door was partially open (no explanation) AC was not cooling switched to another room for the same thing to be happening. Fans in lobby area. Hotel bar was closed which was not disclosed on website or during check in. Valet misplaced key and front desk called my room asking if I had the key.

Everything about my stay was great, except the parking. It was $42 for valet parking. there was only off property parking other than valet. That didn't bother me. My complaint comes from the fact i was charged the $42 by the hotel and then an additional fee by the parking group. I find the arrangement shady. Be upfront on the total cost of the parking. Say it will be $55, let me charge it to the room and let the hotel pay the $13 to the parking group. To make it clear, this isn't a complaint about $13. This is a complaint about transparency.

We always stay here when in town for an event at the Spectrum center. Hotel staff is always great and helpful. But per usual, the valet staff here is absolutely AWFUL. Checked in around 3pm Thursday, no one came to us, we had to walk up to them. Didn’t explain rates or info, just took our name and rode off. The valet who looked like he was in charge( had on a charlotte hornets beanie, didn’t get his name) didn’t even attempt to help or assist. For $65 a night to park, I’d expect more. The whole valet staff needs more training.

The room was clean, the hallways smelled fresh and the staff at check in/out was helpful. The valet parking staff were nice and quick, $42. I wish the restaurant/bar was open later than 10pm. Would have been a better option than walking around outside of the hotel. Several people sleeping and panhandling outside was a turnoff for the neighborhood so we stayed in.

I was surprised this hotel had received so many excellent reviews. I thought it was a little bit rundown from wear and tear. The bar was only open Friday night. It was closed for the rest of this day. Breakfast was OK. Coffee was hot. The bed was clean and comfortable, but the carpet had not been vacuumed well. the bathrooms needed a better scrubbing. The price was reasonable. The location was good. Parking is very expensive at the hotel and also in the lot, but we felt safe and the area was walkable.

There was Mold in the sink. You can tell the shower hasn’t been properly clean as there was build up of dirt and maybe even more mold around the shower door and even in the corners of the shower. It was some brown stains in the couch that could have been chocolate. Even the elevator was dirty. We will not be staying at this hotel again.

Bathroom was abominable. Caked dust on bathroom fixtures. Mold and mildew in shower, unknown matter on walls. Carpet torn and stained. Unable to get cold water from sink faucet-hot water was hot enough to scald. Lobby had no air conditioning. Bar was permanently closed. Wall decor peeling off the walls! Asked for the room to be deep cleaned and have before and after photos to show that there was no difference in the after.

The lobby/bar area of this hotel are beautiful. The second you step off the elevator on a guest floor, it smells musty, the carpet is stained and fraying and it’s muggy in the halls as if the don’t cool them. We had to have our room keys remade 3 times as we could not access are room upon check in; this was not user error, as the front desk agent very clearly believed. The room is severely outdated, neither of us showered until returning home as the shower and sink were both disgusting. There was a stain on the mattress pad which you could see through the sheets and again, the carpet in the room was fraying and stained and the air musty. Breakfast was cold. The front desk agent at checkout was great but both the agent at check in and overnight were less than helpful/friendly. Parking is 40$ valet only. Honestly, just stay away a holiday inn express at this point and save your money.

The overall appearance of the hotel and staff was great. Unfortunately, the room on my first night stay had mouse droppings. Housekeeping responded. I explained what I saw and took evidence of droppings to the front desk. I was told that it was from the tv. I checked again and actually looked behind the dresser and corner of room and took pictures. My room was changed. I spoke with the the manager befor checkout to reinterate what happened to express that I should be reimbursed for the first night. She explained that because it was through a 3rd party booking that I couldnt be reimbursed. I will share this information with my family and friends to be aware that if there are problems the hotel doesnt deal with this. I will reconsider booking through a 3rd party. You get what you get.

The room layout was really nice. It had a refrigerator and microwave however the bathroom was really dirty. You could see dirt crusted up around the edges of the counter and shower. You have no other option but to pay the valet parking which is $42 over night each night. There is no free parking anywhere around the hotel. The commentary breakfast was really good they have a lot options for breakfast. Overall it was okay for a nights stay.

Room, 1 King Bed: I loved my stay and it was a very enjoyable experience. My room was a corner room on the 15th floor and the view was absolutely amazing. The room was extremely spacious and had not only a desk but a couch, kitchen with utensils, a nice countertop stove and a well decorated space. The space was not smelly and smelled very clean. The bathroom was clean, but I feel as though it could have been cleaned a bit deeper around the calk on the bottom of the glass door(we had a walk-in shower which was huge). The morning breakfast was very tasty and plentiful, they also allow you to take a plate up to your room or eat in the cafeteria area which is very posh. All in all I rate my stay a 8/10, 2 point could have been given if the shower was given a deeper clean.

The room was missing curtains. Sheetrock patch in the bathroom that was never painted. Shower door was nasty. TV just has basic channels. Dish TV with half the channels "looking for a signal". Breakfast is just run of the mill buffet.

Checkin was a nightmare. Despite check in starting at 3pm when we got there at 4 our room was not ready and I was also told there were no more double rooms despite my booking. Waiting another 30 mins till the found us a room and got checked in barely making it to the event we were in town for. Room had mold bathroom ceiling, no wall mirror in room just marks where it had been. Mildew on inside of shower curtain. Staff were apologetic for the length of checkin and were nice.

I was very ill but was there to pick up 8 wk puppy. I can not thank everyone enough for all the care I was given. Breakfast Mama God bless you always. I reserved a two queen bed room weeks in advance for my sister and I. The day of check-in we arrived a little after 8pm. We were informed that there were no queen bed rooms (though we made a reservation) and only king bed rooms available. With no other stay options, we were stuck with the king bed room. Luckily there was a sofa bed in the room. The staff were friendly but not all that helpful in the situation other than being able to move us rooms the next day. We were only staying two nights so ended up just staying in the king room because it wasn’t worth packing up our room to move. Also, ended up stuck paying the more expensive rate though we took a lesser room. Will not be staying here again.

Upon check in I was told the room needed to be inspected and I would receive a text once that was done. I waited 45 minutes then went back up to the front desk and asked about the room which I was told it was ready. There were about 40 other people that were told the same thing about receiving a text when their room was ready and no one received a text. I believe check in could have been a smoother process.

Had to call 2 days in a row to get our room cleaned and they never showed up. Called front desk and took 1 hour to bring towels up to the room. Front desk staff is not friendly. Pool does not have lay flat seats only chairs. Fire alarm went off at 12:00am everyone had to evacuate, then went on again at 4:00am and then 7:00am water was brown after that.

Location was a block or two from the streets you need and the concert center. The light rail is right there , so not the cutest. However so easy to walk to all that Charlotte has to offer. The staff was super helpful, that was a plus.

The property was nice and convenient to restaurants. Front desk staff were very nice. We had a problem with the breakfast. Buffet was totally empty at 9:15. So, we did not get any breakfast. Normally, items are restocked until breakfast time has ended at 9:30. At least, with some choices. Most hotels, anyway.

Absolutely no complaints! Check in/out was easy, employees were all super friendly, convenient for the basketball game with a short walk, parking is worth it and convenient with the valet, and the breakfast was great! Looking forward to staying again!

Hotel was fine. Room has nice set up. No water in room. Forced to purchase for $3.50 per 16oz bottle. No stores nearby. No restaurant, just food from the bar. It was terrible and I'm not picky. Thankfully, the Midnight Diner is across the street. Great comfort food! Service excellent. Breakfast was pretty good. Omelets excellent.
