The hotel was being remodeled. The outside looked bad only because of this. Would I stay again? Yes! The people at this hotel were very helpful and kimd. Most importantly the room was clean.

Always clean. Great service. The facility is old but well maintained. It would be great if you could construct a pavilion on the grounds so smokers can stay out of the rain.

One thing I learned after staying at this hotel was to not judge a book by its cover. Upon pulling up to the hotel, I was concerned. First, it is in a somewhat desolate area with very little around. Secondly, the sign off the highway looks as though a bomb went off in it. Lastly, the photograph on Expedia was not a good representation of what the actual exterior looks like. At night, the sign on the building has a lot of the lights burned out and overall, was not very inviting. We ended up staying and were glad that we did. Once we got to our room, we found that it was much nicer than the exterior would have indicated. It was also very clean. You can tell that the owners had taken the time to ensure that the interior was well taken care of prior to addressing the exterior issues. They were in fact, redoing the outside of the building while we were there. It in no way impacted our stay. The price for the rooms was very good considering how nice the interior was and mostly because the owners did such a great job in ensuring the rooms were clean. We really didn't notice any unclean areas in our room. The only actions I would recommend the owners take is to replace the coffee machine. It looks pretty old and does not present itself well with the plastic being stained from many years of use. I would also recommend cleaning the windows from the outside. Those are minor issues. Overall, I will definitely stay here again when I return to the area.

We could lock it from the inside/outside. May the woman at the front desk aware of it, said it would be fixed, came back hours later, not done. Best thing about this place, the ice machine.

Being 2 people with asthma was horrible and filled the hallway and our motel room. Second night was good. Had to pay $20 extra for dog which didn’t see that in contract when made reservations. Owner tan after us to collect the $40 for the dog lol!

This is a horrible hotel, filled with mold and mildew. When I asked for a refund it was refused, I stayed 10 minutes and could stand it no longer. Terrible, Terrible, Terrible!

Booked this hotel online while traveling. Owners were very nice. The wife gave me a start of an edible plant she had growing. The room was very clean and you could tell the paint was fresh and tile floor was kept clean Comfortable mattress. Checkout easy. Will stay again.

This is a hidden gem. I can’t say enough good things. Peaceful, clean, very nice owners.

It’s an older place and you can tell they did some little repairs to the room but we didn’t care. Just a little get away for the night. Pillows were a little hard. Bed was comfy though. Quiet and air conditioner worked great so we were able to keep it nice and cool in there. Lady at the front desk was supper nice and helpful. Easy to check out. We just left our key in the box up front since there was no one at the desk since we had to leave so early. Was so much easier for us since we had to be up so early. Everything was very clean. Well taken care of.would stay again if we ever take a small trip like this again.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were not that impressed. It is not a big hotel, and from the outside it doesn't look like much. The check-in was reminiscent of an old, small, motel, However, the check-in was simple and very pleasant. When we entered the room, we were shocked and amazed at the cleanliness and condition of the room. The beds were extremely comfortable. The bathroom was very clean, and the shower and sink both had great water pressure. Everything worked and nothing was broken. If there was anything that could be improved upon, it would be to add a free hot breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling thru the Marion, IL area.

Super cute Inn, huge rooms and beds, very clean and close to a pizza/subway and gas station so super convenient!

They had my information and quick with the room.

Are use Expedia only out of fear that using too many would create theft. This motel insist on keeping a copy of my credit card, which I used through you. I if she is keeping a copy of my credit card, there seems to be a problem of very big one now do these people intend on selling my credit card number later. Keeping a copy of my credit card number or charging a $100 fee or on top of the bill I pay to you is also not the answer.

The stay was quiet. The room was comfortable and clean. It served our purpose. The only critique is we couldn’t get anyone to the desk to check us out and I am not comfortable leaving my keys in an open box where anyone can grab them. In the end I just slipped them inside the window.

Things happen. Was not able to make it, for a good reason. Would not allow a change of dates or refund.

Quaint. Lake of Egypt area and out of the bustle of Marion proper. A little dated; but pretty good bang for your buck. Rooms are nice. Beds are comfortable and if you want a hint of curry...you may want to bring some. Stay here - a no nonsense inn.

This was a perfect, inexpensive stay, which is exactly what we needed in the area we needed it to be. Close proximity to Lake Egypt and Marion. Simple, no frills, convenient.
