Fantastic location in the heart of Asheville downtown. Very clean, comfortable rooms. Convenient valet parking for $17. Friendly, helpful staff. Only thing it lacks is a hotel bar/ restaurant but the best restaurants and bars are a short walk from the hotel.

In the downtown area. Can walk everywhere. Parking is valet but we didn’t need our car, we walked. Valet was very fast when checking out. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, a little outdated as far as no USB connectors in room. No on site breakfast or coffee but they have machines in the rooms and plenty of food options around the area.

The location is excellent if you want to be downtown and walking distance to everything. My stay included complimentary valet parking and the parking attendant appreciated the gratuity so it was a win-win for everyone

A beautiful hotel which was once a department store - cleverly decorated and huge rooms - we loved staying there in walking distance of all kinds of restaurants and shops. Only thing disappointing was their restaurant wasn’t open and there was no pool. Excellent stay will return again. Valet was superb!!

Great location in downtown Asheville, within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Room was very spacious and comfortable. The conversion of a former department store into a hotel provided an interesting throwback atmosphere. Staff was very helpful restaurant recommendations and directions. Valet parking was super convenient, typically only waiting a couple of minutes to get our car.

Loved this hotel. Had a nice weekend and enjoyed the spa in the hotel. Hotel was located within waking distance to everything I wanted to visit this weekend. Staff went out of their way to be extra helpful. The room was so lovely and huge! Loved that this used to be a department store and it’s been repurposed and loved the little restaurant next to the hotel.

One of our best hotel stays ever...and we've stayed at some really nice properties. Our room and the common areas of the property were absolutely the most spotlessly clean facilities we have ever seen. The staff was great, the location in Asheville couldn't be better. If we could give a 6 out of 5 rating, we would.

The rooms were really nice, and the location is perfect. However, the second-floor lobby and hallway had a strong urine smell, resembling a dirty public restroom. It was very unpleasant.

Spacious clean room, has small refrigerator and keurig for coffee a plus. Valet parking convenient and courteous service. Convenient location in downtown Asheville, walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Would stay here again when in downtown Asheville.

The room that we were assigned was a superior King with a pullout bed. The bedding was dirty and gritty feeling on the king bed. The bedding that we received (because it wasn’t already in the room) for the pullout bed was also dirty, and had some red stains on it. The shower had hair in it and the sink had soap scum around the sink. We expressed that to the management that the room was very unacceptable and dirty.

Looks nice, but not great. Big chunk of mirror missing, mold or rot on the trim, pealing table top and dirty, stained ottoman. Plus the door plate was messed up. The floor was sticky, I spilled water and wiped it up, the towel was dirty from the floor. I had 3 reservations for 6 nights total. one night was wrong, instead of being nice and allowing one night to be changed, they charged me for it. They do not like 3rd party reservations...

We stayed one night in early August, 2023. Here's what we didn't like: 1. Our third floor suite was very noisy overnight, with most noise coming from the alley/street below, but much of it in the hotel itself: the room above us, the stairwells nearby, and the hallways. (This was just a Wednesday night, by the way, not a Friday or Saturday. I suspect that on weekends, particularly in summer, the noise from pedestrians is going to be exceptionally loud and continuous.) 2. The hotel wireless connections (there are two) were exceptionally weak and slow. 3. The television would turn on, but received no signal. 4. Large portions of the walls in our room were scuffed up and unattractive. 5. At check-in, the hotel pre-charged us $45 dollars for "incidentals". At check-out, I asked what the charge was for, and was told it would cover any beverages or snacks we might purchase from those available in the room, or would act as a penalty fee if we smoked in or damaged the room. I explained to the check-out clerk that we bought nothing in the room, did not smoke, and did not damage the room or its contents in any way. I then asked whether we could expect a refund of this "incidentals" fee but could not get a straight answer. What we liked: 1. The hotel is centrally located in downtown Asheville. A huge number of breweries, restaurants, and shops are in easy walking distance.

Room was cold but they did give us a portable heater. Constant lack of hot water - staff blamed the high occupancy at the hotel and stated that the one boiler was not enough to provide hot water to everyone, suggesting that we take showers at different times. Requested that the manager contact us twice and never received a call. Did get a slight discount on our four night stay. Overall a disappointing experience and will not stay here again.

Great location, great service and very good valet. Spacious room with sofa, sitting chair and a large bathroom. Because of the concrete construction and all wood floors the room and common areas on the guest floors are kind of loud.

This hotel has spacious rooms and a welcoming lobby, and the friendly reception staff are happy to pour guests a glass of champagne to enjoy in the atrium or their rooms. An old department store, it still has mannequins modeling the latest 1920s fashion on the different floors. It’s in the heart of town, walkable to shops & restaurants, but also a bit noisy. Our room was unfortunately above the dumpster area, so we were awoken by the beeping of trucks backing up. A reason to pack earplugs in your overnight bag!

We booked the suite for the jacuzzi tub which was incapable of filling with hot water. It is deceptive to list the tub as one of the suite’s amenities. It is not functional me and clearly has never been fully functional.

Our room was HUGE! What a great surprise to find all that space, a separate dressing room with mirrors and sink, a marble bathroom with jetted tub and shower, and a counter long enough to spread out toiletries. Clean, comfortable.

Nice room. Friendly staff. All good re the facility. But, the room overlooked an alley with what seemed to be dumpsters and a truck backed in and out from before 5:00 AM until around 7:00 AM, with its loud and annoying beeping alarm every time it backed-up. Spoiled the stay and will keep us from returning.

Enjoyed the hotel very much. I rated the condition lower because the A/C was not operating properly. The room was cold and did not respond to the thermostat. Hotel provided me with a blanket and a portable heater which helped.

This used to be our favorite place to stay when visiting Asheville and where we stayed for our honeymoon 20 years ago. We have been back several times since then and spent our 20th anniversary there last weekend. For the most part, the previous stays have been very nice. The hotel looks like it has not had any significant updates since we first went there. Even the furniture looked the same. The mattress on the bed was in poor shape and slanted towards the middle and had no box spring for support. The shower had very poor water pressure and was luke warm at best (as was the water in the tub) when the dial was turned all the way to hot. We notified the staff several times about the shower and maintenance may have been sent, but with no appreciable improvement to the water pressure or temperature. There were some other issues, but minor in comparison to the water issue. We will most likely stay at a different hotel or rent an air bnb our next trip to Asheville which is a shame because we have had great experiences at the Haywood Park Hotel in the past.

The staff was amazing! Jam, Jenna, Jackson and Matt were some of the friendliest and helpful I’ve ever met! These guys are super stars! Thank you! The property is amazing and decorated perfectly! It’s truly stunning. The room was clean and neat and every amenity worked as it should. It was a joy staying in such a well manicured facility. The only negative to this stay was the water temperature. I’m not sure if they were having difficulties or the water heater isn’t big enough but the temperature in the shower or tub never got above luke warm at any time. I spoke to a few other guests on my floor and they said the same thing. It’s not a deal-breaker by any stretch but after a long day of walking and playing it’d be nice to take a hot shower.

The minute we arrived it was a pleasant experience. We were greeted by the valet Owen who promptly unloaded our car on a trolley and rolled it in for us to check in. Aurelia welcomed us at the desk and offered us champagne (very nice welcome after a long drive!). It was a quick and easy check-in and we were off to our room. Our room was VERY spacious and had a large, comfortable couch and relaxing TV area. There was a small fridge, microwave and Keurig. There was also a nice dining table and a desk. Loved the location, the friendly staff and beautiful, comfortable room.

We had no hot water during our recent stay, rendering us unable to shower. When we called the front desk, we were told that it would be reported to maintenance. No apologies, no offers to change rooms, dismissed as if nothing was wrong. The front desk staff was too busy playing solitaire on the computer than to attend to his customers. I asked to speak with a manager and was given an email (that didn’t work!) on a Post It note! On the other hand, the valet attendant was fantastic! Energetic and attentive. Called and reached a manager who comped our stay. I wouldn’t be in a rush to return!

The hotel is clean and new but the service was lacking. For a $350 a night room it was a disappointing stay. No controls for air or fan in the room so it was too warm all night. They only have ice at the front desk and I had to fetch it - no offer to send it up. I needed help with the room and called reception 3xs and no answer. The remote was impossible to use and we gave up. Minor inconveniences but enough to cross off the list of places to stay in Asheville.

Loved the elevator that announced the floor and department. Also enjoyed the clothes displays on each floor lobby. Rooms were well appointed. Only downside was the garbage trucks backing up at 5:30 AM each morning. The backing alarms were very loud.

This quiet hotel is located in the very heart of an active art deco downtown. It is easy walking to find eateries or alcohol options within a few blocks. Loved that! Shops nearby are boutique style and pricey, but is understandable, due to the city recovery efforts. We recommend the reasonable and friendly valet parking here, as street parking hard to secure. Our room was large and clean, king bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was outdated, but very large, with 2 sinks and a separate garden tub. Reception desk was always staffed and friendly, easy with information. No restaurant, bar, or room service in the hotel but you can find such close by. All in all - we will stay here again vs a "box" hi-rise hotel as we enjoyed the charm of Haywood Park.

Eclectic hotel located in historic building. Originally a department store; owners maintained some of the look from back in the day. Humongous room, great furnishings , comfortable. Felt like we were in someone’s fab apartment, not hotel room. Location is superb. Walking distance to everything, felt totally safe walking about. Staff super friendly, especially the valet department. Car quickly retrieved upon request, which is uncanny since parking space / areas is sparse. Valet attendants … great job. Restaurant located downstairs is great. One of the best meals we had was room service. Dinner & brunch both great meals. Definitely would recommend staying at the Haywood.

The Haywood Park Hotel began life as a department store, and the current ownership honors the heritage in clever ways, from displays of old photos to actual recreations of shop windows! The staff is wonderful, and aim to please. Parking is primarily valet (due to the downtown location), but retrieving your vehicle is easy and fast. Their Isa Bistro is a nice restaurant, and there are tons of restaurants, bars and taverns within an easy walk. Beds were very comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. There were always plenty of towels, too. We completely enjoyed our stay.

This was a great hotel!! The room was definitely bigger than expected which was beneficial for our family of four and dog! The hotel was super close to a lot of things to do! The restaurant in the hotel was PHENOMENAL! Would definitely recommend and will stay again!
