Just spent a great couple of days in Penrith staying at Abbey House. This fabulous b&b is right in the heart of Penrith so you can park up and easily walk everywhere. Vicki, the owner, is so welcoming with lots of tips on local restaurants etc. The house is immaculate, I'm a clean freak and the place was absolutely spotless. We stayed in room 4 which was very spacious with a lovely ensuite and a very comfy bed. Breakfast is served in the attractive dining room with a good selection of fruit & cereals and a variety of cooked options. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back.

As B&B ‘s go it wasn’t bad, the breakfast was lovely, parking round the back was fine. Wasn’t much room around the bed but we’re not too big!

The property was situated on a busy main road with on road parking and a permit provided by B&B , which was hassle free. We booked room 4 on the first floor.The room was clean, spacious, light and airy. There was an eco shower in the shower cubicle with complimentary toiletries. The bedroom was provided with tea and coffee making facilities. The menue was good and the american pancakes ordered scrumptious. Vickie, the proprietor was welcoming, warm and friendly.

Room was immaculate and spacious. I was worried about parking but it wasn’t a problem as I was able to get a space outside the front, and the back if I wanted. If you need to check in later than 8/9pm it isn’t a problem; just give them a call and they’ll arrange it with you. Breakfast was decent too! The only negative (a very minor point) is that the shower head appeared to have brewer’s droop! Other than that it was fabulous. I would definitely stay again.

Good communication prior to arrival as we were arriving outside normal check-in hours. Clean and comfortable facilities gave us a great night's sleep. Very good breakfast served by a host who was genuinely friendly and welcoming. Only there for one night as on our way elsewhere but definitely a place to use if staying in Penrith.

A 5 min walk from the station but convenient to everything. We were a little early on checking in but it wasn’t a problem. The host is pleasant and helpful. It is of coarse an old building so the floor creeks but Double pane windows make it a nice quiet place. I wish we were staying longer.

A really nice B&B. Very comfortable and welcoming. The owner, Vickie was very helpful and friendly. Unusually for hotels, it has Sky tv in the room which was a nice bonus. We'd definitely say here again. Highly recommended.

A fabulous stay. Easy walk into the centre of town. Host was really helpful and recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner. Room was beautiful with the added bonus of robes. Breakfast was amazing. Excellent value for money. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Hosts Vickie and Gary were terrific. I left my phone in the cab and Gary very kindly made a few phone calls, determined who the cab driver was, found that the cab driver had my phone, and drove me back to the train station to retrieve it from the cabby. Vicky‘s breakfasts were superb and my room was everything I could hope for. Thank you, Vicky and Gary, for a wonderful introduction to Penrith.

A 5 min walk from the station but convenient to everything. We were a little early on checking in but it wasn’t a problem. The host is pleasant and helpful. It is of coarse an old building so the floor creeks but Double pane windows make it a nice quiet place. I wish we were staying longer.

Just spent a great couple of days in Penrith staying at Abbey House. This fabulous b&b is right in the heart of Penrith so you can park up and easily walk everywhere. Vicki, the owner, is so welcoming with lots of tips on local restaurants etc. The house is immaculate, I'm a clean freak and the place was absolutely spotless. We stayed in room 4 which was very spacious with a lovely ensuite and a very comfy bed. Breakfast is served in the attractive dining room with a good selection of fruit & cereals and a variety of cooked options. Thanks for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back.

A fabulous stay. Easy walk into the centre of town. Host was really helpful and recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner. Room was beautiful with the added bonus of robes. Breakfast was amazing. Excellent value for money. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The owners of this property have really paid attention to the details. Although unassuming from outside, the rooms are nicely finished including extras such as "rocky road "! The shower room is finished to a high standard with a very effective shower. Breakfast, once sgain, was well presented with a range of items, including a full breakfast, freshly cooked. Recommended if you're staying in Penrith or, like us, just breaking a long drive.

The property was situated on a busy main road with on road parking and a permit provided by B&B , which was hassle free. We booked room 4 on the first floor.The room was clean, spacious, light and airy. There was an eco shower in the shower cubicle with complimentary toiletries. Beautiful little b&b. All the small touches that you dont get with staying in a main stream hotel. Vikki is a wonderful host and makes a cracking breakfast. This was our second time staying here and we will of course be back again.
