We were in Fayetteville for my wife to have out patient surgery. The staff was accommodating about finding driving directions. It was convenient to have meals on location. An unexpected pleasure was sitting on the porch in a rocker listening to a Razorback baseball game.

Our stay at the Carnall Hall was wonderful. Love the Ella restaurant and bar. The room was on the 3rd floor and had a funky design for historical building and lighting was not there. AC unit was right above our bed, not a good idea. Bedding was great! The convenience of the hotel being on the University of Arkansas campus was nice and close to my daughter Apt.

Great Place, but a little trouble is “brewing.” This is a great property with a very kind staff. The issue is they have stopped self serve complementary coffee in the morning at the lobby. Now they have a coffee bar in the lounge and charge $4.50 per cup for average coffee. I hope they can make some adjustments because it will be a zoo whenever they have a full house. There is a Starbucks one can walk to, so that may be the future plan. I still recommend this place. It has so many pluses. And again, the staff is very friendly.

Loved that the hotel is on campus and across the street from my daughter's sorority house. Also love the ambiance. The inside is dotted with history in photos from long ago. The porch I loved! Our room was first floor and we only had to walk a few steps to sit on the porch. Nice views from there. Everything was blooming and I enjoyed the fragrance of the flowers too. Parking was on site and plenty.

Best lodging of our week in Arkansas. Beautiful historic facility and room on University of Arkansas campus. Enjoyed the bar and restaurant in the building. Jacuzzi tub in room. Access to university pool and exercise room. No microwave available. Road construction makes it difficult to drive to. Call the desk for help.

This is an amazing traditional building on the Arkansas university campus. Close to all the restaurants and nightlife. The 200 year old architecture is truly breathtaking Super clean, very quiet and professional staff. It has 2 restaurants. One a bit fancy and a pizza bar lounge. Brunch is offered daily. Room service. The restaurant and brunch is by far the best I’ve had in any hotel. A true chef is making fresh food. Only 2 small negative things : 1. Not everyone wants to eat out every meal. A microwave in the rooms would be great 2. Bar staff in the pizza lounge weren’t very friendly or inviting. Didnt say hi when I walked in, didn’t offer a drink, didn’t recommend anything, or crack any smiles. I didn’t go back, there are plenty of bars and places within 10 walk away where bartenders care more than they did. This is coming from someone who is a country club bar manager(I could be just too particular). (My staff wouldn’t carry themselves that way). But even with the negative bar experience, it’s still my top 3 places I’ve ever stayed in. Definitely recommend! It also has free parking! :)

My husband and I liked the charm and history of the building. It was so quiet for being on campus. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. We made good conversations with staff at the lounge. We were able to walk where we wanted to go so that was nice too.

We were roomed on the first floor (smelled like the basement). The level of humidity in the room was almost unbearable, the loud AC unit did absolutely nothing - Thank GOD for the ceiling fan - that was the only thing keeping us and the 3 bathroom cockroaches cool.

Such a charming Inn! Thr staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Our room had the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in, no exaggeration. We also had a small sleeper sofa, tucked into a nook under a window, which was lovely to cozy up on with a book. There were the cutest sitting areas throughout the halls. Can’t wait to go back!

We were put in the basement. The room next to us was the laundry room. Directly above us the restaurant. We could hear EVERYTHING. If you book this hotel request 2-5 floors. It would have been a five star if it wouldn’t have been for this room. I feel like it was the maid quarters at some point and they decided to make it a hotel room. Absolutely unethical to rent this room out as the rest of the hotel at the same premium price. Great place, great people who work there. Just make sure you are NOT in the basement room.

Great location and staff was very friendly/helpful but the hotel itself is very outdated. Our room’s air conditioner did not work. The engineering staff was great but it was unfortunately a weekend. They gave us another bed upstairs and we were able to sleep there and keep our stuff down in the other room. Staff was great from front desk to engineer. They’re doing the best they can with the condition of the hotel. Owners just need to do desperately needed upgrades to the hotel.

I do not recommend third floor if you are tall. Be prepared to sleep with the lights on if you want to place your phone on the nightstand to charge. The wiring in my room was the kind that the light switch has to be on for the room to have electricity. The plugs do not work unless the light switch is on. So, if you want the plug by the bed to work, the lights have to be turned on. Oh, and the bar closes at least an hour earlier than the hours indicated.

I really wish I could give this hotel 5 stars. I think with a little bit of updating and servicing a few items, the hotel would be top notch. The staff was friendly, the hotel was safe and clean, and the historic part made it even more special. But the mattress was one of the most uncomfortable things I have slept on since I last had to sleep on the ground. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that those beds are 30 years old. I can deal with a few of the other issues, but when I wake up mad and hurting because the mattress was so hard, it ruins the stay. It would not cost much to upgrade the beds and do a service check on pipes, drains, etc. I personally think your guest would notice a big difference. Sadly, I will not be staying there again unless the beds are replaced. I have a chiropractor appointment Tuesday to realign my back.

Historic building right on UA campus was first girls dorm so has that kind of charm in the renovation to a hotel/event space. King bed was comfortable, clean linens, although tight fit to our smallish room. Asked front desk about morning coffee (not Keurig) was told complimentary coffee available in lounge at 7am. Woke to lounge closed and front desk apologized saying no complimentary coffee but could buy in the restaurant. After spending 130+ USD with this place this soured my experience. Southern hospitality— really?

The room was just beautiful. The desk attendants were pleasant and very helpful. We had dinner one night at Ella’s and it was delicious and the staff were also amazing. Perfect experience if coming to visit you kids at UA.

The hotel and property is amazing and is everything you see on the pictures! My only complaint is the restaurant staff ...they come across overwhelmed, yet it's only a 50 room hotel and the restaurants are never really busy. One time they wouldn't seat me and it wasn't closing time and another time they got my order wrong and didn't attempt to fix it.

Terrible experience from start to finish. Booked through Expedia and, upon check-in, was given a room literally next to the front door. When I asked about it, the front desk almost gleefully told me “those rooms” are reserved for Expedia guests. Unreal. To make matters worse, I had initially booked the wrong night, canceled immediately, and re-booked correctly—yet the hotel charged me for both nights and flatly refused to credit me back. The property itself has potential, but the way it’s run feels unprofessional, nickel-and-dime, and downright shady. Plenty of better places to stay—avoid this one.
