Tru by Hilton Georgetown

I loved the water fountain and ice. The pool could use more cleaning. It looked dirty. Room was fine, maybe softener on the towels.

I was placed in a room on the first floor after indicating 4 hours before check in that I did not under any circumstances want to be on the first floor. No flexibility with early check in. Staff said they would contact me as soon as a room was available and they did not. Bed linen did not smell fresh. The indoor pool was small and the water was cold. There were no cushions on the patio sofa in the pool area.

Hotel was great for a night stopping over on a long drive for the night. The pool was a good activity for the kids, though not super clean. Rooms were clean and staff friendly. Breakfast was perfect and workout room was equipped for a morning fitness activity.

Everything as usual was great. It’s about a 30 minute drive to Rehoboth Beach but well worth the drive. The pool is small but always open. There are great stores near it also.

The staff was awesome, always keeping up on cleanliness. I like that there was a filtered water bottle filler near the elevator in the lobby.

The pancake machine was super fun! Good pool (a bit dirty), great room-nothing fancy just the basics that included a fridge but not a coffee maker (coffe & tea were available 24/7 in the lobby) and friendly staff.

The hotel itself was really nice. The front desk receptionist was super cool. The lobby has 2 foosball tables! The surrounding area of Georgetown didn't look very safe (based on some of the characters we saw outside), but we didn't have any issues.

I have stayed here before and the hotel is well kept. Staff are welcoming. Breakfast in the morning is well prepared. Having a indoor pool is great as well.

Overall, the place wasn’t bad definitely a solid 3.5 stars. Lobby and gym were super clean. Everyone was friendly and the breakfast was consistently with other Tru. The rooms are a bit well used and not super clean, but it wasn’t bad, nothing to really complain about. The surrounding area at night gets a little bit interesting and I would not say it’s that walkable but during the day everything‘s fine and there’s a Starbucks right next-door in a Walmart basically across the street

Room was very dirty. The chair at the small table could have been the dirtiest thing I’ve ever seen in a hotel. We did our “bed bug” check and thank God didn’t see them but dear lord they need to dust/vacuum around the mattresses.

Very clean room and bathroom. Property was well maintained and safe. There was plenty of dining options in the plaza behind the hotel. The bed and pillows were too hard and too soft but thats a personal preference. We stayed on the 3rd floor so we heard the upstairs room occupant's every step. I can imagine that the people that stayed under us heard our steps too. They should put carpet in the rooms to alleviate the noise.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights on June 10-12,2024. My room was on the third floor room no.317, each night around 2 am, the air condition will start making a very loud noise until we can’t sleep. I had to get up turn it off and wait to turn it on again. Next morning I told the receptionist about this issue, she said she knew it because she stayed in the hotel. She want to sent the technician to come into the room to fix it but I don’t think it’s appropriate and I’ll stay only for another night and I hoped that the hotel will do something without getting in to my room. However the next night the A/C stared making loud noise again at the same time 2 am. Is your hotel and specific room 317 haunted? Please solve this problem.

Although this hotel is nice, new and clean, it was a terrible decision to put hardwood floors in the rooms. Stayed on the third floor only to be awakened by the tramping and pulling noises from the room above. Staff was nice enough to allow me to switch to a room above, but if one was not available, we would've been screwed!

Bed and pillows were hard.

Didn’t eat breakfast. Staff was fine. Didn’t use gym. Bed was very uncomfortable. Pillows also very uncomfortable.

I was really surprised on how minimalistic the rooms were. There is only one chair which was a desk chair, so one of us had to sit on the bed no type of furniture other than a shelf that you could put your clothes on our first room, the blind fell off the window and changed us to another room

Tiny rooms. We had room with King bed and there was not any more room for us! No dresser to unpack clothes of course as there is no room for it. It was a horrible experience. When one of us sat at the desk, the other person couldn’t move around at all. Go to the Quality Inn next door We thought Tru by Hilton, how bad can something by Hilton be. It was bad.

Overall very clean hotel. Rooms were clean. Only downside is poor quality of mattresses and pillows. Probably the worse I’ve experienced at a hotel.

Breakfast good. Staff nice. Room merely adequate. $350 for two nights way too much for this property. Ac as loud as a lawnmower. Hotel is in parking lot of a grocery store but next to Starbucks. No lighting in room. Shower old and chipping cracked. Maid only every other day

overall the place seemed kind of run down. Carpet int he hallways was dirty etc. The room seemed adequately clean but very very small and cramped for 2 people. Also the hotel authorized $25 per night in incidentals even though there is no mini bar int he room. Breakfast was very disappointing. I wouldn't stay here again.

The the whole experience was quite good. Actually., excellent I loved the front desk experience.. could not be better. Very kind and sociable. Very quiet in my room.. I find in other motels hearing the doors slamming shut is especially aggravating. When the door is closed, they were very quiet no slamming like in some motels. Fantastic hotel where they treat you like family. Fantastic service from Sabrina, Rochelle and Shirley.

Tried to get a room. Awful front service and unhelpful. Told me there were no rooms. Had another person call as I felt this person wasn't really looking, and he told her that they did have rooms. Absolutely uncaring service. I went right next door to another hotel and found a room.

Staff at check was rude. Then at midnight got a call asking if something was leaking in our room. We said no. 1230am get another call asking the same question. We had to get up at 6am for baseball and these people called us asking if something was leaking. Nothing was leaking we were trying to sleep. On top of that the tv kept shutting off the channels didn’t work. The fridge didn’t work. We didn’t have any soap or shampoo in the containers in the bathroom. For over 300 bucks a night and using the name Hilton this hotel was horrible. I should have spent the 60 bucks abs went to the motel 6 would have been the same result.

Breakfast staff- Friday staff - Shirley I think was her name. She was polite and very motivated. She had awesome customer service. She not once took a break. Saturday - Jennifer was rude. Seating was limited due to lots of people hanging out after eating. I am handicapped and can’t sit on bar stools. There wasn’t three seats together. We went to computer area. Staff John had first cubby. Next cubby had cleaner bottle on the table and Jennifer was sitting on the stool in the middle of the floor where the carpet and tile meet. She didn’t offer to move so we could have the table. The three of us squeezed into the next cubby. Jennifer sat there the whole time until John asked her to cover while he took the trash out. John was up and down as needed. Jennifer just sat there, in the way. We refused to have to deal with her on Sunday and didn’t have breakfast. She was sitting there the whole time while we were loading our vehicle to leave. She needs to be fired and/or learn what customer service is. Please note that John did a great job. Housekeeping staff - The staff on second floor was great and very helpful at helping us stay stocked on needed supplies. She was great during the whole stay.

This hotel is not relaxing due to the amount of noise coming from route 13 and if you have people staying above you, you hear every step and if they drop something- like a gun shot. I had an ESA and it was a struggle to check in and was charged the $50 pet fee. I am on disability and this animal is prescribed to me for function in daily living. The last Tru I staid at did not charge. Overall, very clean and staff is average. Good breakfast. Very loud with highway and people living around you. Will not stay there again.

I loved the staff friendliness from the front desk to shirley the helper at breakfast time. She is amazing. The clearness of your facilities are above standards. Good job

I like it is affordable and a close enough drive to the beaches.

Disappointing for the price and the alleged Hilton reputation. Property almost impossible to find at night. GPS won't help as hotel located in parking lot of a larger strip mall with no direct access to main road. Parking limited given shared location. No bathtub. For $200 I would expect a decent bathtub. Staff is very nice and rooms and linens are clean. About what you'd see around Raleigh, NC airport at half the price.

The hotel is beautiful. Clean, modern and new. Staff was great. The problem is the hotel sits right on a highway, which is convenient, but we were on the highway side of the building and we could hear every car and truck go by and a loud train whistle at 2:30AM!

Stayed there for a baseball tournament. Close to Sports at the Beach.

Love this spot - it caters to the Sports at the Beach baseball tournaments which was the reason for my stay. The hotel room was perfect with all the right items and quirky amenities too. The lobby has a great breakfast buffet with eggs, waffles, pancakes, sausage, oatmeal and grab and go items too. It’s near a Walmart and many food places and about 3 miles from the tournament site. It was perfect

Overnight stay. Everything was grood. The only thing I would criticize is the entrance from the highway. It was a bit tricky for us to figure out how to get to the hotel. The entrance is behind the hotel from the grocery store.

Excellent breakfast, better than expected . A little close to busy highway.

The room was spotless and quite attractive. The tv was big enough and had a fine picture. Bathroom was easy to use and also attractive, and it had a continuous exhaust fan. Previous guests spoke highly of the breakfast, and it was an excellent presentation. I particularly like the large labels on the different stations. Both entering and leaving, the folks at the desk were cheerful and helpful.

The variety of breakfast food was well thought out. The atmosphere was safe and convenient. I especially appreciated the staff's courtesy.
