Das Zimmer ging leider zur Straße, die sehr laut ist, ein Fenster kann man nachts also nicht öffnen. Außerdem hatten wir das Hotel ausgesucht, da auf der Internetseite Parkplätze erwähnt wurden. Tatsächlich verfügt das Hotel nur über einen einzigen Parkplatz, der besetzt war. Wir mussten also in ein benachbartes Parkhaus ausweichen, wo wir 35.- Schweizer Franken/Tag bezahlen mussten. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sparsam bestückt, die Käsescheiben waren nicht frisch, die Ränder waren verfärbt und rollten sich leicht.

Terrible si llevas más de una maleta chica. El elevador es pequeño, para entrar tienes que subir escaleras, después un elevador para 2 personas y acaso una maleta. Cuando bajas no llega a planta baja, alguien debe activarlo. Después de las 9 pm ya no hay nadie q lo haga. Olvídalo si llevas maletas, carreolas y niños como fue nuestro caso la sufrimos en cada entrada y salida. Igual y no era para nosotros solo debieran ser más claros en su información.

Good Hotel, Great Staff and Good Breakfast. No Parking on site but nearby garage @ 5 min walking distance. Noisy area due to tram running all the time but we were able to sleep without any issue. Easily Walkable to old town :-)

Das Hotel hat gar keinen Parkplatz (oder nur 1 und der war besetzt). Wir mussten für Fr 35.- in einem Parking in der Nähe parkieren. Das ist schon etwas Bauernfängerei, wenn ich ein Hotel mit Parkplatz suche.

Breakfast was good. Location was perfect, no need for a car as a tram stop is in front of the hotel. Restaurants and shops are nearby. Check in/out was quick and efficient. They don’t have a parking garage but there is a public one for 35 francs for the whole day about 1.5 blocks away. No complaints. Will stay there again

The hotel is just a few steps from the main train station. It’s at the centre of the city and access to everywhere is just easy. Although the hotel is old, it has been renovated and it’s very clean. The washroom/toilet is spotless clean as well as the linens. There’s no air conditioner but has a fan.

Stayed for one night when visting Bern. Great hotel. Super clean, helpful staff and the continental breakfast was terrific. It totally exceeded my expecations and I'd stay there again. Very close to the train station which is convenient. Highly recommend!

The Hotel was extremely well located. Staff was outstanding, rooms basic but very comfortable anr clean. A very good location, however keep in mind it is a very busy location and not ideal for quiet and peaceful sleep.

Wir waren nicht begeistert vom Zimmer 511. als wir um 22:00 ins Zimmer kamen war die Türe offen und nicht verriegelt und das Fenster stand weit offen. Unser Koffer lag überstellt am Boden. Das Bett hatte nur ein Duvet und fürs ein zweites lag ein Anzug auf dem Stuhl.Um ins Bett zu gelangen musste man über den Ecken vom Bett klettern weil das Bett über die Wand schaute und dabei der Fernseher noch im weg war. Sauber war das Bad auch nicht. Also unmöglich für diesen Preis den wir bezahlten.

The location of this hotel is close to the train station. Overall, it was alright. The room was on smaller side but had a balcony that you could stand on. The trams had stops right outside the hotel so if you had the windows open, you can hear the very loud squealing of the trams turning on the track. The window did stop almost all of the noise though. The bed is on the harder side and the pillow very soft. The breakfast was good and free. I stayed for 2 nights and I don’t think it’s one I’d want to stay in for a longer period of time. Overall, it was a room to spend the night in and it did its job

Selve hotellet har noget charme, med tæpperne på trappen og den gamle elevator. Vi havde et ille værelse øverst oppe. Rent og pænt sengetøj, og lidt hård men ok seng. Meget lille men ok badeværelse, håndklæderne var dog tynde og ru som karton. Gulvet på værelset var ikke pænt, og havde pletter overalt som om der var spildt væsker. Morgenmaden var indtil kl. 10 men kl. 9 var der næsten ingenting tilbage, og det var et ringe udvalg. De havde ikke nogen brødkniv, men kun et gammelt værktøj fra 1800-tallet til at skære brød med. Receptionens personale var venlige og rare.

We had a nice stay in Bern. The hotel is very well located, with quick walk to the main tourist attractions in the old town, and easy access to the tram. We had a rental car since it was said that parking was ''available''. turns out there is one expensive place for the whole hotel, otherwise we have to park in a public Parkin nearby for a high fee, or try to find a blue zone street parking and buy a parking card in the hotel. It did work out but was not ideal. Breakfast was ok but cold items only. Room was small but confortable and clean.

Great location. Unfortunately, the way to regulate temperature was only to open or close the window to let cooler air in but also lots of street noise. Also, no small refirgerator in the room so getting food and keeping it cold was impossible.

The walls appeared to be very thin and you could hear everything going in what felt like the entire building very hard to sleep before 1am due to this. Lack of fridge in the middle of summer also was very inconvenient

We are seniors in our 70s and 60s visiting Switzerland for the 1st time. We reserved 1-night stay in Hotel National Bern thru Hotel.com then decided to use Bern as base to do day trips, but at last minute no more room available thru Hotel.com. We reserved additional 3 nights thru Hotel National’s web site. During checking-in, Lady Tanja at reception desk looked at our physical conditions and offered possibility of 4-night stay without changing room. There were difficulties of two reservations in different room categories. With the help of her colleague Lady Malwina, Tanja patiently spent time to comb thru options and later informed us that the difficulty was resolved and we would not need to change room during our stay. The two lady’s warm help to seniors represents the high standard of customer service of Hotel National’s Bern. We have also experienced great service in breakfast room and daily room cleaning. Thank you.

All staff made us feel very welcome and no question was too much trouble for them. Suggestions were also made to allow us to save money. Great location, a short walk from the main train station and only a few blocks from the old town area. We used the Bern Welcome ticket to take a tram from almost right outside the hotel to the Gurtenbahn and had a lovely lunch at the top and rode the Rodelbahn Had a lovely time in Bern and would stay here again.

Very kind lady at the front desk who helped us with checking in, parking, the public transport and choosing dining options. The rooms are nice and the atmosphere is really cozy as well! Would stay here longer if we could!
