Palm & Tide Beachfront Hotel

Nice view but…… that’s about it needs updating bad swimming poo nasty. both elevators are broke down. We had to climb six flights of stairs. Key did not work had to go all the way back down and then all the way back up first night. Toilet runs all night and you can tell by the picture electrical is not so good.

Everything was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. The pool was clean and clear. Right on the beach and close to the pier.

If all you care about is the view, this is your place. I did not see or use anything that would qualify this place as a resort. Both of our beds didn’t have one true pillow, every pillow was a pillow case stuffed with sheets. All of the lotions or shampoos were empty. Part of the pool was roped off going into 4th of July week.

Checkin was at the holiday terrace next door which was not Made apparent on the website - made calls to the hotel no Answer because they do not have the phone forwarded and no one stays at the desk - security person had no clue what was going on and was hanging out at lobby - i had to check In next door at the terrace ice could Be purchased unlike Other hotels that provide ice

After prepayment for the stay, my card was charged an additional $196 - security+ resort fee. Should have known about that. Internet was non-existent. Place was run down. Elevator was spotty. Sometimes it got to our floor, sometimes it took several tries

No front desk help. Had to walk to the neighboring building to check in.

Great rate for last minute extension of our trip. We've stayed here in the past and it's a great location close to everything. Unfortunately, no one was at the front desk, had to go next door to check in. Really wish the fridge had a real freezer, would be so convenient. Too close to the top and food freezes but stuff that should be frozen wouldn't stay frozen. Had coffee and a pot, but no cups and only 1 sugar/creamer set. (Hate these, so wasteful. Either you use the sugar or the fake stuff, the other is most likely tossed.) I was able to get cups and flavored creamer from the lobby. Plenty of towels and now they offer pool towels. Rooms are clean, bed is comfy and TV is adequate. The door to balcony will not close completely and will not lock. The pool needs a lot of work, multiple places the concrete is broken and/or missing. The pool safety gates do not shut/lock without effort. Distance to the beach is short, the walkway has a shower and faucet to rinse off sand. Very spacious so travel up and down is not jammed.

Hotel is run down. The ice machine was broken and had to go to hotel next door. Had to change rooms because the first one hair blow dryer was broken and tv didn’t work

There were many outdated items in the hotel, the door to the bathroom was broke, there were cigarette burn stains on the sink, the stove didnt work, the phone cable from phone to wall was not tbere and they didnt fix it till our last day there. They never brought us new towels, the carpet and just overall condition of the room was trash. The pool was nasty, the wash stations were broke where you wash sand off your body and beach stuff. There was one nice lady at the front desk, the other two workers acted like they could care less if we got what we needed or not. Seemed to be a party hotel. People slamming doors and yelling all night. The doors had about a 1inch gap all the way around in our room so one side of the room staid hot due to hot air blowing in. Over all very disappointing for what we paid to stay there for 5 nights. They should be paying people to stay there untill everything is brought up to date, and worth staying at.

Our stay was horrible! The unit was very outdated unclean. No communication. There was a phone. It didn’t work. The pillows were lumpy. I never saw the cleaning people. We never got new towels. There was hardly ever anybody at the front desk. I will never stay there again! I expect a refund because the property was not as it was advertised.

Pros - the beach was beautiful and clean; Karen at the front desk was wonderful! Cons - room was dirty. Shower curtain was moldy.

Checked in room to find hair ball in the toilet, no towels, toilet paper or blankets. Opened the stove and there was a pan with molded chicken wings and stunk bad. We were moved to 2nd room didn’t have those issues. However bring house shoes the carpet is gross and the room needs a good deep clean along with repairs.

There were so many issues with this hotel. It needs to be condemned. Health/ code really need to inspect this building. I rented three rooms and all three rooms had roaches, bed bugs, bed lice and spiders. Not to mention the mold and mildew, and filthy bed, mattresses, appliances, etc.

The room was soooo gross! All the walls were dirty, food stains on the ceiling, I felt gross touching anything! Bugs in the room, the microwave was on top of the fridge and hung over the freezer so you couldn’t open the freezer. Musty smell that even lighting a candle couldn’t combat. Bed was so hard - we put our stuff down, went to the ocean, came back and booked a room at a new hotel. No, I didn’t get a refund, I just had to pay for a whole new place- that’s how bad it was there!!!!I could not stay there, it was that bad!!!!! Avoid like the plague!!!!!!

The shower had great pressure. Room was ready early and we were able to check in 1 hour early. Room was not clean when we arrived. Floor was visibly dirty. Toilet and tub had hair. Bathroom sink was dirty. Refrigerator whad spills down the door. Balcony had sand and shells on the floor. No hair dryer. No remote for second tv. Got it right after the third. Not on thermostat "DO NOT TOUCH". Had it not been booked third party i would had gotten my money back. We checked the beds and cleaned the rest. I am very disappointed. Hard to say if i will ever book through a third party again and i will never stay at a "by the sea" again

Bathtub had hairs on the walls like they didn’t even bother cleaning the bathroom. As soon as you walked in the room the smell was disgusting. Every other person staying there was smoking weed and the whole hotel smelled like it. The carpet in the room was so dirty it felt sticky and my socks were black from walking from the bathroom to the bed. Never again!!! Absolutely disgusting. Do not take your kids there.

Staff was friendly and parking was great. However the building needs some serious updates. Had an irritating smell and the doors didn't close all the way so you heard constant whistling from the wind. You get what you pay for but would not stay again.

Plugs in kitchen and bath didn’t work. Flimsy furniture on balcony and no seating in the room, only beds.

Mattress placement in the bedroom is not right, they should rearrange

Balcony door was very hard to open, room didn't have coffee maker , the walls in the room are due for an upgrade (peeling in the corners) and any time you turned A/C down (gets pretty cold) you can feel the drops of water from the ceiling (mold/moisture). When in shower, you would constantly have to turn of water for some drainage from the bathtub.

Location, location, location! You can walk out the back of the hotel and straight onto the beach. While the bed was good, as was the bathroom/shower, the room was desperately in need of refurbishment. However everything was just functional and when combined with the low cost we paid it was worth it for the location.

Location was good. Coffee in the libby was excellent. The room was spacious. Mattress needed a topper. One of the mattress pads had a dark, dried, fluid looking stain. Not one full length mirror to be found. Bathroom was small and dated, with extremely dim lighting.The balcony needed a serious cleaning.

Check in at building next door . Did arrive late so maybe during the day it is different. The carpet was old and dingy. Loud surroundings. Get what you pay for. It was a last minute booking.

The location is perfect but our room needed some repairs: blow dry is not working. I didn’t bother using it or else I will be electrocuted. The exhaust fan in the bathroom is broken. The balcony door lock is broken. Rm 603 is the BROKEN room!

The king size bedrooms don’t have kitchenette’s. Which was disappointing. Great location for the beach but if you have an suv good luck parking in the small spots

The staff was super friendly and responsive to my every need and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant experience. This property is right on the ocean and the value and service received was excellent.

I just wanted to shoutout Ms. Karen at the front desk. She checked us in super quick. We got there hours early but she was prompt to call me once our room was cleaned and ready. We spoke every morning we were there. She even recommended a couple places for us to check out and go eat at. Thank you for your hospitality!

Do not stay at this property. They offer relative cheap prices on internet but charge you a resort fee at the property. This hotel does not have reception and they let you book in at the hotel next to this hotel. We had to wait for more than 45 mins to get checked in as there was only 1 person at reception. When i was checked in i received a very dirty not cleaned room. I went back to check in and after 15 min i received another room. Also this room is outdated and dirty. My advice is to stay in another hotel and if you include this hotel resort fee they are not more expensive and it will safe you a lot of time at check in and you will stay in a much cleaner and better maintained property

The property didn’t have staff to keep up the hotel had to go next door and they were rude had to wait for my room until after 5pm and didn’t get the room we booked was charged extra fees here while they had other guests smoking all around the property overall would not stay or recommend for nobody the only thing nice about this place was the maintenance lady and the receptionist Karen

Great staff - Deanna! She was informed and caring for the customer who is there. Quick and effective service as always! That was our 4 visit in last 3 years.

I booked this hotel since it was located on the beach. We did receive a room with a private balcony facing the ocean, which was nice. The staff was always pleasant, and I could tell they cared. We did get ice next door at the sister property, and I feel the ice machine and area surrounding could have been cleaner. The pictures on the website truly should be updated as they are misleading. The property is quite outdated, and the "kitchenette" was not as pictured, and the refrigerator had rust marking all along the door/sides. I feel the staff did their best to clean the room, but I also realize due to it being so outdated, that is very difficult to maintain. The staff was quick to ensure we had the extra towels as requested and they definitely were working hard. A few of the outlets did not work in our room. I do feel the hotel was overpriced due to the overall condition of our room. We did not have any issues with the air conditioning!!! That was definitely a plus considering how hot it was during our stay. The staff at Beach Tower Beachfront Hotel should definitely be commended for their professionalism and politeness. I would have loved to leave a better review, but I believe the owners need to provide proper updates and upkeep of the property to gain repeat customers.

Definitely needs some tlc and updating. The wallpaper had bubbles in it and the room just generally felt run down. We couldn’t use the balcony because water from the AC for the room above was dripping off their balcony and spraying on to us. The people were very friendly. The view of the beach and pier were great and the proximity to restaurants was convenient.

The Wi-Fi didn’t work that well the air condition cover on the balcony kept falling off the televisions are outdated the only breakfast it was were oranges and coffee. What kind of breakfast is that?

They didn’t have bedspreads/blankets on the bed-said they were “out” due to a new laundry service. The continental breakfast as advertised was merely prepackaged muffins and 5 pieces of fruit. My bathroom had pubic hair in the tub

Check-in at the hotel is suppose to be at 4:00 pm, we got there at 4 and were told we'd have a 10 minute wait due to staffing issues and that they were trying to get rooms cleaned. After almost an hour, we still didn't have a room so my husband asked what was happening and asked for a manager and the gentleman at the front desk was able to get us a room. The manager wasn't there at any point in our stay to discuss the issue with and this was a continued issue with other guests checking in the entire time we were there. When we finally got to the room, the coffee pot was full with old coffee, dirty towels were left hanging in bathroom, and the shower curtain was yellow at the bottom so I'm not sure why we had to wait an hour since the room wasn't really clean. The beds had sheets and pillows on them but we had to put the comforters on ourselves. Both the kitchenette sink and tub back up so be prepared to be in ankle/wrist deep water. We paid ~$75.00 in resort fees, but we're unclear of what the fees were for as there was no gym, breakfast, housekeeping, management, beach towels, or amenities that would warrant resort fees, so I'm assuming it's for the view.

We were visiting our daughter so the location was important. We found that having a kitchenette was wonderful since we didn’t have a car. The kitchenette was a little outdated and the bathroom didn’t have a lot of space to put toiletries. We would stay here again the next time we visit.

It is not the best looking property. It’s ran down and need updates. However, we were grateful it was right on the beach for the low price we paid to stay there. It had a full service kitchen and we appreciate that because it saved us on food. We cooked instead of spending extra money on restaurants. Our last visit to PCB, we spent a lot on food and it was not to our standard. We’re use to a better cuisine in NOLA. The stuff was attentive and showed great customer service. I would stay there again due to the convenience and price.

I like the fact that it was right in front of the beach I like the fact that I was able to just walk out and walk on the beach and the pier and go fishing. I did not like that the roaches were all over the stove and oven were dirty the microwave was dirty there was trash under the bed trash behind the TV the doors don't close properly that like they should it wasn't clean and staff had an attitude when it was brought to their attention.

This place has very good accommodations. Quiet - couldn’t hear any sound from adjacent rooms. It has easy and ADA friendly access to the beach. The unit was very clean and had great views of the beach, the pier, and the Gulf. The kitchenette was convenient for preparing breakfast and had good sized refrigerator, dinnerware, and cookware. Our stay was very pleasant.

I liked the way the employees were there to help and the closeness to the beach and the comfort of the bed and the cleanliness of the room the only dislikes would be the coke machine didn’t work the lighting in the room was very bad and our televisions were very unclear and we couldn’t hook up to stream

Kitchenette had no place to sit down and eat, one ruined frying pan, wait a minute no pans, had to ask for silverware, not very clean, had to walk down 7 flights of stairs because the elevator was so slow.
