Toyoko Inn Tokyo Ikebukuro Kita-guchi No.1

Staff was impolite and wanted to charge a kid for a pillow which is already included in the booking. No milk or yogurt for breakfast. No cleaning during 3 days stay, staffs not even picking up a piece of tissue dropped on the floor. Over 10 min walk from Ikebukuro station, passing through a lot of night clubs and bars, not safe for children.

Otimo hotel

The hotel is 3 minutes away from the ikebukuro west station. It is easy to locate with the big sign that lights up in night. The staff are sweet and nice. You can check your suitcases and items there before your actual check in time of 3PM. They provide you with a key for your items that you provide to them. The room itself was huge and had a big bed. It was super comfortable and nice. You cannot hear anyone in your room. The breakfast was really delicious with lots of different types of meals to chose from.

They were efficient, very nice and helpful.

Our stay was reasonable, the breakfast didn't have lots of vegetarian options but I did expect as such - lots of choices for those who do eat meat/fish. The staff were very helpful with the luggage forwarding. Hotel is a little tired looking but clean and does the trick for a couple of nights.
