Casa Mia Suites

Wonderful suite. Had everything needed. Clean, the front desk was attentive. Parking was provided via valet, if you have a rental or personal vehicle you’ll need to park it with valet away from property. Location is great, you’ll walk plenty up hill to get to it from center, you’ll also have the Mirador Plaza within an uphill walking distance. The top terrace has amazing views.

the biggest issue was a COMPLETE lack of onsite parking. when we were looking for a place to stay for two weeks of holidays, we had two main criteria. 1) onsite parking 2) a kitchen. THERE IS NO ONSITE PARKING. valet parking worked but it was not acceptable in my opinion. we feel that we were mislead by the statement "FREE SECURED, UNCOVERED SELF PARKING ON SITE" that is currently listed as one of the amenities. we will not stay at this hotel in the future as parking is a requirement for out type of holiday.

We stayed in room #8 for 2 nights in late October. It was spacious and we loved that there was a combined little kitchenette/dining/living room area. I personally found that the beds were comfortable- not too soft or too hard. There aren’t any easily accessible outlets in the bedrooms. AC is in the bedroom. No full length mirror anywhere which I found a bit disappointing. I liked that they provided 2 umbrellas and a shopping bag if you wanted to use them- nice touch. The bathroom sink area was very small and the lighting overall in the bathroom is poor. The towels are not the best- I recommend that you bring your own. The water pressure in the shower was a tad bit too much (and could not be adjusted) but I’d rather have it strong than weak. Water took a bit to drain in shower. Beautiful courtyard and rooftop lounge area. Didn’t hear much/or anything from our fellow neighbors. No elevator but they can help with bags. If you have a car make sure to give **at least** a 25 minute warning before you arrive. There is absolutely nowhere to park in front of the hotel- and they are located on a frequently used one way street. If you can help it at all- I highly recommend not you do not bring a car. Driving here is so stressful and there are transit officers just waiting for you to make a mistake to issue a ticket. I believe it’s 100% worth it to hire a driver/service to bring you into town. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

WOW. In one word. Very cool little boutique hotel with a rustic vibe. Super convenient and very centrally located. And best of all, probably one of the best rooftop terraces around. Had my coffee and late evening ice cream overlooking the city center. I could go on and on about this place.

Good location. Loved the terrace. The jacuzzi on the terrace worked! Grounds were old world and beautiful. Felt like Italy. Well equipped kitchen and bathrooms had enough toiletries.

Love this place, especially the terrace suite. A beautiful view, great place to dine. This is a beautiful, quaint and clean hotel. I highly recommend. The only issue is that the cable television doesn’t work well and the jacuzzi was not functioning despite requests that it be repaired. . Otherwise, I would return

We stayed at Casa Mia for 3 nights in June. Sadly, we couldn’t wait to check out as the sewer gas smell was terrible. The front desk said it was “fixed” but it wasn’t. We stayed because of good reviews but we’re not seeing why.

Un lugar muy bonito y acogedor, localizado muy cerca del jardin principal. Cuenta con todo lo necesario y mas para una estancia comoda. El personal es muy amable y el patio es muy tranquilo fresco. Mi única queja es que hay demasiado polvo acumulado en lugares como la luz del baño, la parte superior de las puertas de la cocina, y donde van las toallas de baño y el papel higienico.

The property is in impeccable condition. Clean and modern.Very convenient to everything plus the parking was on property. The proprty was real safe and secure and The staff was very courteous and very welcoming,always concerned that we didnt have any issues. Very professional and exceptional. I would diffinately stay here again and highly recomend this property to all..Once again I Thank You..

Our experience as a family was decent. The room was sizeable and had good amenities, and the bed was squeaky but comfortable. However, we weren't notified in advance that there was ongoing construction that was extremely noisy during the day. The water was occasionally cut off with no notice and the water pressure overall was quite low. The room wasn't cleaned as thoroughly as I would have liked, particularly the shower area. On one occasion, the room wasn't cleaned despite the front desk staff explicitly asking me if we needed service. The staff was generally helpful and assisted with organizing airport transportation. The location is excellent and centrally located in a walkable area.

We absolutely loved our stay! The neighborhood was great, the room was clean and the staff were very friendly. This is now my favorite place to stay in SMA and I’ll definitely be back.

Beautiful courtyard right out of Coco movie. The rooms are large, but being a middle aged woman, the third floor walk up isn’t a great choice. The stairs were winding and steep. The beds were comfy and warm. The kitchen had a fridge, sink and dishes. The view from our room was stunning. We had a view of the beautiful church.

Really loved this hotel. Absolutely beautifully decorated. I got a 1 bedroom apartment/suite. Very spacious. Bed was very nice. Kitchen was stocked with plates, utensils, glasses, cooking pans. It has everything. The view from the roof and my window was amazing. I was on 3rd floor. There are no elevators. The only drawback was the non existent internet. If you have a tablet or laptop and you need to work on it, you'll need to have a hotspot from your cell phone. That is my only issue with this hotel. But having said that, i would stay there again. I really liked it.

The mattresses were the hardest we have ever had. My partner had to drag the sofa cushion onto the bed so she could sleep. I'm 5'9" tall. If I were one inch taller I would bump my head on the ceiling of the bathroom.

Very nice kitchen with refrig, microwave, stove, blender, dishes and pots and pans. Separate living room with a tv so we were able to have privacy when we wanted it. Great view. Comfortable bed. Water, coffee, toiletries were provided. Easy walk to plaza and restaurants (uphill walk back). Great bakery close by.

Everyone was very helpful. The mattress)?) on bed in suite 16 was so uncomfortable it was very hard to relax and fall asleep just to be honest. The noise from the unit outside the front door was not helpful but was better with bedroom door closed.

This is a great value in a good location. We had the two bedroom family room which was roomy and well equipped. The only caveat is it faced the busy street Correo. For light sleepers or late risers a room at the rear is a better choice. It is somewhat simply furnished but very cheerful and our room even furnished robes, umbrellas, and a mesh shopping bag. I thought over all it was a terrific value.

Nice and quiet , very clean room and kitchen area, rooftop access WTH awesome view of the town , however WiFi was weak and never had access to tv service as advertised

I stayed at beautiful Casa Mia December 1st. thru the 9th. I was very impressed with wonderful suite l stayed in, room 16. It was fully equipped with more than l needed, great TV with all the channels, lovely big, clean, crispy, bed, the view was spectacular. Close to city center, maybe 5 minutes walk downhill, uphill, l suggest a green and white taxi if you don't like to trek up the hill, taxis are everywhere, and only a few dollars. Also, if you need a ride to the airport, reception can arrange a taxi for the day of your departure. San Miguel de Allende is a truly magical place, incredibly romantic, with wonderful warm people. All in all, Casa Mia gets 5 gold stars from me, in fact, l was so impressed with this beautiful city, l've decided to move there in February. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautiful room and grounds!!! The service was excellent. They were kind of enough to hold our luggage and lend us towels to go to one of the local thermal waters nearby on our last day. This was after we had already checked out. Again, great service!!!

We loved Casa Mia! Quiet, beautiful plant- filled patio w/ fountain, & our suite had everything we could have asked for.The king bed was like sleeping in a cloud, so perfect! We loved the roof top terrace w/ full view of San Miguel, breathtaking at sunset! It was a short walk down to the main plaza. The staff were warm, friendly & helpful. Kudos to Angel, Gilberto & Brenda for helping us with every little thing. We highly recommend Casa Mia to all!!

We enjoyed our stay at Casa Mia. We had a suite with kitchenette and refrigerator; everything we needed. They have a beautiful rooftop for gathering with your morning coffee or for a bottle of wine in the evening. The beautiful center courtyard is buzzing with hummingbirds all day. Employees are all super nice and accommodating. Carlos was in touch with us a couple of weeks before our visit and set us up with Erick for transportation from Queretaro airport. The location of Casa Mia was perfect. We walked all over San Miguel every day and enjoyed great meals and all the attractions we had heard about. There are many rooftop restaurants which are so nice. So many cafes for breakfast and coffee. Weather was perfect. We did wear pants and jackets in the evening and everyone we saw had good walking shoes on at all times.

Like: The hotel is located within walking distance of the civic/plaza, restaurants, cathedral/churches, & museums. Dislike: During the booking process, it was never mentioned that there's no curb side parking to check-in and unload your luggage. My wife and I had to leave our rental car momentarily in the middle of the street in order to unload our luggage. The good thing is that they offer free valet parking; however, you need to call the hotel 20-25 min in advance of arriving to alert them so that the valet person can meet you in the street and take your vehicle to an offsite parking area. What I did find out is that parking on the street is very difficult; and that most hotels located in downtown area offer valet parking. Just make sure to contact the hotel directly if you intend to be driving a car. Other than getting into a heated argument with the hotel clerk about doing a better job about explaining the valet parking process, my wife and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel; and the staff was overall friendly. Oh, they need to replace the old mattresses. Definitely, would stay here again I would have given a 4.5 star rating if it wasn't for the argument with the hotel clerk about the valet parking process.

The staff is excellent. Spoke with Carlos at Casa Mia Suites soon after booking our vacation on Expedia. He confirmed our reservations and asked if we needed transportation from the airport. With four of us and a lot of luggage he suggested sending a Suburban or Van to pick us up. He stayed in constant contact after securing us transportation. Making sure we knew exactly who was picking us up and making sure the driver knew the flight we were coming in on. Carlos checked us in once we arrived at Casa Mia and let us into one room a little early so we could leave luggage and explore the town until the other room was ready at the usual check in time. Rooms are great very authenticly decorated as is the entire property. Rooms were spacious and clean and we had the junior suites the smallest rooms on property. Excellent service the entire time the staff would assist in arranging any of our needs. Called a driver and schedule a vineyard tour as well as calling taxis when needed. The only thing that was a little of an issue is the hot water for shower. Both rooms took a while to get hot water and you had to find the right spot on handle to get it. Shower heads might need to be changed probably just calcified as well as the diverters. The hotel is located on a street that inclines slightly the first few blocks but get steeper about a block away. When we were tired from walking around the town we would just hail a cab to avoid walking that hill. A cab was about 90 pesos.

Upon arriving, because I had my parents (just 2 more guests)- the Hotel staff charged me for them! after I had pre-paid for my hotel stay. I was charged what was equivalent to almost $80USD!! this was ridiculous!!

This hotel was absolutely gorgeous. The location was also perfect and incredibly close to the Zona Centro. The nearby restaurants on the same street are also fantastic. The staff was super friendly and helpful and even helped us set up a tour of the city and schedule a ride to Guanajuato city. I can’t wait to visit San Miguel de Allende again!

I like almost everything with one exception. All the guys that work at the lobby were really friendly and helpful, but one young lady. She needs to work on her customer service skill. She is kind of rude. The guy with the glasses is great and so It's the tall skinny guy.

Quaint well maintained hotel. The staff was very helpful in arranging transport to and from the airport. Close proximity to everything. Enjoyed out stay.

From arrival to departure the convenient location and staff attentiveness were as we expected from customer reviews. The western views from Suite 16 and the rooftop terrace were beautiful at every time of day. With western exposure comes prolonged sunshine and heat. The bedroom had a ceiling A/C which was efficient and quiet as was the ceiling fan. The outdoor temperature was excessive as we all knew from weather reports. The kitchen and family room were hot but we adapted. No A/C there so: close the curtains during hottest daylight; open screened windows for cross ventilation to take advantage of the outside air temp as beneficial. The suite has windows on 2 sides and opening the front door offered a 3rd air flow. Walking uphill or down from Casa Mia brought a multitude of picturesque destinations along cobblestoned walks: el Mirador viewpoint, Parque Benito Juarez, el Chorro hill; Parroquia Cathedral, Fabrica la Aurora galleries, the Art Institue SMA, the Canal family mansion/museum with stunning Guanajuato artist's collections and free entry. This is a very small representation of great places to visit. SMA is a Very friendly place and used to tourists. If you see a doorway, look inside. Just by chance we found many amazing courtyards - cool and filled with beauty. We are both in 70 years old and walked everywhere, but we saw that taxis were easily available. Our front desk offered many ideas and directions, but local community will keep you busy in a living postcard.

The location is excellent, just slightly up hill from the main church and town square. It is far enough from the center to be quiet at night, and close enough to be convenient to everything. I highly recommend this place.

Location was perfect. Literally right up the street from the main plaza and church. Rooms were very clean. We liked the fact that some rooms have a full kitchen. We made breakfast in the mornings before heading out into town each day. The only negative I have to say is that the water pressure of the shower wasn’t the greatest. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here for the second time visiting San Miguel de Allende and such a beautiful property. I was recommended to stay here by some friends and family who have previously been. Close enough walk to everything and rooms are spacious. Air conditioning, kitchen area, and even a living room area in every room. Definitely worth staying here!

This place is magical definitely would stay again ! If you want to be close to everything this is the place. I loved it so much just wished it had breakfast but its so good it's fine! Clean and beautiful and it has an amazing view!

PROS: El personal muy gentil. La abitacion muy amplia, con cocina, comedor. Solo televisor en la sala. Aire acondicionado en la recamara con ventilador. El hotel es muy centrico, llegas caminando al centro en corto tiempo. Cafe en la recepcion. Una terraza muy linda. CONS: Expedia menciona estacionamiento en la propiedad. Al igual que desayuno. Pues no hubo/incluye desayuno. El estacionamiento es valet de cortesia a 4 cuadras del hotel.

Lovely place to stay. Very charming. Great bakery and restaurant for breakfast just down the street, delicious pizza restaurant also down the street with beautiful roof top views.

The hotel is beautiful, close to everything, lot's of dining options available within a minutes walk, the room is big , fully loaded with everything you could possibly need, and the staff are just amazing.

We enjoyed having our own little space with small kitchen and dining room. The location couldn't have been better for walking to most of the major sites (squares, churches, museums) and there were many coffee shops, cafes and restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk.
